Hecate looked up to the microphone and suppressed a smile. Oh Clarence. He hadn't changed a bit. He'd sounded the same the first time they had gone through the star gate with Doctor Jackson. She spoke with authority as she addressed the man behind the microphone.
We're all ready. Are our coordinates set, Mr. Miles?

Clarence's voice comes over the microphone into the Gate room again... AHH!... Uhh... Yes Colonel they are!... Stand Back Everyone You don't Want the Ripple from the Event Horizon Opening to touch you... Chevron One Engaged... Chevron Two Engaged... Chevron Three Engaged... The Gate's inner ring spun aligning the ancient Symbols to the coordinates as the the Gate's locks engaged... Chevron Four Engaged... Chevron Five Engaged... Chevron Six Engaged... Chevron Seven... Locked... Uhh Ahh!... Suddenly a Blue light erupted out of the Gate like a plume of silvery blue water then it shrank back into the Gate making a flat pool of moving energy.

"Let's get on with it then." she said, and saw as the gate started to move. She held her rifle in her hands tightly, knowing full well what could happen. This would be a perfect time to back down...but she wasn't. No way in hell she was gonna let Nova stay with those Jaffa idiots. She knew in her heart she was the only one who could help her at this point. She closed her eyes, took a deep breath, and mentally prepared herself.

Yamamoto Akemi
The Private
Yamamoto stayed in the same place as Hecate and Clarence talked to each other. Oh man the gate was going to open and he was so excited! He took a few steps back as he was told and watched as the gate was opening. The first engage, Yamamoto stood ready. The second engage, he looked with anticipation. The third gauge, he looked at the others who were focused. The fourth gauge, he looked down at his fists and clenched them. The fifth gauge, he looked back at the Star Gate. The sixth gauge, his mind was jumping with excitement. And then the seventh one came, which then had the blue like wave shoot out. This made the man jump back a bit before staring at the energy that was encompassed inside the ring. "Woooooooooah! So cool!" Yamamoto's eyes were bug as he simply stared at it. No puns. This was no time for puns. Just amazement,

Colonel Hecate Wingate Dubois
Leader of SG1
Colonel Dubois watched as Clarence locked in their destination. The process was beautiful to behold. Despite Hecate having seen it done before it was still a sight to behold. Her thoughts were still focused on the mission though. If the Goa' uld responsible for the attack wasn't planning an attack, they could easily find and convince Daniel to come with them. She hoped he had been successful in his plans on educating the local Jaffa. They had proven themselves to be a kind and intelligent people when properly taught. She and the rest of Star Gate should still be on good terms with them. She hoped she would be able to see skara before they left.
Hecate checked her gun one last time before turning to face the others and addressing them seriously.
After we all go through the Star Gate, Major Kawolski and I will lead the way to the Jaffa settlement. While we are there we will assess the Jaffa and locate Doctor Jackson. While we're on Abydos, be prepared for anything to happen and make the best use possible of your time. The gate can't be open for more than 37 minutes. That is the only time we have to complete our mission. I'll see you all on the other side, men.
Then she saluted her men and walked through the gate.

Yamamoto kept on staring at the portal when Hecate spoke up. He quickly turned his direction towards her. 'Ok so the Colonel is leading us with...Major! Oh no, not him!' Yamamoto nodded when she told them to be careful about the time since they only had 37 minutes. It was very short and they needed to be quick about it. He checked his fists and his side arm. Ok everything is in line. Alrighty. Now he'll be the first one to go into the portal-wait what? Oh, it looked like Hecate already went in. Darn. Yamamoto quickly grinned though as he jumped into the air. "Whoo! Let's go guys! Whoever is last is a rotten egg! *Cough*Major*Cough*" Yamamoto then took no time as he quickly ran into the portal.

George Hammond
General and SGC Commander
And
Clarence Miles
SGC Gate Operator
As everyone went through the Gate Hammond entered the Control room with Clarence... So how did things go... everything well I hope.
Clarence put his hand over the mic... Sir how did you explain the Gate's 37min rule?
Hammond looked confused... Just like you told me... The Gate can only be open for 37minutes at a time so we have to get in and out quickly.
Clarence closed his eyes and held the bridge of his nose... Sir you do realize they can turn the other Gate on from the other side... Right?
Hammond thought carefully for a long long moment...Hmmmmm?... I guess they could couldn't they?
Clarence Occasionally questioned why Hammond was put in charge of the SGC sometimes... Clarence handed The General a Walkie Talkie... Sir don't you think you should tell them that?
Hammond Grabbed the Walkie Talkie... RIGHT!... General Hammond to SG-1 Hammond to SG-1!

Re: STAR GATE SG-1, War of The Serpent
As you enter the Star Gate It feels like very thick water that doesn't leave residue behind... When you put your head through it a loud screeching and humming is shot into your hearing and a feeling of waitlessness is taken over by a sense of falling... You come out on the other side cold, the moisture on your face and clothes has turned to Ice in a brief moment as you went through... You look around and you're standing inside a large Egyptian Pyramid with sand along the floor as you look outside the entrance there are Large sand dunes but over in the distance you see a large settlement of people in stone houses and large tents that are black on the inside and white on the outside.

Colonel Hecate Wingate Dubois
Leader of SG1
Colonel Hecate composed herself after stepping through the gate. A moment later, General Hammond's voice came through on the walkie talkie. Hecate signaled those who had already made it through the gate to remain stationed where they were.
Then the Colonel walked off to a more isolated area close to the entrance of the pyramid. When her men couldn't see, she smiled at the site of the settlement. She had somehow managed to develop fond memories of this world. She pulled out the walkie take and spoke into it.
SG-1 to Hammond. SG-1 to Hammond. Let me guess there's something we need to know, General.
Hecate said this with a tone of seriousness, but with an undertone of humor present. She had long since become used to General Hammond and his forgetful moments.

Yamamoto Akemi
The Private
As soon as Yamamoto entered the Star Gate his breath was taken away from everything that was in front of him. He didn't know how to feel or how to react. Everything was going so fast for him that the only thing he could mouth was 'Holy Shit.' As soon as he was on the other side, Yamamoto remained standing where he was, captivated of what he saw. Just that experience, that was something to always remember. He then looked at the exit as he saw the sands and the settlements. Was that where they were suppose to go? He heard Hecate to tell them to stay where they were. Yamamoto looked at his surroundings. They were inside a pyramid. "Woooooooooooooow." He went down to touch the sand. Yup, felt like sand from a desert all right. He couldn't help himself as he walked over to one of the walls and started to touch it. His eyes and face were full of joy as he kept touching everything that was around him.

Colonel? YAY!... OK uhh... Yes... Uhh... Don't worry about coming back in 37minutes... just reopen the Gate on your side... but be careful we're gonna close the Gate when you guys get through, that means you will be out of radio contact... We'll open the Gate in an hour... to get an update... right good thinking Clarence... then you guys NEED to open the gate from your side to get back, because the Gate only sends things one way at a time... WHAT?!... Or you'll disintegrate... So no matter what don't come through a Gate Opened from this end or you'll disintegrate... OK so, Radio in an hour turn on the Gate from your side, you may need Dr. Jackson to do that... See ya. From Hammond's speech anyone who could hear he was being lead along somewhat by someone on the other side.

Re: STAR GATE SG-1, War of The Serpent
Colonel Hecate Wingate Dubois
Leader of SG1
The colonel listened to General Hammond with conflicting feelings of amusement and frustration. This wasn't unexpected of the General but now was not the time for something like this. They needed to locate Doctor Jackson and leave the planet as quickly as possible. She sighed and lit a cigarette with her free hand.
When he finished, she answered simply and with authority,
Understood, General. If you remember anything else, call me over the walkie talkie and I'll answer as quickly as possible.
Then she put the walkie talkie away and walked back to her troops, giving Private Akemi a glare worse than death as she passed. She was not in the right mindset to deal with this. She faced her men and addressed them.
The general has just sent updated information on the gate. The gate can only be kept going for 37 minutes, but the gate located on SGC's side will be closed and all radio contact will be cut off. Mr. Miles will open the gate again in an hour, to receive an update. When that happens, we need to be ready and able to open the Star Gate at that point. The gate only sends one way at a time. We will not be able to go through the gate if it is opened on the other end. We'll all disintegrate if we do. We are to radio in an hour and turn on the gate with Dr. Jackson. It's preferable he is the one to set our coordinates in place. I quite agree with that idea, Captain Votaw. And for your sake Private Akemi, do not speak unless spoken to by Dr. Jackson or myself or to keep any hostiles away from the star gate.
Colonel Dubois gave Private Akemi a look that would wilt solid steel. Before turning to the other two.
Now we are to make our way to the settlement. Is everyone ready?

The Private
Yamamoto kept on looking through the pyramid when he heard Hecate return. The death glare that she gave him sent shivers down his spine. That glare was seriously scary and it made the man straighten up. He listened in on what she had to say. What he got out of it was that instead of 37 mins to locate the doctor, they now had an hour. This made Yamamoto psyched up. An hour in another planet, this was awesome! Then Sarah said about someone to stay behind and guard the gate. This made his heart drop. Oh no. A new planet and he has to stay behind!? Yamamoto was ready to plead his case to go when the Major decided to stay behind. Yamamoto looked at the man with a tiny bit of respect. Sure the man has been a bother to him so far, but this time he actually smiled at him. He looked back to Hecate as she told him to basically not to talk unless he was spoken to. Her new glare was threatening as well as he felt his spine shivered again. Yamamoto nodded his head in agreement very nervously and was ready to go with them to the place where the natives live. This was going to be great!

Sarah sighed as the Major of all people was gonna stay behind. Damn it, he would actually be useful, unlike the private. She had to respect that decision though.
"Alright fine, but be careful. We don't know exactly what we're up against." she said, giving him a look. "We should get moving soon, the less time we're here, the less threats we encounter." she looked toward the exit of the pyramid.

Colonel Hecate Wingate Dubois
Leader of SG1
Hecate looked over to Major Kawalski and nodded,
Understood, Major. I trust you understand the importance of making sure nothing unwanted comes in or out of the Star Gate. Do your utmost to ensure you are successful.
Hecate gave him a look indicative of her position as his leader. The man could do his job well, but there was the problem of his personality. He had proven himself to be an egotistical thorn in her side when even remotely successful on a mission, but he was her man now so she would do her best to ensure he didn't die.
She addressed the rest of the group after Captain Votaw finished speaking.
The captain is right. We head out now.
Colonel Hecate led the way to the settlement with her soldiers following behind her. A look of the utmost seriousness on her face. Very soon they were at the settlement itself.

Skaa'ra lead them over to the encampment and jumped and waved over to the other villagers... الجميع انها العقيد دوبوا والمحاربات العظمى!!! (Everyone it's Colonel Dubois and The Great Warriors) He ran ahead yelling into the crowd... يبحثون عن دانيال، حيث هو دانيال(They search for Daniel, where is Daniel?!) In the excitement of seeing the SGC team a small crowd encompassed the team leading them into the camp... Some of the leaders greeting Hecate... A number of the young men in their hunter gear trying to talk to Sarah it was hard to tell if they were flirting or just asking her about fighting... Two of the girls took Yamamoto by the arms and lead him on giggling to each other and making obvious jokes and flirtations at his expense.

Yamamoto followed Hecate and Sarah into the settlement where the villagers were living when a young man came up to them. At first he didn't know how to respond but let it be when the man started to talk to the Colonel. He relaxed himself when the two started to speak in another language. This left Yamamoto clueless as to what was going on as he just stared at the two wondering what they were saying. He waved back at Skaa'ra when the man waved at him. When the man wanted him to be followed, Yamamoto simply did. The encampment was amazing to say the least. Everything looked so different than what he was used to. So many people at once and it all seemed like they were happy after what Skaa'ra said to them. Yamamoto was still confused however of what he was saying when a small crowd suddenly circled them. This made the private jump back a bit in surprise when he suddenly felt his arms being grabbed. "H-Huh?" He looked to see who was pulling them as he saw to females dragging him a bit. This made the man blush a tiny bit as he was oblivious to the jokes and the flirtations. He just simply smiled at them and said, "Um H-Hello there. Nice to meet you."

For Sarah it was easy to tell. A quick peek into their mind and it pictured what they wanted. One guy was legitimately interested in her gun, which she showed some part of, while the other guy, not so much. She just shook her head at him.
"Where is this guy? I'm getting odd looks and people here are a little...uh...forward." she said. It was getting to the point of being really really uncomfortable. She looked at Yamamoto and sighed. "Colonel...I think the Private is going to be sacrificed..." she said, facepalming.
