Sector 8 - Episode 1: "Welcome to Sector 8"

"You know... I once asked someone... somebody I looked up to so much... what does it mean to be virtuous...?"
A talk, dark figure stood over a man, tied to a steel chair in a dark, dim-lit room. There was the looming pattern of beeps echoing through the room, and a small red light flash reflecting off the tied man's face. He was a security guard, his eyes widened in terror as he looked up at the tall man in front of him. He had tape over his mouth, and try as he may to make some noise, nothing past a muffle could be made. The figure began to pace around the security guard as he continued to ramble on.
"There is no true definition of virtue! He told me... after all... true opinions exist, and a virtuous attribute to one man is a villainous one to another... so I tell you this...-"
The tall man lowered himself to make eye contact with the guard. The guard was once more terrified, he didn't know what he was looking at, there was something about this guy's eyes... something very off-putting... something terrifying-
"So... I tell you this... I may seemed a bit... er- EVIL... but do know-! DO KNOW! That one man's terrorist is another man's hero! Now ciao!"
The tall man papped the guard's face aggressively before suddenly kicking a nearby window in. He then slid through the window and just jumped out... even though they were on the 33rd floor of a building. The guard looked in confusion as the strange tall man jumped to his apparent death. No... there wasn't time to think about that- he had to find a way to escape. The security guard struggled to get himself untied, the beeping becoming louder and louder until he finally looked down. Before his feet was a time bomb, set to blow in mere moment. Besides it was a simple playing card: a joker.

The next day...
A shuttle from the MSI Space Station arrives, flying over the decrepit Sector 8. What is shown before it's passengers, the new team to be set in Sector 8, is a land of vice and chaos. Ruined buildings, the homeless wandering the streets in droves, military checkpoints everywhere. It looked like the very definition of a disaster. The shuttle passes over a gigantic screen playing the news on a military building. "The Terrorist Chesire strikes again... military outpost destroyed, dozens killed." One can't help but feel that the terrorist bombings detailed on the news are only a small component of the evil that lurks in this place. This is Sector 8, one will never find a more wretched hive of scum and villainy than this. The shuttle lands in front of a skyscraper... in fact one of the few left in the city. The doors to the shuttle open, and now it all begins...

Bird had been on the trip with the girls from the station the entire time. He was mostly just reading for the ride, but he made his presence very clear to the girls. He was an adult, an authority figure, from now on he made sue he would be like a father to them "We're finally here girls." Bird chirped, teleporting his book to another dimension and then flapping out of the shuttle. They had parked right outside Tallore Industries Headquarters, their new home "This will be your new home... I'm sure it looks somewhat... imposing... but I can assure you that you will find comfort here-" Bird realized how awkward her sounded... really he only spoke to his subordinates and Xanthe, he had no idea how to talk to teenage girls. Letting out a sigh, he bird-hopped forward looking to the building, out from the front doors of the building were a few security guards to escort them in "Now I must warn you girls... the man who owns this building is a tad bit eccentric... and his attitude resembles that of a wasp- to put it nicely..."

The Iron Steel
Jupiter was staring out her window during the entire ride. A new place to live. A place where her father wasn't living with her. Can she even do this? She shook her head as she realized that was a stupid thing to ask herself. They just had to deal with a monster and there was no time to be dreading about the past. She had to move on, for her father's sake and hers. "Right. Time to make father proud!" She looked down at her toy hammer as she smiled and gave a nod to it before getting off of the shuttle. The way the skyscraper looked was amazing and a bit demeaning to her as she never encountered one before from where she lived and wasn't sure if she could get used to this. She gave herself a quick pap on her cheeks to wake herself up as it was not the time to be scared of a structural building. Jupiter looked over to the bird as she followed him and the security guards inside as she listened to what he had to say. "So are you saying that this guy is going to sting us?"

Beata wasn't...very fond of flying. The whole time she was hunched over, really out of it. She felt sick to her stomach. Grace, worried about her Sister, helped for a second, before Beata regained her footing.

She wasn`t impressed, not by her teammates or this city or this building-- which apparently belonged to someone not from MSI, which was pretty okay considering she kind of hated MSI a lot and living in their base would suck... except this building belonged to someone new, and she didn`t like unfamiliar things, either. Suffice to say, the view that they had gotten out the window as they had approached the city hadn't been what Noely had been expecting at all. This place looked...well, frankly, horrifying. She hadn't actually heard of this place's reputation back on the space station, so she hadn't worried when she'd first been assigned to the team, but this was...well, she wasn't so sure she was feeling so confident anymore.
She followed the other girls from the vehicle, listening to Bird speak about the person that they were apparently about to meet--and she wrinkled her nose a bit, frowning.
"The personality of a wasp, huh...?" she mumbled to herself as she followed, quite sure that she wasn't looking forward to meeting this person. There was always the possibility that Bird was exaggerating, but Noely wasn't about to get her hopes up...

Bird cleared his tiny throat as the girls began to comment on his own words, perhaps he was being too kind in his description "Yes... a wasp. However I believe there is a more popular term used to describe him these days... what was it again...? I believe it was... a human dickwaffle. Yes." Bird spoke in a completely serious tone. They had now seen a tiny bird describe a human being as a human dickwaffle, they could now say they've seen everything. Security began to pile out of the building as it was clear this man would be appearing any moment now. Bird ceased his descriptions for the time being and awaited Max's arrival.

You'll be sleeping, eat, and staying here in this building when you are not out doing whatever your little organization does. You're being represented by Mahou Shojo...NOT my company. Keep that in mind if you decide to destroy anything like you did to your gaudy space station. I will sue you for everything you have and more. I'll practically own you" he let out a chuckle. "Honestly, you were doing me a favor, but I won't say anything else about that. You'll be assigned rooms. Unfortunately, I'll have to call you by your code names. Let's see..." He flipped through a clipboard shaking his head. "Oh right. These are final so, deal with it. In Room 300 is Aquamarine and Fire Titan. 301 is The Iron Steel and Radiant Defender of Beauty and Justice, Heavenly Monarch...wow...that's a...odd name, right next in 302 is The Meddling Tinkerer, The Sapphire Swan, Amber Cadenza. And Finally, in room 303 Fei Yen and...Grace...Dahlberg. These room assignments are final. Complaints will fall on deaf ears." he gave the clipboard to someone and they walked off. "Well that was painful. Right, before I continue, I suppose I should hear any questions you might have. So, out with it." he glared at all of them. He was obvious in no way looking for bullshit at this point.

Rona wasn't happy when she looked at this place. Everything was so... Dirty... And she couldn't see any water near by. Maybe there was some body of water around, but it wasn't exactly close to them? She would have to ask about that... Now Rona could make water herself, but in order to do her biggest attacks she usually relied on water being near her to finish the job. She could only make so much... When hearing about the person who would own the building Rona placed her head in her hand. "Great..." she said and looked to Noely. At least she seemed to be okay. When the boss came, Mr. Talorre, she had to agree with Bird. He was a 'Dickwaffle', though he didn't look like a dick that was waffled she figured that it was his personality that Bird was referring to more. Though it would look haliarious to see a giant waffled dick talking to them. Rona smiled to herself at that. Then questions came, "I have one... Are there any huge bodies of water inside of this place?"

Edana had been brimming with excitement the entire ride to Talorre Industries. While the building in front of them did look a little scary, Edana wasn't going to let herself become daunted. She'd made it this far, after all. Even if it was the first step, Edana was still glad she'd made it this far.
Edana looked at Bird, a bit confused as he described their host first as waspy then as a dickwaffle. She looked at the others, feeling a little better as she saw some of the other girls were just as confused by the birds choice of words. She guessed he was talking about this persons personality. She jumped a bit as Max suddenly arrived. She smiled when she saw he looked normal enough. Though his attitude wasn't very positive. Edana listened as attentively as possible. People like this seemed to like it when people gave them their undivided attention. Though her smile brightened as her rooming assignment was announced. Edana was used to sleeping with a roommate, so this made her feel even more at home. She looked around for her future roommate when Max seemed to be done speaking, smiling as she noticed Rona. It would be rude for her to interrupt the girl when she was asking a question though. Edana settled for waving at the girl very enthusiastically, hopefully out of Maxs notice.

Jupiter listened more to what the bird had to say as she got confused as well as what a dickwaffle meant. She never heard of that term before so what the hell did it mean? Before she could ask the bird however, out came their boss as he told them what they were to do and how to follow it. She cracked her knuckles as a grin smeared on her face. He stayed quiet as Max introduced himself, set the ground rules, told them about their rooming. Once that was all said and done, Rona asked a question that was reasonable... but then Jupiter asked a completely different question. Yes, what exactly was a human dickwaffle? Bird let out a small laugh before commenting "It seems that name really does stick with you! Hahahaha!" all was good and fun at the moment. But then the unexpected happen as words appeared before her and suddenly she was upside down on the ceiling. A bit of screaming happened as Jupiter wasn't liking this, nor did she appreciate it as well. Her voice then turned to anger as she fidgeted in her captivity. "I swear when I get out of here, you're going to be in so much trouble! Gah! Come on Jupiter! You know you can get out of this!" She then looked down to where the toy hammer would be on her. "AND NO IT WAS NOT MY FAULT! I JUST WANTED TO KNOW WHAT THAT TERM MEANT!" Jupiter started to thrash more and more violently up there, thinking that it might free her but to no avail.

The standard building will be for meetings only. Inside each room is a button, press that, and someone will come and see what you need. Shopping will be done for you. There is a cafeteria and such, if you want to eat together." He pressed a button on an elevator. "If you have other questions, ask later. I feel like it's time to get down to business."

She looked down at her toy hammer as she grabbed it and started talking with it. "Hey what type of business do you think he's talking about?" Jupiter stayed silent and nodded. "Ah I see! She nodded to what Bird said at the end though as she was hoping that the meeting had food as her stomach growled again.

Jupiter was thinking of food when she heard Rona was talking to her about the human dickwaffle thing. "Yeah that's what I wanted to know! I mean he doesn't even look like a waffle shaped like that, so I asked. Well that didn't end well." She then looked at her hammer. "You could have told me sooner what it meant though..." She then gave a raspberry to the toy hammer as she placed in back in front of her pants as she followed Bird and the rest inside the building. Edana practically jumped as Max seemed to be addressing her. Oh. She'd sort been hoping he wouldn't notice her waving. Luckily for her and really unluckily for Jupiter, as suddenly the girl was hanging upside down from the ceiling. Edana looked up at her, concerned and now forgetting the actually pretty legitimate question that had come to mind. She sighed in relief when the girl was back on her feet.
After seeing that, Edana's question could wait. It seemed like Max didn't really seem have the patience for much more anyways. She looked away from Max as Rona was suddenly patting her on the head. Her smile returned as she looked at the other girl, unable to hold back a quiet chuckle,
I wasn't trying to fly. I wanted to say hello! We're going to be roommates.
Edana nodded at the bluenettes question, whispering in case Max still felt like hanging people from the ceiling,
Yeah, I think dickwaffle is just an expression people like to use, not an actual species. I know I haven't heard of one before now. Despite being able to do...that, he seems human.
She smiled at Rona before turning to Bird as the creature began speaking. It seemed like now was the time to get serious. She nodded. The sooner they could start making the city safer the better!

Although plenty of the other girls were probably fine with the shopping being done for them, it just made Noely more skeptical. Were they not going to be allowed to leave this place unless they were working? That, while it did sound leagues safer than wandering around a crime infested city, didn't sound exactly very pleasant...
She felt strangely quiet today. Very awkward, too, honestly. Normally, she was able to be pretty open with people, but her mood had been totally stifled by the atmosphere, and she just didn't feel like talking right now. She followed along with the others, sighing at the mention of a meeting. Did they have work to do already? She tried to look on the bright side--maybe their work would make this city a better place! ...It was pretty terrible right now, though...it was going to take a lot of work to brighten this place up...
