The door to Amadeus Bar suddenly burst open as a half-dressed blonde flopped int, stumbling around and holding an empty bottle "I- urga- burga- I don't even spooky... skeletons... BAH!" the blonde sat at the bar, head against the wood as he continue to let out drunk mumbles. The Giraffe bartender approached the man "What'll it be?" he asked, to which the blonde rose his face to look the Freakshow in the eyes "sOMETHING STRONG-!" he screeched before hitting his head against the bar. "Huh..." the Giraffe shrugged and look over to a few of the posters in the back of the bar. These posters, put up by some of the 1%'s croneys, clearly labeled individuals whom were a threat to the Super Criminal community. Like wanted posters, but for criminals. This man... his face was plastered clearly on the posters: Nathan Crockett. Well then... that wasn't good. Letting out a sigh, the bartender searched for a heavy drink whilst Zombie continued to ramble like a drunkard.

Inna was getting really tired of working for NOWHERE. She didn't like having to see her old teammates every day, she didn't like that Braque was probably be going to have sex with one of them, and she didn't like the underground space. The Russian needed to get out and go back to some place she could be comfortable- the Amadeus Bar. As much as she hated leaving her brothers behind, she needed to be alone- except for that bottle of vodka, that was the company she needed right now. Walking coolly into the bar, she immediately recognized an outsider...and upon another half second of contemplation, she recognized an all-too-familiar face.

"Nyet."

She muttered under her breath- no way was Zombie here! There was just no way that her luck could be so rotten as to make Zombie come to this bar on this day. The blonde approached the counter and shook her head miserably.

Da, of course.

Sitting beside the drunk blonde, she waved to the bartender, who already knew exactly what to get her, then turned to Zombie. Her discomfort was palpable, but her mask covered any emotions that she may not have been able to hide behind the stone-cold expression on her face. Her voice came out cold and sharp.

"Why are you here?"

The bartender handed Zombie a drink around the same time Inna sat next to him, and as soon as he got a hold of the drink he quickly drunk down as much alcohol he could and then slammed the glass against the bar before abruptly turning to Inna "wHOOOO-!? Oh- hElLO iNnA wHY ArE yOU iN mY HoUsE!?" he drunkenly ranted before taking another drink. It was pretty obvious he wasn't all there "I'm gonna... I'm gonna punch... the giraffe... he knows too much... stupid giraffe and his... stupid neck... yes... giraffe doesn't understand that he... pumpkin patch... yeah..." the man ranted as he erratically swung his neck around before he suddenly turned to Inna and stared at her... and then he hit her hat off her head.

Inna had been steeling herself for the dangerous murderer who would probably try to slaughter her on sight....so what she encountered instead was quite surprising. She arched an eyebrow behind her mask, taking a drink of her vodka before speaking.

"....thees ees not your house."

She said bluntly, then got up as the man started threatening to hurt the bartender. That wasn't okay, the Giraffe provided alcohol! Of course, while she was looking threatening and about to restrain Zombie for trying to hurt the bartender...the man just knocked her hat off of her head. She had been tense before, now she was angry.

"Not. The. Hat."

For a moment, the Russian didn't even go down to get her hat, she just glared daggers at Nathan, genuine fury in her eyes.

The drunk blonde looked at Inna, glaring right back next to her "Yer hat is- *hiccup*... STUPID!" he insulted the hat, and then fell off his chair dropping his glass. The glass of alcohol shattered, which lead to the entire bar staring at the two. Shaking his head, Nathan got back up before stumbling over and crawling to her hat. He picked it up and started to munch on it "I'm... I'm gonna eat the hat... I'm gonna eat it..." he rambled as he tried his best to eat the hat. It was just out of spite at this point, he didn't like the look the Russian gave him when he hit the hat off her head.

Inna visibly cringed as Zombie let his glass shatter- that hurt her more than the supposed insult coming from her ex-teammate. Such a waste... Of course, it was worse when the man went down and started attempting to eat her hat. Too far. Jumping off of her stool, avoiding the looks they were both getting from all the others in the bar, the blonde stepped on Zombie's arm, hard, trying to force him to drop the hat. She then put her other foot on her other arm, pinning him to the ground as she glared down at him.

"What the fuck are you doeeng here?"

She asked, shaking her head at the state of the man that had once been her friend.

"You need to get your life together, look at yourself!"

After a brief pause, she looked down again.

"What happened to you Comrade?"

Inna didn't seem to notice that she had called the person she now considered to be her enemy "Comrade".

Nathan sloppily looked up at Inna as she asked him what he was doing here "This is my house..." he responded in a half-conscious voice. The guy didn't even seem to react as he was basically pinned by the Russian, he only responded as she spoke her last sentence "Comrade...?" the blonde spoke as his eyes widened. Slowly, a grin began to grow on his face. But it wasn't a happy one, far from it "We are NOT comrades..." he spoke in a weak, but composed voice "I am your enemy... don't forget that. I want... no... I NEED to kill you... and nothing will ever change that... heheheh..." slowly, his somewhat controlled expression broke into a rather twisted smile as the guy giggled.

Inna sadly shook her head as Zombie proclaimed that the Amadeus Bar was his house...but her pity melted away as he pointed out the mistake she had made by uttering that last word.

"That ees not what I-"

She was interrupted by Nathan's words, which reminded her just how torn their relationship was. Stepping off of his arms, Inna sat back down, glaring at at her vodka bottle.

"I do not need to be reminded about thees.."

She took a big gulp of her vodka and looked back down to Zombie.

"What ees eet weeth thees...obsesseeon? Why can you not just... leave me alone?"

Inna looked like she wanted to rip the grin off of Zombie's face- she would probably try soon, if the conversation kept going in this direction.

Nathan actually seemed to get some twisted joy in the reaction he garnered from the Russian "Well... for starters... there's that criminal record of yours, remember that? Not to mention you're the genetic offspring of that godforsaken piece of garbage Kraven... oh, and of course... " the blonde's grin grew as he seemed to be leading towards saying a few more words "You hurt my pride. And I hold grudges." he had just blatantly said he just wanted to kill her for the sake of it. Shaking his head, the man seemed to be regaining some his stature. However, there was always the chance he was being more harsh than he'd usually be due to his intoxication "How does it feel to be the child of a monster? Hell..." the assassin crossed his arms as he rose his chin "How does it feel to have half your face melted off...? When did that happen? Oh, lemme guess! One of those muscle bros you love so much did it to you~" at this point he was just trying to get more of a reaction from the mercenary.

Inna could handle the personal attacks at first- she was used to being called a criminal, and knew that she could justify her actions, so that wasn't a problem. What surprised her more was the fact that Zombie would admit that he was going after her not for any of the other things on the list, but mainly because of his pride.
The Russian seemed to keep calm enough through the first round of abuse, but then Kraven was mentioned again. Slowly her fists started clenching, but her eyes remained the same color. She didn't care that her scar was mentioned and it genuinely seemed like she was going to be able to handle all of this rather calmly... Until her brothers were mentioned.

"You do not get to about about them, deesgusteeng scum."

She growled, pushing the man against the counter violently as her eyes took on an increasingly red tint. There force from the push made several glasses wobble and fall to the ground, wasting more alcohol.

Nathan mainly seemed to be angry, very angry, but that all changed when the man could see some visible anger coming from Inna. Suddenly, the blonde seemed to be content, he was happy to get a reaction out of the Russian once again "Tch..." the assassin cracked a smile as he took a step back away from Inna and shrugged. Might as well go for the kill "Hey... remember when I almost killed them both twice? Yeah that was fun... maybe next time they won't be so lucky~" letting out some light laughter "Well I just talked about them... you mad bro~?" he continued to taunt her, his hand slowly reaching into his pocket. The assassin had a weapon hidden in his pocket, and he was ready to draw it in case Inna attacked. AT this point, he just wanted to get as much of a reaction out of the Russian as he could "Come on... attack me... tell yourself I'm a dickwad... everything I've done is justified... you and your brothers are criminals... I can kill you all whenever I want..." of course, there was still that lingering resentment from five years ago. The fact that he risked his life to free his allies from Charles only to be permanently branded a traitor from them all made him sick, he wanted, not he felt he deserved, praise for what he had done for them all.

As Zombie continued to taunt her, Inna was holding herself back, stopping herself from advancing with every step back that the man took. He had made her suffer for too long, and he was still not content with what he had done- he couldn't just leave her be now that she had finally found a remotely happy place.

"Do not... I do not want to hurt you..."

She growled, but she was lying. She knew she wanted to hurt him with every fiber of her being. It seemed that somehow she was unable to see him as anything other than the one who abandoned her when they were in the Suicide Squad, and since then the tension had only been escalating. She didn't understand why she felt so much hatred.

Probably because he's the type of dirty criminal I hate..

She tried to justify...but he did the same thing she did- he scouted out people that he thought were in the wrong, and he finished them. How much better could she be? The Russian pushed the thought away - he was threatening her brothers. Nothing mattered apart from that. She didn't care about Nathan reaching into his pocket, she was too riled up with his taunts. She seemed right about to attack, her fists clenched and teeth grinding from making herself overthink their relationship....and then he told her to attack.
The heat that had been rising in her seemed to stop rising- it was still there, but she could control it.

".....I do what I want."

She managed to spit through semi-grit teeth, sounding a lot more childish than she had intended (she didn't get the connotation of the sentence), then added.

"But we both know you could not keell us eef you tried."

Nathan couldn't help but roll his eyes at Inna's refusal to attack him "Oh... seeing how easily I took down those two meat bags already... I think I could kill them, yeah. You however... you're another story. You could probably even kill me... but I guess I'd be content... seeing as how I'd probably have killed your two "brothers" first~" the blonde continued to attempt to get a reaction out of her. Zombie pulled his hands out of his pockets, he didn't see much of a point in being defensive anymore. "It must really eat you up inside..." Nathan spoke, a grin still on his face "That I've become a legitimate authority when you and your little Wolfpac are playing cops at best... how the tables have turned... five years ago I was the hapless vagabond and you were the pure cinnamon bun working with Paladin..." the blonde shrugged before turning his back on Inna. When they first crossed paths, Zombie and Inna were practically on the opposite sides of the law. Inna could pretend to fit in with the Suicide Squad all she wanted, she was still the law-abiding citizen of the group. And Zombie? He was the self-proclaimed social justice warrior who killed those who he believed preyed upon society. In the five years that had passed since then Inna had taken on Zombie's previous calling while he sought out to work for a higher authority. Nathan wasn't just law-abiding, he was the law. Five years ago Inna probably would have considered him one of the good guys "You're no good-guy... you're just a disruption. Sure, you think you're doing good by opposing me and my allies but you're not looking at the big picture... all you're doing is delaying the inevitable... the world is recovering Inna. The age of Super Criminals is over...!"

Inna could feel the need to hurt Zombie, but somehow her Killer Gene wasn't taking over, she had some control when it came to her brothers, it seemed. Taking longer, deeper breaths, she was keeping herself under control, but her ex-friend's words were starting to corrode her armor.

Inna glared at Zombie as he referred to her as trash- not that she wasn't expecting it, but she found that she needed to make herself look scary, or he'd notice that he had more power over her than she'd admit.

The Russian was trying to block out the next words as Zombie approached her further. She didn't want to hear about how great the people she was fighting against were. She didn't like to think that she was working for the opposite side now, but she could not being herself to believe that it was okay to do what Paladin did.

Nathan was pretty quick to retort Inna's claims "CP-02 was working with The Mistress! Not Paladin! And now the AI is gone and it's under new leadership! You don't have that excuse... the head may have been corrupt but Paladin was always filled with individuals who wanted nothing more than to help the public! When Charles was destroyed those people took over the organization!" shaking his head, the blonde turned his back on Inna and asked for another drink. he was quick to take it and gulp the whole thing down "Yes I believe in what they do... and yes... I know what the organization used to stand for... we were all part of it... but the organization had changed. Just like the world has. I'm no fool Inna... do you really think I'd be work with them if I didn't trust them to some degree?" Zombie spoke, meaning every word he said. Of course, he was no idiot, Paladin wasn't an organization wholly made up of saints. And of course Nathan didn't consider himself one either. He knew Paladin still took plenty of questionable actions, but he also knew that the ends justified the means. He didn't care what they had to do, a peaceful world free from the influence of crimelords was worth the sacrifice.

Inna wasn't sure what to do with Zombie's responses. The man was making sense...but she hated Paladin intensely. She had watched them ruin lives, use people, including herself...and then he said the thing- the thing about the ends justifying the means. THAT was classic Paladin. THAT was not okay.

"You cannot just- eet ees not-"

The Russian was evidently struggling to express her thoughts on this. She took her own large gulp of her drink, pausing for a moment before continuing.

"PEople cannot just be numbers... There are real people affected by thees...thees organeezation. Paladeen, Ulteemate Justeece, MSF, they are hurteeng eennocent people along weeth ever rat they weed out. They conspire and corrupt and...I do not understand how you can stand eet."

She knew that her own hands were far from clean- she had been suffering with this since she had realized her heritage, which had made her turn to crime in the first place - but she believed she was somehow still in the right. She didn't undestand how Zombie could deal with it because she had barely been able to deal with it herself.

Nathan clearly had a conflicting philosophy with Inna, as her words failed to strike a chord with him "Oh... but here's the thing... I think they CAN be numbers... at least, if it would be justified. A few people suffering means little if their suffering can be used to prevent the whole of society from feeling that same pain. What would you say then? That we simply continue living in a chaotic world where we all suffer? No... I'd much rather a select few feel pain so everyone else can live a happy life. You'd never understand that... you CHOSE to become a criminal. While I... I didn't get to choose this life. Everything would have been better if someone else would have suffered to prevent me and everyone else from having to live in this world... I would suffer if it meant saving this world... and I'll sure as hell make OTHER people suffer if it means saving the world..." it was at t his point that Nathan subconsciously made a judgement about Inna: that she was weak. She had shown her true nature by denying her words. She simply did not have what it took to be on the side of rigorousness. She could not make the sacrifices, both physical and moral, needed to save this world.

Inna had been close to despair a moment ago, but now she was finding her anger growing again- her behavior had become a lot more unstable since her training with Kraven, and she seemed less prone to forcing herself into feeling nothing (she knew she didn't like this at all). The Russian could see Zombie's eyes judging her, his words being spat at her like whips, announcing his disdain.

"You do not know what eet ees like to be forced eento violence. Eet ees leeterally een my genes, Nathan, so I was weelleeng to sacreefice what most mattered to me when you knew me, the only theeng that kept me sane- the knowledge that I was eennocent."

She started saying, her voice growing from a low, angry mutter to a legitimate statement voice as she went on.

"I gave eento what I most hated, these curse along weeth the creemeenal world that you came from, because I saw that there are no good guys anymore. I am not, you are not, Paladeen ees not- eet was time to stop pretendeeng, when I knew what was my hereetage, and do sometheeng for someone other than myself. You keep telleeng yourself you are helpeeng people because you are righteous...you do eet because eet makes you feel supereeor- that ees what I deed when I helped Paladeen! Eet was for my own good and I would not even admeet eet to myself, but when I deed, I changed."

Listening to the words coming out of her mouth, even she could hear the contradictions and muddled thoughts, but at this point she had been drinking before coming into the bar and kept on drinking while talking to Zombie, so she didn't stop.

"Eef you want to theenk you won, you do not need to wait for my confeermation again- I have told you before that I hate what I am, what I have become as compared to what I once was, but at least now I am aware of my own heepocracy. At least now I can act accordeeng to my idea of right or wrong, even though I know I have no right to choose what ees right or wrong! But I know thees! He was pissed "You thick-skulled Russian bitch..." he muttered, trying his best to not show his anger to her, though he was fully aware how poorly he was doing so. By the time Inna was talking about the absolute truth he snapped "YOU CAN BE AS CLUELESS AS YOU WANT INNA! THE ABSOLUTE TRUTH IS THAT I'M PROTECTING THIS WORLD AND YOU'RE FUCKING IT UP! THAT'S ALL YOU EVER DO! YOU FUCK THINGS UP! BUT I GUESS THAT RUNS IN THE GENES DOESN'T IT!?" the blonde grabbed the Russian by the shoulders and continued to shout "YOU'RE THE ONE TRYING TO MAKE YOURSELF FEEL SUPERIOR! WITH YOUR STUPID SELF-RIGHTEOUSNESS AND YOUR STUPID HAT AND YOUR STUPID EYES and oh my god kiss me-" the blonde seemed to realize what he was saying a few seconds after he had said them. Inna was getting riled up as quickly as Zombie was, gritting her teeth so hard that her jaw was starting to hurt. She was holding herself back, but as the man started picking at the sore spots, the "fucking up" nature in her genes, she was going forwards, ready to hit him before coming to her senses when he grabbed her. He was the aggressive one, not her, she needed to not hit him and keep her composure and try to shrug off his words and-

"Deed you say-?"

Her own eyebrow rose, mirroring Zombie's as they both realized what the blonde had said. The man quickly tried to clean up after himself, and Inna planned to play along. Staring at him for a second longer, trying to gather her thoughts as she thought about how to react, she just...pushed him to the ground. Without a word. Just pushed. She was flustered.

Nathan continued to drone on with his hostility, trying desperately to hide what he had just said "ACTUALLY YEAH- YOU'RE UNDER ARRE-" and then he was pushed. Since Inna was still a fair deal more physically stronger than he was, the assassin was pushed to the ground without mercy. At that point, Zombie kind of just stared up at Inna in disbelief. Disbelief at what exactly was hard to determine, but something about his expression just screamed "what the fuck is happening right now?". And he just stayed still like that for over a minute, as if he brain was starting to figure out how to fit the current events that were transpiring into his world view. And surely, the blonde soon got right back up with a sudden look of confidence "HAHAHAHA! You're so naive and immature, child- here's something you need to understand, you're nothing but a criminal, and me? I'm on the other side of the law, working with the MSF- as much as you may be TOTALLY INTO ME, you need to understand that it will never work. I mean like-" Zombie struggled to speak for a bit, it seemed as if he had just snapped. He cleared his throat and calmed down for a bit... he calmly slipped his hands into his pockets and took a calm and collected demeanor "So- erm- hi? Fancy meeting you here-" he just casually spoke out, pretending they had just met up. What exactly was he trying to accomplish? Nobody knew, not even Zombie at this point.

Inna was pretty proud of the way she had handled that situation. Pushing Zombie to the ground made him not be in her immediate view, so she could think. Seeing how the man was spending a lot more time down there than she expected, while she took that time to think, she eventually looked down, only to be met by his puzzled expression, which happened to look a lot like hers right now.

"I-"

Before she could try and formulate any sort of sentences, Zombie was looking not so confused anymore, but his words were confusing her even more. She was into him? Had she said that at some point? She was pretty sure she hadn't, as this was the first she'd heard of this... Then he was changing the way he talked again, and the Russian's constant gulping of vodka gave away that she was becoming more uncomfortable with the situation.
Seeing how she was confused, she decided that violence was the best way to deal with this.

"Shut up-"

Inna punched Zombie in the face. Then she stared at him for a full minute in silence before grabbing his shoulders and pulling him into an embrace. What was going on right now? She had no idea, but she felt like it was the most appropriate course of action...which was weird because she hadn't hugged anyone but her brothers ever.
