Syythe was sitting at a restaurant with Shadey, after a long rest, he was feeling back like he was in top shape. So many things had happened in the past day of his life... except... only a few hours had passed since he was gone apparently. Somehow, even after spending at least a whole day at Red Moon City, it had barely been a few hours. Strange. Either way, Syythe was eating a hotdog "I swear Shadey...!" he spoke to the 'kid' with his mouth full "Me and Diana went to like- a whole different dimensions! And there was a red moon! And we fought this ruler-of-the-world guy! It was so awesome! I like- totally just saved the world! I swear!" he told Shadey as he continued to munch on the hotdog, he had been talking about this all day, non-stop. He just walked away from Shadey and Aerie for a few hours then returned swearing he had been gone a day fighting off an inter-dimensional invasion.

Tenebris, it was a dark, dreary, horrible place. Compared to the streets of a bright, sunny Phantasma... Tenebris was an utter shithole. He hated dark dreary places like this, it was depressing. But alas, he was here for work. The university had asked Sting to travel to Tenebris to study this so called 'Heroes' phenomenon, it seemed like the higher ups were planning something. He didn't like it, any of it, it all seemed so sketchy ti him. Sting just wanted to get this over with and get back to his theory that some magical intervention was going to make the sky black out. Something was definitely going on up there. The professor let out a sigh "Meh..." he muttered to himself, walking into the city. At least it wasn't rainy. The sky seemed pretty clear.

Sai was atop a building, her legs hanging off of it as she glanced at the people down below. This city she was in was dark and dreary. Perfect for her to move around in unnoticed if she wanted or was on a job. And she did have one, she had to kill someone. However, at this point in time of her life she was thinking about what she was doing, and she wasn't sure if she liked it. She killed people for a living, at first for just revenge but now for money? Her heart wouldn't stop feeling heavy. With a sigh the Avain like person put on a cloak and scanned the streets to see if she could spot this man. Se jumped down and into an alley way, with a quiet 'Woooosh', and began walking down the street. She didn't feel like herself today. She wondered if she should go into retirement, but then dismissed the idea when she remembered what retirement was. 'A cold blade to the throat.' she thought as she looked up at the sky. She wanted to fly up there already. She hated this cloak and how it felt on her wings.

Sting wondered why he was picked for this assignment, really, any of the other professors at the university could have done this, why him? He felt a tinge of anxiety for it all, maybe the university was hoping that Tenebris' infamous crime rate would claim Sting as yet another victim? He was rather known for stirring up problems within the university after all, he called out a lot of the hire ups on their corruption. Because of that, Sting had quite a few enemies in Phantasma. The man continued to walk through the streets of the city, still wearing sunglasses despite the fact that it was cloud and dark. Really, he just wore them because they made him look cool. This whole situation made Sting rather bummed. In Phantasma, if he was down, he'd look up to the sky, the sunny blue sky. It was always beautiful to him. He did the same thing here, only to look at ugly clouds and smog "Tch..." this was really rather horrid. Then, the man caught something in the corner of his eyes... atop a building, someone, in a black cloak? Before he could focus his eyes on the cloaked figure, it jumped down into an alleyway. Sting rose an eyebrow "Okay then..." he muttered to himself, that looked sketchy. And so the man began to walk at a quick pace towards the alleyway, following the cloaked figure from behind as it walked through the streets "..." something was definitely sketchy.

Any normal boy would doubt the sincerity of Syythe`s story- after all, it`d only been a few hours since him and Aerie had last been hanging around the gunslinger. And when he returned- he came with stories of fighting this "ruler-of-the-world-guy", claiming to have saved the world and suchnot-- but, then there`s Shadey--
"Man, that`s so cool!" Syythe had been telling the same story all day-- and Shadey had been having the same reactions all day, as if it were the first time hearing the story each time. Honestly, it wasn`t like saving the world wasn`t a common occurrence around here anyway... "I wish I could`ve been there! ...Why was the moon red, though--? Was it okay--? Did they do something to it...?" He seemed quite honestly concerned in the subject- it was a totally legit concern, after all. The moon must be protected at all costs! And even though they were at a restaurant- it seemed Shadey hadn`t ordered anything in particular. He was just here for Syythe`s company! "...Did you try asking it--?"

Syythe had about half a hot dog left before he just decided to stuff the entire thing into his mouth and swallow it whole. Then he let out a relaxed sigh "That was great!" really, the food was all he cared about at the moment. He hadn't eaten anything for a day after all. Shadey's answers helped booster Syythe's ego though, because he totally needed that "Psh! Of course! It was totally cool." he told Shadey, before he asked about the moon. Ah yes the moon "Something was totally up with it...!" he told Shadey "I bet it was that evil guy. Evil dudes always fuck stuff up like that." he really doubted Lord Nerro wasn't behind that "I dunno man... I can't speak moon. I went to public school!" he added, though he really wished he could speak moon "Hey also, where's Aerie? Wasn't she with you when I left?"

As Sai walked, craving for the darkening sky above, she paused for a moment. She looked in the window in front of her and saw a young male behind her. Was he following her? She supposed she did indeed look suspicious. She made note of it before turning the corner and into another alley way where there would be a dead end. If this man was truly following her then they would discuss this habit of his his. She turned around, looking onward, "Is there something you need?" she asked the man her cloak covering her body well, though he would have seen some feathers the poked out as she stood before him.

Sting watched the cloaked figure carefully, trying his best to not stand out. he kept his hands in his pockets, and hopefully the sunglasses would keep them form making eye contact if she looked behind her. Ironically, it all just made him look rather suspicious too. Eventually the cloaked figure made a sharp turn, and thinking that she was trying to get away, Sting followed rather quickly. He ran into the alley, only stopping once he saw the cloaked figure, directly standing right in the middle of the alleyway, looking at him. Well then. Sting grimaced, this probably wasn't good. Then the cloaked figure spoke, it was a woman? Sting looked almost surprised, he had no idea why "You looked rater suspicious... so I followed... as simple as that..." he told her with a straight face, tightening his fists "You could be looking to start some trouble... you're certain... dressed that way..." he told her, unsure of where this was going to go. For all he knew this woman was very dangerous, and he was out of his league. Either way, he wouldn't be able to forgive himself if this woman took someone's life when he stood idly by "Who are you...?"

Sai asked as she placed a hand under her chin. "However one could argue that I am acting just as foolish. Leading you down here all alone... Alas I'm not just any woman." Sai said as she thought about it. "I am Sai... And your a hero aren't you?" she asked as she took a step forward. It only made sense given to the action he did.

Sting rose an eyebrow to Sai as she told him how foolish he was. She was right, he was putting himself in quite the situation. He had a habit of getting himself involved in stuff that didn't have anything to do with him. It was quite a habit. She continued to speak, but Sting didn't so much as flinch, he stood there, standing strong in the fact of danger. Then she took a step towards him, and he immediately brought up his fists into a boxing stance, unsure if Sai was about to attack him. Then she asked him if he was... a Hero? The young professor's eyes widened in response to her question. Him... a Hero? It couldn't be "I'm... I'm just a professor... I've come here to study Heroes... but I wouldn't call myself one..." he told her, still unsure if she was going to attack or not.

She found his defense amusing, and quite wise. When she mentioned that he was a hero who finally looked a bit flustered. "Ah but you see... It runs through your veins. See you followed me here, knowing the danger... Perhaps out of fear for someone else?" Sai probed before lifting her hood off to look him straight in the face. "A professor? Yes, but your actions say otherwise... Perhaps... We might even be the same. Unsure of what we are, but with actions so strong that it seems obvious to others." Sai said deciding to take this for her advantage. She herself couldn't stand to see others hurt that were innocent despite what she did for a living. Maybe this meeting was fate? "You study these heroes? Then I shall study you." This was going to get interesting, and perhaps Sai would finally find out... Where she stood in all of this.

Sting backed away just a bit as Sai spoke to him. All this Hero talk really sounded quite poetic, but she wasn't convincing him of anything. He had studied the matters of fate more than almost anyone else in Sol, Heroes... were people destined to change the world. Sting had no interest in any of that, he just wanted to watch, and understand how everything worked "You sound pretty sure of yourself..." at least, that's how Sting defined himself. He was the professor that selfishly stood on the sidelines of major matters and observed the world... at least, he wanted to be. Sure, he got himself in a lot of trouble to bail out others... but that was only once... or twice... or, a lot of times. Then Sai said she would study him, which immediately confused Sting "Wah?" no, he wasn't quite sure what he meant "I'm not into that kinda stuff, lady-" he told her looking flustered, assuming she was talking about... something else. Sting didn't get it.

Shadey was kind of really impressed with Syythe`s amazing hot dog eating skills. That---sure was something--
He sort of just nodded a lot more when Syythe accepted his ego-boosting with open arms, but enthusiastically of course-- every movement of Shadey`s was huge a burst of energy. But then the moon was brought back up-- and Shadey leaned a tad closer to the table, listening with absolute interest. But- no real explanation of the moon situation really came... "Huh." He hummed, straightening up. "I guess they do..." But then Syythe finished off his lack of an explanation by reaffirming the fact that he didn`t speak moon.
oH RIGHT,,, nOT EVERYONE DID THAT,,,
"Oh--! Sorry-- you should learn to speak moon, though. Moons make some pretty nifty conversations!" Way to rub it in, Shadey. And then Aerie was brought up- Shadey visibly shrunk some, giving Syythe what was definetely a confused stare under that mask of his-- not that the greenette would be able to tell. After a moment, realization seemed to sink in with him. "Ah-! Right! I told her to go meet up with a friend of mine! Have you heard of Professor Sting--? I`m pretty sure he`s a big name- he`s in town, I think-- I didn`t want her to end up wandering around here on her own, after all... this place is... uh..." He paused, looking over his shoulders-- he didn`t want to offend anyone, after all... but, to be safe, he lowered his voice. "--weird, don`t you think--? Maybe I`m just used to sunnier places... I dunno-" He seemed like he was ready to keep on rambling-- because, seriously, the gloomy exterior of Tenebris was not suiting him at all. People kept giving him funny looks...

Syythe scratched the back of his head when Shadey insisted he talk to moons "Meh... that sounds hard! I'd rather be lazy~" he told Shadey with a yawn. Really, he was more interested in what happened to Aerie. She seemed like a nice girl, even if she was a bit... violent. Syythe shook a bit, remembering the last time the girl had hit him for calling her his sidekick. Shudder. Syythe stretched out a bit before Shadey told him what was up. So... she was going to meet this Professor Sting guy "He sounds like a total tool~" was really all Syythe could muster up on that topic. Syythe and professors or teachers did not meld well. They always used a lot of big words. Bah. But then Shadey started talking about Tenebris... yeah, it was quite the shady town "I -totally- get yah man. I mean... this place is kind of in the shitter. I think I'd rather be in jail!" he told Shadey quite loudly, attracting the ire of a few of the other restaurant patrons. But he continued "Honestly... I'd rather be dead in the streets than-!" and then he remembered something. Last time he saw Diana... she was. Oh. Right. Syythe immediately stood up from his seat "SHIIIIT! I just remembered that I left Diana bleeding out in the streets!" he said out loud in a totally public area, nervously scratching the sides of his head with both hands "Diana is totally gonna come back form the dead and kill me!"

Sai's eyes narrowed the moment she caught whift that he thought that she wanted to do the do with him, but ignored it and decided to make it clear what she wanted to do instead. "What? Is the professor not comfortable of be observed and studied? Or are you thinking of something a little more sexual or deranged?" Sai teased slightly, though her tone didn't suggest it. "No... I shall simply follow you for the day, and see how you interact with your environment. And when the day is done I will tell you what I have found... If you are hero or not." Sai said as she crossed her arms underneath her cloak. "Trust me... I know heroes more then you know." she said her hawk like eyes studying him even now. "And you won't even have to see me."

Sting looked somewhat more flustered when Sai called him out on the mistake of communication "I- uh-" and then she moved on from the subject. Sting didn't know whether to be relieved or upset once she moved on from that, it just made him look like an idiot. Sting, being a very prideful professor, did not like being seen in such a light. Sai continued to talk to him, explaining just what she wanted to do. That sounded... creepy "H-hold on! Don't I have a say in this!?" not like Sting would agree to being watched all day "Besides! I know I'm not a Hero! I'd be out saving the world right now if that were true! Not standing around in this dump of a city... nothing ever happens around here..."

Sai wouldn't admit but she liked seeing this professor who once stood proudly before her being flustered. If she would, she would have smiled, but she didn't want him to feel more embarrassed then he already did. Sai didn't want to game between them to end too quickly. "No." Sai said but saw that he was getting uncomfortable. "Hmmm... Perhaps... Then I suppose me observing will make that theory conclusive. If you are not what I say you are, then of course I will leave you be. If not then... We'll just see when we get there." Sai said as she started to walk pass him. "You think nothing happens here? That my professor... Is left to be decided." she said revealing a laughter within her. "Whether it be big or small something always happens everywhere." she said as she placed the cloak over her head. "Go on your merry way."

Sting looked at Sai with a flustered look in his eyes, as if her words had completely caught him off guard "You..." he felt as if she wasn't taking him seriously. That was also something the professor tried to avoid. He took years building up his image "Wait a moment- no way in hell do I want to be followed-" yet, she insisted, and when her hood was back up, the woman just began to walk away. That was... an interesting encounter "Creep..." he whispered to himself while grimacing, crossing his arms. He would make sure to watch his surroundings carefully, he had a feeling that woman was going to live up to her own claims "Crap... I'm lost now... shit, just what I need. In THIS city of all places..." he muttered to himself. He just wanted to meet up with whom he was staying and eat. Damn he was hungry "Bah... merry way my ass..." he muttered to himself, he still wasn't able to get over what she said to him, even after all of that. he was still thinking of what she said.

Sai walked on until she was sure that Sting wouldn't be able to see her anymore. She flung out her wings, airing them out before taking flight as soon as her wings were revealed. She found him again easily, hiding in the shadows. She noticed how he didn't recognize where he was. She placed a hand over her head, and shook her head. Following her to the point where he got lost? Or was it the fact that he had poor sense of direction. She decided to help him out of this ally way. "If your lost I can help you out." she said from up top, her cloak back on.

"You can do both! I do!" Shadey chirped- but then the moon topic was sort of dropped... which was sad, because Shadey would definetely teach Syythe the ways of moon talking and suchnot. His opinion on Sting wasn`t really appreciated in his current company- Shadey`s shoulders dropped. "I haven`t seen him fix anything..." He mumbled-- because that was definetely what tool meant in this context. Lotherio`s studious, lax personality was a very nice contrast to Shadey`s own-- they had a pretty weird friendship... but, any friendship with Shadey was pretty weird. But, then back came the topic of Tenebris- while Shadey wasn`t too much a fan of the city, the people he`d already met here certainly made up for the fact! Like Syythe and Aerie- Syythe and Aerie were really nifty- did I mention he really liked Syythe and Aerie-

bUT YEAH CONVERSATION AT HAND. Syythe`s loud opinion of Tenebris startled Shadey quite a bit-- he hurriedly looked over his shoulder, checking the reactions of the fellow patrons of the restaurant-- and sunk into his chair some as he noted the sudden increase of attention on them both. "At least you kinda fit in here! I`m such a sore thumb..." He mentioned, albeit quieter- he was certain there was more than a few people in the room observing his odd way of dress. At least- odd and foreign to them. He continued to attentively listen to Syythe- pausing when realization seemed to hit him. He looked at the other expectantly-- jumping in surprise at the sudden burst of volume from his end. Again, his eyes nervously darted at the other patrons of the restaurant-- being out in public with Syythe was weird-- but once Shadey got over his initial embarrassment and actually took into mind what Syythe said, he was equally as panicked. "What?! Oh no!" He joined the other on his feet-- and quickly slapped Syythe across the face. "PULL YOURSELF TOGETHER. SYYTHE." He put both hands on the other`s shoulders, probably looking at him straight in the eye... not that one could tell... "You need to save this Diana lady! Where is she?! I can help!" A moment of silence passed-- because he added, "...She can come back from the dead--? You think that`d be the first thing she`d do...?" He wasn`t sure who this Diana lady was- but, she sounded kind of godly...

Aerie gave a loud sigh as she traipsed through the streets, altogether unimpressed with the current happenings. Shadey had sent her looking for this guy with... well, a less than stellar description- and needless to say, she'd been wandering around for what felt like forever trying to find the guy. Heaving an annoyed sigh, she kicked a rock ahead of herself- and blinked as it went skittering across the ground to rest in front of someone else's feet. "Oh, sorry..." she murmured, while looking at this new person. Were they possibly who she was looking for...? They did seem kinda... weird. Which was all she'd really gotten from Shadey's description-
Shrugging, she approached and then held out her hand to the male, offering a faint smile in an attempt to be friendly. "... Hi-"

Syythe was hyperventilating and swinging his arms around until Shadey slapped him across the face. Then, Syythe was completely silent, looking at Shadey with a blank stare "Shadey... why this...?" oh RIGHT DIANA. Syythe had to hurry, zombie Diana was probably going to kill him if he didn't hurry. Syythe suddenly flicked Shadey on the mask-skeleton nose thing when he said he could help "NON~! I am the Hero Shadey! I am the one that must rescue the princess, only for a tiny midget toad dude to tell me he's in another castle! That is my job and my job alone!" was his explanation for why he had to go alone, incidentally leaving Shadey with the bill. When Shadey asked if Diana killing him would be the first thing she'd do after coming back from the dead, he nodded aggressively "Yeah yeah yeah! And she's speak without pronouncing the H's! It'd make for a horrible sight! No! I ride!" Syythe then ran out of the restaurant. And I repeat, leaving Shadey with the bill.

Sting let out a sigh "Bah... I really am lost-" he muttered to himself, he was about to punch a wall, and then he heard a familiar voice. One that he heard no less than a few minutes ago "...!" he the man looked up immediately, seeing Sai a top a roof, looking down on him. Sting at first looked somewhat surprised, how'd she get up there so fast? But then the surprise was numbed down by Sting's stubbornness "Hah! Like I'd accept your help! I'm a professor, woman! I formulate complex magical spells! I can make my way across a city!" he bluntly yelled over to her, even if he was lost, no way was he going to show anymore weakness to this woman. Sting then smirked, fixing his shades "I'm Professor Sting... the greatest erudite of Phantasma University...! I got my PHd at age sixteen...! In other words I know my shit..." he told her, trying to sound impressive. And then, as if out of nowhere, Sting heard a light voice. A 'Hi-' that he almost would have missed if not for a pause between words. Sting rose an eyebrow, slowly turned his head to Aerie. Her presence almost kind of confused the man, and his face showed it "Uh... hi?" was his reply to her greeting "May... I help you ma'am...?" he asked, fixing his sunglasses again.

Sai sat on the roof, crossing her legs as she stared down at Sting. She let him speak as he gave her his full name and who he was. Now she did indeed recognized him. "Oh? You are?" Sai asked feeling a smile coming on. 'He feels so proud... It's adorable.' she thought as she nodded. "Yes of course. You know your 'shit'." Sai said with a nod as she stayed quiet when the man turned to the girl that spoke to him. She got up and went across another roof top to get a better view of the interaction. Observation begins now. She found it nice to finally observe someone without the intention of killing them.
