The creature, surprisingly enough, seemed to not take damage well at all--after all, the body that it had been made from had been weak to begin with. As everyone's attacks struck the monster, blood spewed out across the room as the monster writhed and screeched out in pain, its tendrils flying about the room. However, as it continued to take more damage, its movements got slower--it was losing too much blood. Its movements slowed further and further, until at last, it froze completely--then fell down to the ground. The monster lay there motionless--its life having been ended by the attacks.
Kraven appearance in front of him at first only faintly registered to Ryder--as if it was barely something he should have been paying attention to. He heard Kraven's words, somehow, over all the din--but they didn't register with him until after Kraven told him not to give up.
"How...How can I protect myself...if I can't even protect my own sister...?!" he asked in a ragged, tear-choked voice, not moving from where he was. Normally, he would be more mindful than this--but for now, he could barely even think straight. He didn't want to think straight. He didn't want to acknowledge this as reality. However, there was no way to escape from this--Chelsea was dead. The last of Ryder's family had just died right before his eyes--his little sister was dead. He wanted to say something else to Kraven--but he couldn't summon up any words anymore. He wasn't going to be able to snap out of this so easily.
Justus watched the creature as the other attacks hit it--it was like a train wreck. Terrible, but he couldn't take his eyes off it. Now, it lay there, a mass of flesh surrounded by a slowly expanding pool of blood and other fluids.
"May your spirit continue on to rest without the cold grip of Sullonstein's hold..." he said solemnly. Then, slowly, he looked back over at Cain. Despite the fact that obviously they were all quite out of sorts over Chelsea, they weren't quite out of the woods yet...

Isaac kept slashing at the tentacle in front of him as others attacked the creature as well. The screams and blood coming out was not pleasant to watch as the creature that was once Chelsea finally died. "Sorry Chelsea...may you be in a better place now though..." He wiped away the tears with his sleeve as he regained focus on who the enemy was at the moment, Cain. This guy is not going to be easy to beat, if they can even beat him at all. Just what can they do? Every attack they throw at him, he's been able to dodge it without any trouble and seems to be enjoying this. "Fuck this guy...he just does what he wants and everyone else has to suffer..." The blonde looked at his card before looking back up. No time to be afraid. Now was the time to fight. Isaac readied himself as he took a charge at Cain and threw a slash with his card. He knew it wouldn't work but they had to do something to him!

Rika continued to cry and as she lunged she hit the ground instead of what was supposed to be Cain. He had vanished and shown back up behind her looking down on her, "HOW DARE YOU OF ALL PEOPLE LOOK DOWN ON ME YOU ARE A MONSTER" she spat her words out like they felt dirty in her mouth. She watched as that the thing that Chelsea had turned into took attack after attack by people who claimed to be her friends until it could no longer go on and she cried out in pain "SHE WAS INNOCENT.... GIVE HER BACK" she kept forward again firing the anti psychic bullets at him and trying to dig her knife into Cain to harm him an any way, to make him feel any sort of pain close to what her team was feeling. At this point she was just out for revenge because thinking about what had happened or standing still hurt too much to bear.

Pugsy was just about dead on the floor at this point, a lifeless look in his eyes, he just laid there on the ground, pretending he hadn't seen anything that had just occurred right in front of him. Kraven on the other hand, was still very much awake and understanding of what was going on around him. He watched as Chelsea's new body withered and died, she had gone down just like any normal human would. Cain still stood there, triumphant, he knew this battle wasn't over. Chelsea was the easy part... but defeating Cain would prove to be nigh impossible. Yuri looked to Ryder, he grabbed the red head by the collar of his shirt and lifted him up, looking into his eyes after he spoke back "Listen... now is NOT the time to be WEAK. WEAKNESS IS WHAT GOT YOU INTO THIS IN THE FIRST PLACE! YOU WEREN'T STRONG ENOUGH! DEAL WITH IT! I WASN'T STRONG ENOUGH TO SAVE THE PEOPLE CLOSE TO ME AND I DEALT WITH IT, SO YOU BETTER DAMN WELL DEAL WITH IT YOURSELF! YOU ARE WEAK! WEAK WEAK WEAK WEAK WEAK!" Kraven then slapped Ryder on the face "WEAK... but you were once strong... YOU HAD THE POWER TO SAVE YOUR SISTER... but you neglected to use it... so now here we are... you can't do a single fucking thing... the most you can do is get revenge by killing her murderer..." Kraven dropped Ryder to the ground, cocking his gun as he looked to Cain "We have unfinished business..."

Matthias stared in shock as Masque took hold of Chelsea, the action enough to finally jolt him out of his self-induced depression. No... Chelsea... she didn't deserve this... He gasped as the man revealed himself as Cain, shocked and now fully terrified as he watched him inject some sort of chemical into Chelsea. What... what had he done...? The whitette simply stared in shock and horror as Chelsea slowly became a creature of nightmare, feeling the bile rising in the back of his throat as he tried to back up only to meet the wall directly behind him. What sort of power, did this man have... in order to turn her into such a beast? Even as that which used to be Chelsea died, he found himself staring at Cain, traumatized and fearful of what might happen next. They had all been helpless to stop him so far... and if he decided to kill the rest of them as well... He shrank back against the wall more at the thought. Why had this man met him in the graveyard- and acted so kind...? Only to do this? He didn't understand, he didn't want to understand. All he could feel was shock and terror as another glance to the now dead creature reminded him of just what the strange man was capable of.
They... were all doomed.

Nate watched as the creature finally stopped moving, just standing there shaking, barely able to keep hold of his weapons.
It was dead...Chelsea was.....no, that wasn't Chelsea! She'd....died when Cain had injected her with whatever was in that syringe. That thing hadn't been her! Nate looked down at his hand, trying to force his grip to steady.
He still had to do something. He looked around, straightening when he found Cain. Right, they still had to deal with him. He was the one behind all of this.
Nate looked down at the lance, remembering there had been a gun built into it. Nate pointed the lance in Cains direction and pulled on the trigger, trying and failing to hold back his tears.

Jack smiled somberly at the poor creature that had once been her friend.
You're free now, deary. hm Your curse has been broken. Now you can rest in peace.
She turned away, still feeling a residual thread of her melded grief and blood lust. Innocence wasn't meant to be treated like this. That fate was to be reserved for the wicked. She let out a low, dark chuckle after a moment. It was amazing after all of the atrocities she'd seen, many committed by her own hand, that she could still be surprised by this. This world truly was a marvel.
After seeing Cain deflect all of the blows that had been sent his way thus far, Jack had gained a sense of how little they likely could do to him, but at the moment, all she wanted was to satisfy the dark feelings clouding her mind. It would be so nice to see some of his blood after all. Jack threw several daggers in quick succession at the man, preparing herself to move at a moments notice.

Bunny kept hearing the people talking, only vague bits and pieces of words. From what there was mostly, Chelsea was gone. She sighed, and banged her head on the stairs.
"Fuck...fuckfuckfuckfuckfuckfuckfuckfuckfuckfuck." she said softly to herself, knowing that not only was this gonna damage things, but Nathan was gonna be crushed, and somehow, I'd be her fault. She knew she couldn't do anything, people were dying as she was hiding under the stairs in the church, with no arms or legs. She had to figure something out, but she was totally stuck. Maybe there was a door to the outside? Who knew, but right now, she couldn't do a fucking thing.

As soon as it happened, it was over- Jo`s sight was glued to the defeated monstrosity on the ground. That had been Chelsea. No, to her-- it still was Chelsea. That was Chelsea`s flesh, her blood that had just sprayed vehemently across the surrounding walls-- all it had taken was a brief injection to distort her into... that-- what was in that vial...? She`d seen mutations before, but this was... on an entirely different level. The only source of mutations potentially that grotesque that she knew of was Black Dragon-- but this guy, whoever he really was-- was clearly not affiliated...
Jo bent her legs, palms pressed against the hard floor-- she wouldn`t accept her body`s limits, she needed to get up and fix this now-- but her still ripped open stomach was proving to be quite the task to work around, despite her feverish efforts. That could happen to someone else-- that could happen to Ivy, or Dorothy, or Ryder, so she needed to move quickly. That thought alone forced her onto wobbly legs, hunched over as her alighted gaze landing fiercely atop Cain- she could destroy him, like Poison said... this time around, she didn`t reach for her revolver- instead clenched and unclenched her fists, her breathing steady. Last time, she hadn`t touched a gun. But, this time- this felt unreal. This felt otherworldly. So did CP-02-- but she still couldn`t force herself to move... at the very least, until Kraven shouting not too far away from her became apparent. "DON`T YOU FUCKIN` LISTEN TO HIM, ASSHOLE!" Jo roared quickly, glaring bloodshot daggers at both Kraven and Ryder-- the latter definitely needed her right now, but she didn`t know what to offer-- his last surviving family member had just torn herself to pieced directly before his eyes. At the very least, she could ensure Kraven didn`t ruin him further... Jo hurriedly limped to where Kraven had dropped Ryder-- grabbing the redhead up by the wrists and forcefully pulling him onto his feet. She grabbed either side of his head, and began speaking quietly to him- though as composed as she attempted to be, she couldn`t stop the tears from streaming down her face, and couldn`t level her currently disheveled voice. "Listen. Look at me. Th-that`s not true. Listen to me-- m-mourn later, get angry now--" She cursed her stutter, but moreso cursed the fact that she couldn`t string words together like she usually could-- she didn`t have any passionate speeches about humanity up her sleeve anymore. Anything resembling humanity she thought she had was robbed from her-- all she did was stare at Cain over her shoulder with wide eyes, silently praying that artificial power would pump forward around her fists like last time... "...We can do this... he`s only human..."

When Kraven first grabbed at his collar, Ryder looked at the man with an expression of shock, quickly moving his hands up to try to free himself--although, before he could try, he was startled again simply by the man's words. The slap didn't seem to elicit a reaction for him, and as the blonde dropped him, he fell back down into a heap on the floor. Kraven's words seem to have the exact opposite of the supposed desired effect--he didn't even reply this time. His panic seemed to have diminished somewhat, but he had fallen extremely quiet--strangely so. As he heard Jo's voice, his head whipped up to look over in her direction, his eyes seeming to lock unwaveringly onto the hole in her stomach for a moment as she limped over towards him.
"Jo, no, you're--" Before he could finish, Jo was already pulling him up to his feet. He listneed to her closely, though, her words piling up on top of what Kraven had said--essentially that he had to take action now, no matter how much he wished that he could erase all that had happened today and do it over. As Jo looked at Cain and spoke again, Ryder replied in a quiet, wavering voice,
"We're the ones who are only human. That...thing...is a monster..."
He hesitated for a moment, looking from Jo to Kraven and back to Cain--then over to the pile of flesh at the other side of the room, before quickly looking away. He gazed down at the ground for a moment, raising his arm to wipe his tears away, although a new batch quickly replaced them. Still, he took in a deep breath, looking back up at Cain for a moment, then slowly raising his hand, pointing in Cain's direction. He tried to muster up something inspirational to say--something to churn Vulture Team up into action--but he couldn't think of anything. He was an absolute mess. All he knew was that, now that Kraven and Jo had pulled him past the fact that Chelsea was dead--it was now occurring to him that she had been murdered--by this very man standing before them. And as he pointed in Cain's direction, he only managed to sputter out a few words: "Kill him. KILL HIM!" He took a few stumbling steps forward, reaching down and grabbing his bat, his entire body trembling with rage or sorrow or who knows what. He knew that Kraven and Jo were right--and he took a few steps back again with his bat to join them again before pointing his bat Cain's way and addressing the dangerous man directly, his voice trembling just as much as his body--though in his voice, the rage behind the shaking was clear. "I...am not gonna rest...until I see you splattered across the ground. You hear me?! You're fucking DEAD!"

As the monster collapsed-- Cain`s smile actually twitched downward. It`s profusely spewing blood had splattered cleanly across his chest, but he was reactionless, instead focused on the fallen heap of flesh and fluid that had once been Chelsea. "Perhaps I should have chosen a larger specimen..." He mused quietly to himself, tilting his head to inspect the fallen beast. "...Hm. Rest in peace, Mercy child... you served well..." at the same time, attacks flew his way-- though all the knives and bullets collided with grotesque throngs of locusts that evaporated them with ease. "Let this be a lesson, Vultures-- a warning! Stand clear of my plight or share her fate! This is not your battle!" He bellowed, his echoing voice bouncing off walls and resounding endlessly. He clenched his fist, locust gathering at his feet to reform him completely as his rusty gaze scanned over the room, as if daring someone else to speak out... before falling upon another whitette, on the opposing side.
As soon as his eyes locked upon Matthias-- he faltered and seemed to lower his defenses, practically ignored every other voice in the room. He was still, oddly motionless like a statue... the room had fallen into anguish-filled chaos, but he didn`t so much as flaunt his small victory. As stagnant as he was, he somehow managed to look even more out of place-- glowering at the young man watching him with wide, terrified eyes-- clearly petrified of his power. Then, as abruptly as ever, he vanished completely into another gust of dust... only to reform, directly behind Matthias.
"Sad, was it not...?" He placed a hand upon his shoulder-- his skin wasn`t colored like an average human`s, it completely drained of any sort of color, and was freezing to the touch, similar to that of a corpse. "...Damian...what would you do for the power to never let anything like that happen ever again...?" He didn`t wait for an answer, continuing sternly, "Anything-- am I correct? You and I... we`ve both had our fair share of hardships... and we`re both out to adapt, and protect... cut from a similar cloth, as they say..." He loomed just a bit closer, and said quietly, "You do remember me... do you not...?"

Justus had been watching the scene unfold before them, eyes focused intensely upon Cain, trying desperately to figure out some plan of action to respond to this man with as Ryder yelled out to kill Cain--and yet, in that moment, after Cain spoke out, he disappeared--and Justus paused for a moment, looking around and trying to find him until the time came that Cain spoke again, and Justus wheeled around--his eyes widening as he saw the man's hand on Matthias' shoulder. In that moment, he felt his fists clench--meaning that at last, he could use his arms again.
"Fuck--!" Apparently Ryder had turned around, too, at the sound of Cain's voice, and quickly pointed at the man again and called to Vulture Team, "We're not losing anyone else! SOMEONE KILL THAT GUY!"
"WITH PLEASURE!" Justus roared, immediately charging towards the back of the room where Cain and Matthias were, completely forgetting that his lance was still in Nate's hands, totally being driven by the panic of the fact that the man who had just murdered Chelsea was now so close to Matthias. He ran over to them, swerving over to their side, skidding to a halt there before throwing a punch out towards Cain's side--due to his height, he wouldn't be able to reach the man's face even if he tried, so he went for the man's stomach or ribs, instead, glaring up at Cain and bellowing at him, "Do not dare to lay your tainted hands upon him! It is my duty to rid the world of dark forces like you, and I am not about to allow you to touch Matthias! Nobody needs your talk of power--nor does anybody need your kind of power! Light and justice will prevail!"

Ivy was sort of twitching violently as she tried to attack Cain, but her body refused to respond. Everyone's pained cries and rage confused her further- it was all too much at once. She just needed to do something, to destroy that monster so Ry-Ry would be okay then bring Chelsea back and everyone would be fine...but she was helpless, her body spasming as she struggled against Cain's immobilizing pressure-point attack. Pushing herself further, she managed to take slow, unsteady steps forwards, her hands trembling as they gripped vials and knives to hurt Cain with. When Cain appeared behind Matthias and it seemed that they might lose another person, the greenette quickened her pace, though it was still pretty pathetic.

"S-s-s-stop.."

Her voice broke unevenly, then her hands went up to her head- too much stuff going on, and she couldn't keep up with it when she was immobilized like this. The frustration kept building up until she felt the red burning that meant the Killer Gene was acting up. At this point, she didn't try to stop it- she needed its strength.
Her eyes went crimson and her muscles now saw no problem working against the physical barrier that the pressure-point attack had created. A crazy grin spread on her face and the girl that was now Armageddon flew at Cain with Justus and the rest of Vulture Team that was sure to follow.

"Gang bang~!"

She shrieked as she slashed savagely at Cain's face and chest with her poisoned daggers, while smashing vials of acid partly into her own hands, laughing manically and not even paying attention to if she was actually doing any damage.

"Yeah, well..." Jo let her hands fall to her side again, now turning fully away from Ryder to face Cain. "Even the worst of monsters were human at some point..."
Her voice was shaking, almost as badly as her knees and shoulders were, and she couldn`t stop herself from crying. On top of all that, seeing Ryder like this was almost physically painful... she felt like she should be acting as the voice of reason here, she should be acting like a leader-- but she couldn`t pull herself together long enough to even make an attempt. After all that had happened recently, her mental state was at it`s most fragile yet-- and this was far too much for her to process on top of it all...
She jumped as the panic rose again, with Cain appearing beside Matthias at the back of the room- her eye darted along madly, first centering on Justus as the bluenette charged forward, then onto Ryder, "S-Stop-- don`t do anything else, please--!" She didn`t know what to say-- she felt like a hypocrite, just a moment ago she had been telling him to get angry... but the thought of anyone getting too close to Cain was too much to bare. They didn`t stand a chance-- they had to stop trying, or someone else would die. He was already so close to Matthias, and she didn`t want to lose him either-- but they didn`t have a choice...! "P-Pick your fights wisely, now isn`t the--!" She cut herself off as a near silent squeak at the center of the room tugged her attention toward Ivy. The familiar gleam of madness she recognized from when Armageddon had attacked them all was back-- but this time around, Jo recognized it as the infamous Killer Gene. The same she`d seen within the countless memories of Xiu and Charles, and the same she`d seen on Poison earlier... She felt as if Ivy may have been their best bet, but alarms still resounded loudly in her head-- this was too dangerous. They had to fall back. They had to think of some alternative to just attacking him, this was suicide...! "IVY, GET AWAY!"

As Isaac tried to slash at Cain, the man disappeared. "Shit! Where did he go!?" He looked behind and saw that the man was now with Matthias. The blonde's eyes grew wide. No. He did not want another one of his teammates to get that liquid in them! Not after what happened with Chelsea! As Justus and Ivy now charged at the man, Isaac did the same as he sprinted over to the left side of Cain as he threw a slash at the man's torso. Even with Ryder and Jo yelling different things at them Isaac didn't care. He wanted this man dead and he isn't about to give up yet!

Matthias froze as if ice had formed in his veins as Cain met his gaze, his lungs seemingly no longer working as he felt his chest constrict, breathing suddenly impossibly difficult. He recognized the reaction immediately- fear. Complete and utter terror... He could feel a sound of panic welling up, clawing its way up his throat, but before he could make even a whimper- Cain had vanished into dust.
The reappearance of the man directly behind him, however, drew a choked gasp from the white-haired male as he tried to fight the sudden stiffness of his muscles- it was as if he couldn't move, as if he'd been chained down when in reality, all that held him there... was terror. The large, cold hand on his shoulder only caused him to jump, and he finally broke free of his immobility- only to spin around and gaze up at the other, his mouth dry but his hands clammy and damp from sweat. The hand on his shoulder earned a flinch, if not from the touch than from the cold- but... as Cain spoke, he froze. He... knew his name. His actual name. That was nothing compared to what he said next, however. Power... Despite himself, he found his head shifting some, the slightest of nods in response coming from him. Could this man... really understand what he was going through? It seemed as if he was all-knowing... surely he understood what he felt...? "... I... y-yes... I r-remember you..." he replied, his voice rough and choked from lack of use. "... I r-remember you... a-and I would d-do anything, b-but there's... t-there's no way..." Matthias flinched and stumbled back some as everyone suddenly attacked Cain, somewhat surprised- in his mindless panic he had almost forgotten there were others still around... He allowed his attention to be swept away by the flurry of attacks only for a moment before he returned his attention to Cain, watching him silently and with fear still in his eyes. Why had he singled him out...? Was he next to die? Was he simply taunting him like a cat playing with it's next meal? Luring him forward with thoughts of power and the ability to keep bad things from happening... It was too good to be true- yet there was a glimmer of hope hidden in his eyes that had been absent for quite some time. He'd given up on hope a while ago- but now... this man, immensely powerful- was talking to him of power...
Was there a chance...?

Mocha's eyes connected with Cain's for a moment and then... She felt it... She felt like some sort of pressure was on her. Mocha turned away and held her head. She felt awful... "What's... Ugh..." She tried to move something, but it hurt too much to mentally do it. She walked backwards over to Daisy and fell to the ground. "Shit... My... No..." Mocha said as she figured out that her powers were being suppressed. She looked down at Daisy, and picked her up again. She needed a way out... For not only herself but for those around her. Mocha with as much strength as she could get got up and started to find a way out. "Catherine!" Mocha called out to her former companion. "Take Dorothy! I'm going to find a way out for everyone!" she called as she kept on moving against the wall. Though she was concerned for Matthias, and what Cain was saying to him she had to find a way out.

Emilia walked back, hand on the hilt of the knife while taking steps back as the cyclone was forming. "And everything was going so well between us..." Emilia muttered, looking at Poison's arm in concern. She had to think of something quick... Something that will stop Poison. Since this Cain came into the picture he complicated everything. "No... I... Won't." Emilia said as she looked at the blood forming around her hand before taking hold of her lance. Emilia activated her lance, a glow coming around it. It was time to fight.

Nate tensed as Cain again threw their attacks aside as if it was nothing. He took aim at the man again. There had to be something they could do. There was no way out unless they could get rid of those locusts. Nate grimaced as he noticed Cain had moved closer to Matthias. No, Ryder was right they weren't losing anyone today. Nate looked down at the lance in his hands as Justus rushed forward. Oh no.
Nate contemplating rushing over to the knight when he remembered how poorly getting close to the man had gone before. Nate moved closer, still trying to keep some distance from the man at this point, and fired the lances gun at him.
One thing he knew for sure, they needed to get out of here. One way or another.

After a moment, Jack noticed her vision was now back to normal. Well that was fortunate. She drew out several more knives, hearing Jos voice. She was right. Close range attacks had only backfired thus far, and with him standing so close to Matthias, an attack with a blast had a high chance of hitting the whitette as well.
Jack chuckled, the urge to carve into Cain still strong. Still keeping a close eye on the scene behind her, she turned to the now sealed exit. Thse locust had decimated every attack sent their way thus far. Perhaps if they created another doorway? Though did they still have the weaponry to do that? She'd heard Mocha talk of trying to create a way out. Perhaps the womans powers could help in that matter. Jacks eyes followed Mocha as the woman looked for a way out. She threw a knife at the sealed exit, more or less testing how strongly it would hold with Cain preoccupied, before turning back to the matter at hand, keeping several daggers on hand as she threw several daggers in Cains direction, trying to come up with something of a plan. Their situation truly had become quite interesting.

Rika sat there stunned as he had just disappeared again this time not coming back to fight her, she saw that everyone had joined in on the fight but it was too late as far as she was concerned, he didn't even consider them a viable threat not one or all of them, not her. She wasn't even worth that bastards time, she was so beneath him that he didn't even glance her way when she attacked. And Chelsea was dead, her first female friend was dead and she couldn't avenge her, so all she could do was mourn her.

Cain hadn`t so much as looked up at the attention thrown his way- all long range attacks were again caught by bustling swarms of bawling insects, and he couldn`t be bothered to acknowledge those who thought to get up close-- Justus` punch phased through Cain`s side, and the knight was very quickly met with a well-aimed sidekick to the jaw- one that with Cain`s amplified strength, would be enough to send an average human sailing across the room. He didn`t honor Justus` attempt with a verbal response, or even a simple glance. At the same time, Isaac`s slash aimed at his chest phased through the area as well- Cain presenting himself as death incarnate was beginning to seem more and more plausible, with all of the almost ghostlike qualities he had been displaying during this confrontation. Isaac was met with a firm backhand to keep him at bay- and as he fended off the attacks of everyone around him, Cain`s attention was entirely centered upon Matthias, as if the whitette were the only other person in the room.
The moment the younger male responded saying he had remembered him- Cain`s lips actually tugged up into something of a smile, though not the same malicious smirk he had given Vulture Team earlier-- this one was much more genuine, as if he were actually touched by the fact that Matthias could recall their earlier conversation at the Graveyard.
"That is incorrect-! There is a whole world of chances before you, Damian-" He begun to insist, when a meek whimper from the other side of the room suddenly shifted into a crazed shriek- and recognizing that transformation immediately, Cain looked up in alert, quickly grabbing Matthias by the shoulder and shoving the boy behind him, aiming to protect him as Ivy pounced forward not a moment later. Cain was fast to grab her, though her daggers extended forward and cleanly created a long gash along his chest-- the wound immediately dripped with thick, black fluid- presumingly his blood. A pained grimace contorted his features for an instant before melding back into an authoritative calm. "If only you had thought to adapt sooner, Yvonne..." He murmured, putting silent emphasis on his knowledge of her name, "Perhaps the Mercy child would still be with us...!" As he finished speaking, a swarm of locusts dissipated from his legs and dived under neath where Ivy was being held mid-air, suddenly launching upward and taking the greenette along with them-- moving like a tsunami, they billowed to the other side of the room, detaining Ivy by keeping her against one of the walls. The attack had taken him by surprise, and despite the burning anger seeping from his glare aimed at Armageddon, that was one strike he hadn`t responded to offensively, opting for holding her away instead of inflicting any actual harm. For whatever reason, he seemed almost disgusted with Ivy, despite her being the very epitome of the perfection he was preaching.
Keeping the locusts where they were, he turned to Matthias, continuing now that Ivy had been pushed away, "Please, Damian- join me... I can fix you, just as I fixed the rest-- did you not see Poison...? I fixed her-- I can fix you--!" As he finished, locusts rose all around the two whitettes- creating a spherical shield to protect them from any more outside attacks from Vulture Team. Cain placed both hands upon Matthias` shoulders, his eyes piercing directly the other`s own-- though his voice was saturated with sincerity, sounding almost pleading and vulnerable. "Damian, there are different kinds of men in this world... There are men who dream and never make it off their bed. There are men who dream and fail. And then there are men who dream and change the landscape of this world... and what of you? This is what I want to know- are you not tired of feeling unwanted? Are you not tired of feeling outcasted and useless...? Damian today is your day because today is the day that I decided I was going to change everything-- today is the day that hell froze. Today, me and my people looked at fear right in the eye and said 'Mr. Fear, sir, you are a liar'-- they`ve been lying to you, Damian... there is no such thing as a hero-- but they`ve all become addicted to the illusion of a hero is... they have become addicted to the illusion of what a hero does for you-- they think they need someone to pat them on the back. They think you need someone to tuck them in bed at night, kiss them on the cheek, and tell them that everything is all right-- but everything is not alright, Damian, open your eyes-- and today is the day my people and I act upon our rage against the machine. What if I told you the man that made you originally was a liar...? What if I told you... that your own flesh and blood could turn their back upon you, the strongest of bonds could vanquish, the love of your life could be there one day but not the next-- but... but, I-- I would never turn my back on you, Damian. I can fix you. And maybe, maybe the answers that you seek have been before you all along... or perhaps, I, Cain, the creator of sin-- have been the answer all along... I can guide you, Damian... and with me, you can achieve true strength... I promise..." His hands moved away from Matthias` shoulders, moving down and grabbing both of his hands firmly. His touch, as chilling as it may have been, was somehow comforting at the same time. "Damian... Join. Me."

Isaac paid no attention to what happened to Justus as he tried to see if his slash hit the mark. When it didn't and the result was a backhand, the blonde was sent back to one of the walls as the collision was pretty hard. He used his arms to protect his face from the collision but even then, his arms were starting to bleed all over his sleeves now as he raised one of his aching arms to rub his cheek. That backhand felt like a million needles poking his cheek as the pain was really really high. "Shit..." Isaac kept on rubbing it when he saw Ivy now tying to attack as his eyes went wide open. Someone actually got a hit on the man. Someone finally got to get blood coming out of him. Black liquid was something he was not expecting however as she saw the upper torso Cain create a spherical shield around him and Matthias. "No! Matthias!" Isaac slowly got up as he was now panting heavily. The strain was too much on him but he couldn't give up now. Not when another live was at stake. He hobbled over to where the shield was as he tried throwing slashes at it. The slashes didn't even work at all and he couldn't hear what was happening, but the blonde kept on trying. He didn't want someone else to die and he wasn't about to give up! Sounds of pain was coming out of him however as each slash was taking a toll on his arms as blood was now starting to form in front of his feet from the droplets.

Justus grunted in frustration as he felt his fist only meet air--and then Cain's foot met with his temple, sending him sailing across the room and smashing into the opposite wall. However, that didn't stop him. He immediately rose to his feet again, a massive bruise on his face and blood on his lip. He immediately began to dash back towards the other side of the room, only to see Matthias and Cain consumed by a sphere of locusts.
"No--!" he shouted, running up to the shield and pounding against it with his fists, surprised at its solidness, due to the fact that it was made of insects--he couldn't get inside. However, he wasn't thinking rationally. He continued pounding against the shield with his fists, the bandages on his knuckles soon beginning to blur pink. "Matthias!" he roared, unsure if he could even be heard over the buzz of the insects. "Do not let him sway you! You must not concede to him! You mustn't! He calls you by a false name, Matthias, for you are the one that chooses who you are! You are Matthias because you choose to be, and no matter what this foul cretin may call you or what he may say, you must not listen to him!" He wasn't making any progress at all on the shield--not even a single dent. He knew that it was hopeless--but he kept on trying anyway, ragged determination and panic egging on his blows. The more desperate he got, the less formal his speech got, cluing in everyone around to his clear panic. "He's a villain, Matthias, he's evil! You can't side with him, he can't be trusted! You must not go--we need you! I need you! I...I know that I haven't always done the best job of encouraging you, Matthias, but--but I..." His breathing was becoming ragged now, tiring himself out with fruitlessly punching at the shield. Nobody could see his face, but it was an expression of desperation. "But I can better myself, Matthias, I swear...! I won't fail you, I mean it--! None of us want you to go--least of all me!" At that moment, completely out of breath, he stopped hitting the shield, standing there with his shoulders rising and falling with his breaths, before he looked to the ground and shouted, "Matthias! You can't listen to him--don't let me fail you again...!"

Nate watched as their attacks continued to do nothing yet again. With those locusts around, they weren't going to be able to do anything. He looked at the lance, wishing more than anything he could return it to Justus. He didn't know how much it could do, but it would have been something. He looked between Justus, Matthias, and Cain, not knowing if he could do anything. He didn't know Matthias well at all, but he was still his teammate and he knew how much the whitette meant to Justus. He still kept the lance pointed in Cain direction. He doubted the man cared to attack him, but right now his instincts refused to let him drop his guard right now.
Matthias, you already are strong. You wouldn't be alive if you weren't . Even if we all haven't always been able to help with whatever you're going through, you have friends here. Just at least please listen to Justus. You know he wouldn't lie to you.
Nate watched, just hoping the worst didn't happen.
Jack watched the scene before her, feeling a bemused smile forming. Well that wasn't unexpected. Those locusts really were quite the curiosity. were they in different circumstances she would have found them very interesting, but as things stood right now she wanted to rip them from existence. It was apparent attacking him wasn't going to accomplish anything, even with Cains attention riveted towards Matthias. She watched the man as he spoke, admittedly fascinated by his words. His logic really was quite fascinating. She turned back to Mocha as Justus began speaking to his boyfriend.

Matthias gave nearly no reaction to Cain swatting his teammates away like flies, the only one garnering a genuine response being Justus- he flinched, some, seeing the other flung across the room as he were. Before he could really worry, though, he could see the other getting back up, and he breathed out a sigh of relief- and then blinked as Cain suddenly was injured. That... Ivy had hurt him...? How had she... He noticed vaguely that she didn't look natural- but then Cain held her away and turned back to him, and he stared quietly as the man stepped closer and enveloped them in a sphere of locusts. It was... actually rather eerie- but it blocked off all possible distractions, and he actually managed to keep from flinching as Cain's hands found his shoulders. He listened quietly as the man spoke, finding himself hesitantly wishing to agree with his words. It was true- some people dreamed of great things, but through one way or another never made it... He'd assumed for a long time now he was just one who hadn't made it- yet... now, Cain... seemed to be offering him a chance at redemption. Another shot at fulfilling his dreams. The man's words were convincing, and he felt himself swaying. This man knew power- that was obvious. If he had a possibility of learning power like that... if he could finally be strong...
He bit his lip as Cain's hands moved to his own, the chilly touch startling him at first- but he soon relaxed, staring quietly at the other as he asked him to join him. A billion thoughts were running through his head- but over the din of locusts wings and yelling, he caught Justus' voice. He glanced aside for the first time since Cain had blocked them off from the others, staring quietly at the area Justus' voice had come from. Justus... He opened his mouth as if to say something before recognizing the other wouldn't likely hear, and instead he ducked his head, thinking quietly. "... I... a-all my life... I've been the weakling... t-the underdog... I t-took up a fake name and a-acted like a spy to try a-and hide from t-things that scared me- f-from the type of people that h-hurt my family... I t-tried to grow stronger and I t-tried to make myself better b-but it just h-hasn't worked and n-now I'm just a liability for everyone- i-it's not... t-that I don't care... I j-just... I don't w-want to be the helpless person w-who relies on others all the time!! I... J-Justus... I'm sorry... I... I love you, I do... but... I-I can't j-just let you b-be my knight in shining armor a-all the time. I h-have to be able to fight f-for myself, a-and... I w-want to be able to protect y-you too..." His voice had risen as he'd spoke, the tail end loud enough that Justus might even have been able to hear- before he took a deep breath and looked up, right into Cain's eyes, a new sort of determination in his expression that had been absent for so long. "I... I w-will join you-!"
