"Hey, who are you calling chicken?! I don't think s- ..." Having been both embarrassed and annoyed by Jason's comments, Matthias fell silent as Ripper approached, tilting his head as he listened to his problem, and Justus' reaction. He wouldn't use anything but his lance...? That was good to know. Stepping forward before Jason could, he held his hand out for the gloves with a small smile. "Sure, I can help test it out," he offered. He was actually pretty curious on if they'd work for him.

Jason was getting ready for an answer until Victor came. Jason shaked his head to a no when asked if he wanted to try them. "Sorry, but all I need are my weights." Jason replied while repositioning his bag. He really did love his weights and would always use them the best he can. Jason didn't really care much about those claw gloves.

"Don't you ever hurt my friends!"

"Not sure how this is gonna work for you, so keep them away from your face kid."He said smirked as he hended him the gloves,"I put a small pressure sensor in the palm, anytime you clench your sists with them on that claws should extend and be ready for battle...thank god for the stuff we have lying about."

Nodding as he was given the instructions on how to work the gloves, Matthias seemed genuinely interested in the new weapon. In his eyes, any addition to what you already had was a good thing. Carefully pulling the gloves on, while being careful not to trigger the pressure switch, he paused when he had them both on. "This should be interesting..." he murmured before clenching his hands into fists, while they were pointed to the ground. It seemed that they worked just as they should- the claws promptly shot out, making Matthias jump a bit in surprise. "Whoa... Yeah I know..."

Jason jumped in surprise when the claws came out. He didn't expect them to come out that fast! Hmmm this was interesting to him, he could have Matthias train for a bit with these new gloves. Jason had an idea and went into his bag pulling out another orange. "Here Matthias, see if you can slice this!" Jason threw the orange at Matthias's direction, seeing how his buddy would react to it.

Ripper shot his hands up in victory,"YES!!! SWEET!"He yelled laughing,"I'll be honest, I thought you're lose a finger or two there...but now that I know they work properly I can work on more of them."He said smiling,"You keep those kid, a gift from your old pal Ripper."

Matthias grinned as he looked over the claws, before looking over to Jason as he spoke. "Hey wait--" He frowned as he swiped at the orange, his normally fast reflexes taking action as the fruit was cut into pieces. "These... are badass..." he mumbled, before looking to Ripper. He looked like he had just been told Christmas was coming early. "Glad to know my fingers are important... But thanks!! Really, these look so cool..." Carefully deactivating the claws, he grinned as they shot back into place, looking over the gloves curiously- yet keeping them pointed away from his face.

"..." from the sheer silence you could that Jade was not amused. He stared at the creatures with a blank stare, but if you looked closer you saw disgust. One Ostrich nipped at his hair and he punched it in the face"BACK YOU FIEND!" Jade shouted and other Ostriches started to poke at him with their beaks. Jade didn't like this... "I HATE birds..." Jade growled as he just gave up and let the Ostrich poke him. As long as it wasn't on the face he was fine. "So... Ostriches... When can we cook them?" he asked as he crossed his arms as one Ostrich chewed on his hair, and then it was whacked in the face.

Dorthy on the other hand was having a blast with Joel. She asked for brownies and hot cocoa and they proceeded to have a tea party until she heard a shout. "What's an Ostrich?" she asked Joel as see peered out the window, her eyes going wide as Ostriches ran through the city with Kraven riding one. "... Mister Kraven and Nurse Catherine are back!" Dorthy said as she pulled Joel along to follow. She wanted to see those guys again.

"Impressive!" Justus said as he watched Matthias slice the orange in mid-air with the claws. "Are you sure that you're not some kind of reincarnated hero, as well? Hm...perhaps, with my training, you could arise to the hierarchy of legendary heroes of the flame! You could be...the...Hero of the Ivory Flame!" He grinned, having based the name off of Matthias's hair color. "It will be a long, hard road, though..."

Jason smiled seeing the orange sliced. He liked that his friend was liking the weapon. "Looks like you have another toy to use Matthias." Jason looked toward Justus. "See I told you that we might be other legendary warriors. Just wait for your memory to fully come back."

"Catherine..."Jade hissed as the woman smacked his hand. She actually hit him kind of hard but not enough for him to soothe his hand by rubbing it."I hate your horses! They're filled with disease! Nasty friends! They're NASTY! Jade shouted before he was trapped in a bear hug. Jade became red in the face and made a 'GEH' noise. "They're fine... Dorthy should be with Chef and ... Mocha is... Doing some side line work... Why do you ask? And... Kraven... As much as I love your body being pressed against mine... And i would prefer it naked... Let me go. Now..." and that's when Dorthy came in new dress and and all. "Catherine! Kraven!" Dorthy shouted as she tried to make her way through the Ostriches. She jumped trying to find the two and she also heard her dad. If they looked they would see tiny hands appearing between some ostriches, flailing about and spitting noise before Dorthy made her appearance. "Dorthy! What are you doing here? Get away from those animals! They're filled with disease!" Jade said as an Ostrich poked at him again. He growled at it staring right at the creature with a fixed glare. Jade vs. the blank stupid stare of the Ostirch. Who will win!? ROUND ONE.

"GAH!" Ostrich wins! Jade rubbed his nose, glaring at the Ostrich. "This isn't over... FIEND..." he said to the creature and continued to give him it's stupid blank look.

"Daddy? Um... These are Ostriches?" Dorthy asked Catherine, as Jade continued to stare at the Ostrich.

"My name is the Doctor. JUST... The Doctor."

"Is that a promotion?" he asked Justus with a grin, a bit proud of his words. He'd only cut an orange... It was instinct. "I'm up for training. If you think I might be a hero, then I'm not going to deny it," he said to Justus, before glancing at Jason and nodding. Indeed he did. He'd have to start training to get used to them soon...
