Neil sat down with a nod, setting the bread aside in a bowl for the raven who happily ate. Neil was a fair cook, but he was becoming well aware of the difference in quality between his and Mariah's food. He ate for several minutes, finishing his food relatively quickly. As wonderful as the cooks food was, Neil really didn't have a very big appetite. It was a shame at moments like this. He turned to Prince as he finished his tea.
If your mother wishes to see us, I'm ready to go. It would be rude to keep her waiting.
Neils raven flew on his shoulder as she finished her bread. Neil asked a maid to give his compliments to Mariah before looking at Prince with a calm smile, ready to go.

Nera began escorting, Seana, Dymas, Sylvia, Luna and Aaron further into the garden it seemed then after about two minutes of walking she knocked on another part of the Palace walls twice with her fist... it made an echo like sound then opened into the castle... This entrance is hard to see from the outside, but I always remember where it is... She continued to lead them down several corridors, around the throne room and up a flight of stairs... as she approached a door she held it open for them all, it led into a meeting room where now only one people sat, The Queen... As Nera opened the door two veteran knights with high rank on their uniforms left muttering to one another, it sounded much like an argument but much softer in volume and tone. after they left Nera spoke in a dignified and polite voice as she held the door open... It was very nice meeting you all. I hope I can see some of you again sometime.

Surprisingly enough--Kyte was already done with his first dish by the time that Prince said it was time to go. In fact, he was up and getting seconds as they were called to leave--he'd been in the middle of picking up a pancake--which he wolfed down quickly before jogging back over to where Prince and the others were, having placed his dish down on the table.
"We're meeting with the Queen, then? Guess I oughta stay quiet--I've never been so good with dealing with royalty." That, and apparently if the Queen found out he was a mercenary, he could be executed. Which would suck. A lot.

Sylvia followed Nera through the wall and into the palace again. Her hair seemed to flow with the wind as they walked, of course it was the spirits playing tricks to make her seem more beautiful. Once they were at the place, she stopped. She kind of went into the back of the group.
"I am...how you say...nervous? I am unsure how to act infront of a person who commands this much authority..." she said. She was going to let the others go in first.

Prince gave his plate back to a servant then checked his sword then led the others upstairs through a hallway and up a flight of spiral stairs into another entrance to the meeting room, instead from the back of the room this one entered from the left... Prince propped the door open for the others letting them come in, then sat down across from his mother at the end of the long table... he awaited for all of his companions to sit before speaking, this meeting was as much about them as it was about him... Apparently... His mother could be quite vague when she decided to.

Canas walked in after Prince, bowing to those who were obviously talking about him. He smiled brightly, not at all heeding their words. He sat in a sat and waited for what was going to be walked out. He was pretty excited, and nervous...and a whole bunch of other things. Mostly excited though. This would certainly be worth writing home about.

The Queen smiled at them all as they entered, taking special notice to Quinn, Canas, Seana and Neil... She had her own opinions of Valdorians, Seana unbeknownst to her had stumbled into a political scenario she herself had been investigating of late that she wished to discuss with the young woman, however now was not the time... Canas' Curse was a concern as most curses were incurable unless fulfilled which his had none, She had tried to purge the gypsy of it however, she was fairly sure he wouldn't ever be rid of the thing... Quinn was a worry for another reason, she worried for he and her children's safety since The Black Circle had targeted them all for some reason, she still was clueless as to why, which made her very angry on the inside, there was no reason he should be involved seemingly at all... Neil, was special in a sense, she had almost never heard of a Wicked being so friendly outside of The Oaken Hall woods, there was that matter with people speculating his involvement with Dahvin Marklist, which was not a pleasant thing covering up. Dahvin gave them important information on the Criminal Heights within the parts of Scion and Valdoria they didn't have access too and was on the Criminal list himself for improper reasons, however they still had to hide their own involvement to him as well as Neil's now...
She stopped looking at the group and began addressing Prince with her mind... she spoke only to him, however everyone in the room could hear her voice through her telepathy.
"Well it looks like you're all rested and well now... High Guard! We have a serious situation at hand"

Prince looked very sternly at his mother but also a little confused... What is it?

"Something has made a home in Cahldor Mountain North East of the City... A monster that has been terrorizing the surrounding villagers for the last eight days, the Mayor of a small town called '''Cyprus Well''' is the one who sent us the letter, it got to us late last night and the town is half a days ride on the East Road."

Prince listened intently... I'll gather the Vance and a Platoon and send them out to---

The Queen interrupted him... "No... That was Vance's Idea as well however, with recent events as they are, we do not have the man power to protect the Castle effectively... That's why I've called you all here, I know this isn't exactly the best thing to ask a newly formed group of Adventurers to tackle but at this point, but this was the reason Fate had brought you all together and... honestly, you're the only hope this town has."

Prince frowned at first then looked around at the group pensively for nearly a whole minute...

So... what is your Verdict High Guard... I can't send you alone... do you think you all are ready...?

Prince looked back at the Queen with a strong prepared gaze... I certainly don't speak for us all yet, I haven't worked long enough with all of you here to be allowed that freedom... But Personally, Mother... I have Absolutely No Reservations in my Confidence in this groups abilities, And More importantly I trust every person in this room with zero exceptions...

Well... Let me give you all the details...

MISSION STATEMENT

Location: Cahldor Mountain
Date: 51st Day, Rainy Season, Year 3837 (March 23rd)
Quest: A Royal Manticore has been terrorizing local villagers and their livestock for the past week near an Semi-Active Volcano (250 year eruption cycle, last eruption 100 years ago)... It is a denizen of a non-local area and has imposed on the other monsters that live in the Mountain that have been disturbed but run the risk of Migrating nearer the towns because of the Manticore's Presence
Objective: Find and Defeat the Royal Manticore trying. Drive it away from the Mountain by any means and Save Cyprus Well
NPC's: Prince, Treen, & Mayor Almat
Resources: Plenty of Food and Water, Horses, Combat Equipment for each specific character, First Payment (Everyone Gets 40 Silver Pieces)
Possible Threats: Rock Slides, Small Quakes, Clouds of Noxious Gas, Small Lava Streams, Bandits, Local Monsters Varying in Size, Royal Manticore

Starting Point:
The Group had made their way from the castle to the farming town of Cyprus Well... After a matter of riding horses from 9 in the morning until 6 in the Evening, Prince and the others met with the Mayor's wife who said he would meet them some time tomorrow once he got back from hunting to talk with them about their mission. The town is so small it has no Inn that can encompass even half of the Party so they decided to camp just outside of town in a clearing in the woods... Everyone has a sleeping canvas and blankets in one of three tents, two for the men and one for the women, considering numbers... ((( Tent A: Aaron, Kyte, Quinn, Curwen ... Tent B: Prince, Canas, Dymas, Neil ... Tent C: Sylvia, Seanna, Luna, Lieselotte, Treen ))) There are no trees around but there are some very tall bushes nearby. Everyone has their own horse that the Queen gave them as a gift for their first mission, and each is tied to a post in the ground just outside of the camp. Prince is tending a small fire he made in the center of camp cooking some Rabbit Meat and Vegetable Stew... It's nearly 8:30pm and everyone is in camp at the moment however it is nearly the drinking time for most small towns with bars and The Mayors wife said that the towns Inn although not large was very hospitable, and there really is no age restriction for Drinking or Hanging out in Inns in Aryss.

"That should do it..." Kyte had just finished setting up his sleeping area inside the tent that he was assigned to, and as he stood up outside of the tent and stretched his arms upwards, he couldn't help but glance over at the town, hearing the sounds of the active tavern all the way from there. "Hm..." He hadn't been in a bar since the last time he'd gone with his old mercenary friends--who he was then reminded again were all dead now. Wonderful. He sighed, dropping his arms, then glancing around. He wasn't too keen on Prince...and he barely knew any of the others...maybe he should just head over there on his own, he figured. So, with that, he began walking off in the direction of the tavern, not really giving any of the others much warning--he figured that if anyone wanted to follow, they could just come along.

"Crap-- watch out!!"
A voice near Kyte called out a warning a mere instant before a seemingly spooked horse dashed by, depositing a very disgruntled Dymas on the ground at the mercenary's feet. The mage lifted his head and glared after the horse, looking quite disheveled on the ground, before he slowly looked to Kyte. "Sorry about that... I'm not exactly skilled in horse riding and I was trying to get in some practice, but... the creatures don't seem to care for me- they probably smell charcoal and ash..." Sighing, the male picked himself up and brushed off his clothes, frowning at the amount of dirt on him after his little tumble before looking to Kyte. "Ah... Kyte right...? You're part of our little group..."

Canas' Theme- A Great Mind

Canas decided to go into the town, and look around. It was an interesting little town wasn't it? Had he been here before? He wasn't too sure, actually. As he went, he passed Dymas and Kyte.
"Pardon sirs." he said, and then headed off, walking down into the town square. He looked around, and then decided to head to the inn, going inside and sitting down. He ordered a drink, and took out a book he was reading. He started to read it, even when his drink came, he drank it down, and ordered another. This was a secret that most people didn't know. Canas couldn't get drunk, because of the curse. Well, he never really tried to get drunk after the curse happened, but he wasn't too sure. He drank his second down, and kept reading, enjoying a quiet evening.

Kyte stumbled back a step or two upon the sudden appearance of the horse, just narrowly avoiding getting run over by it--then looked at Dymas in surprise.
"Wow--they really don't seem to like you--" Kyte said as Dymas mentioned the horses not caring for him--and when Dymas asked his name, Kyte nodded and grinned, giving Dymas a hardy handshake. "Yup, that's me! And you are?"

Dymas gave a soft, wry sort of smile as Kyte mentioned that horses didn't seem to like him, quickly nodding- though when Canas walked by, he blinked before waving a bit at him and then turning back to Kyte. He nodded slightly as the other told him he was in fact who he thought he was, reaching up to adjust his hair and eye patch a moment- though the handshake was unexpected and left him blinking in shock, before quietly stuffing his hands in his pockets. He wasn't used to people touching him... "Ah- Dymas Liles. It's nice to meet you, Kyte," he replied, giving the other a small smile before glancing off towards where his horse had ran to. "... Though I apologize for the manner in which it happened-"

Sylvia took her horse, the beautiful creature it was, to a small part of the woods to feed. She never really felt comfortable around human encampments. She felt bad, knowing these were the people she was to work with, and yet, talking to them was so strange for her. She sat on a rock, closing her eyes, trying to reflect on how to fix this exactly. She could try and talk to someone...but what would she say? Would they even try and carry the conversation? How would she respond if they asked her a question? The horse came over, nudging her head with it's nose. She smiled and pet the creature.
"I...will have to try harder...yes?" she asked. She looked at the camp in the distance, and then back at the horse.

Luna arrived at the camp with the others as she stayed silent the entire time. She wondered if more people were going to get hurt as she shivered a bit. She doesn't want to see any dead bodies and the thought of it almost made her cry. She looked in her bag at the wand and book again as maybe she should read it some more. She placed her bag in her sleeping area in the tent as she walked a bit in the woods as she found a stump to sit on as she pulled out her book and used her other hand to create a small light orb as she started to read as she didn't notice that Sylvia was there as well.

Aaron clapped to himself as he found an area in the tent that he can rest in as he got out to look at the sky. Nighttime. How he hated the night since it was that time 'that' happened. He sighed and shook his head. This was no time to think like that. They have a mission to go to. He recalled what the Queen said to them as the telepathy freaked him out at first before he stayed silent. The miss was beautiful as he blushed a bit. No perverted thoughts ran through his head as he would never think of that for moms. He loved moms since he had a few hazy memories of his but knew that they are always loving and caring and are always respected. He sighed as he wonder on what to do. He should go to the Inn since he likes bustling areas and that there's more women there as well as, but nonetheless, here they were at camp as he wondered what to do. He scanned the area to see that Seanna was here in the camp site. Maybe he should go try talking to her? He collected himself as he walked over to her. "Well well well. If it isn't the extravagant beauty in front of me. What is a women such as yourself doing out by yourself in this kind of night. Someone as beautiful as yourself should hang out with someone that can show them a good time." He gave her a wink. "So what do you say?"

At the campsite, Neil noticed as the others started heading towards town. He signaled to his raven with his hand, petting the bird as she flew on his shoulder. Neil could probably find some herbs while he was in town. He didn't necessarily need them, but they would be nice to have. Before he left the camp , he noticed Prince tending to a fire. He called over to the prince, pointing in the direction of the inn where the others had gone. "I was about to go in town. Would you like to join me, Prince?"

Prince looked up at Neil and smiled at the Young Wicked... He looked over to the path near the village and thought about it for a good while... He bit his lip then looked back up at Neil trying to keep a straight face and seem level headed... I'm not sure, Neil... Normally I try and stay as formal as I can in front of Civilians, I need to... Um... Keep up my family's repertoire!... I can't be seen acting too casually while on an important job... He was able to get his words out before faltering too much, however the real reason He didn't want to go into town was that he had never had friends or even acquaintances outside of the Guard Barracks and he had a very hard time being very social... sure he could give an inspiring speech, or command his troops, or speak formally to a dignitary or nobleman but... Being casual and social was really out of his comfort zone. The only people he was non-formal with well were his family and Commander Vance who had taught him Swordsmanship since before he could remember... Go on ahead, I think some of the others already left, perhaps you can catch them?... Jeez he was having a hard time, even talking to Neil without trying to sound official and noble was close to outside his comfort zone.

"No sweat, Dymas," Kyte smiled at the eyepatched mage, adjusting his cape a bit before motioning out towards the town with his hand. "So--how about it? You want to go hit the town with me? I'm not so used to being alone, so...I'd really appreciate it if maybe you'd be my friend--? Oh, man, that sounded silly..." He gave an awkward laugh, scratching the back of his neck and looking away, before glancing back at Dymas. "So...?"

At the edge of the encampment near the post where the horses were tied, just above Sylvia's head something rustled and a few leaves fell as Treen suddenly appeared to Sylvia's left, Hanging upside down from a tree branch her legs were wrapped around... Good evening, OH! Well hello there, Sylvia... It's nice to see everyone else has finally arrived... Treen had been there since this morning, The Queen had sent her to scout and wait for the rest of the group... It was kind of her Shtick, seeing as she was the only one fast enough to get here without a horse... She hung there swaying back and forth petting the horse on it's mane so as not to spook it... She lowered her voice to Sylvia seeing her caution at the camp... It's odd isn't it?... I had to adjust at first too, I'm still not used to sleeping in beds... I had to weave a hammock and sleep in the stables for the longest time before They could actually get me to sleep inside... She said the word beds as if she was talking about some unnatural thing you weren't supposed to believe existed.

After several of the girls had left the tent, Seana had decided it was worth looking around the area. She presumed this mission would take them a few days at least. The camp was a good deal nicer than one would expect. She looked around the campsite, noticing Prince talking to the tall man from earlier as well as several of the girls in the forest. She turned as she heard Aarons voice, eying th boy with annoyance. She wasn't quite sure at the moment, whether she should feel pity or insulted that he believed he stood a chance at swaying her to go anywhere with him. Her annoyance became more and more prominent the longer he spoke. "The only danger I see this night is you soiling the use of the word beautiful. As for what I say, I'm afraid after how you paraded yourself earlier, time with you is not something I would qualify as a good time." Seana nodded curtly and walked towards the forrest, looking up at Treen and Slyvia as she spotted them. Annoyance not at them but at Aaron still very present on her face. She kept her voice neutral as she addressed Treen, despite being confused by the girls tone concerning the word bed. "Well, you make quite an entrance."

Cyprus' Well had a single tavern, named The Well's Spring, on account of the building was sitting on top of a very large Well of Water, The Cyprus Well. The town and the well were apparently named after the towns founder and first mayor, Mandal Cyprus, who's family apparently had passed the inn and tavern down since the town was founded. It was a small size even for a farming town, only 200 people or so, about 30-35 houses. However as the only place to get a bit of Ale, there were a good 15-20 men inside the tavern besides The members of the Party who were there. The Owner of the place was a burly man with strong arms and a look to him like a man who did much heavy lifting every day, he had brown hair and a beard and wore simple clothes.......

The Innkeeper made Canas his drinks and walked to the door letting Dymas and Kyte in, he told him that everything they ordered was on the house, considering the service he and the others would be doing for the town, and as they walked in a few men smiled and raised their glasses to them as they did with Canas upon his entrance. It be very nice to meet you boys... Now what can I get you, Ale? Brandy? Mead? I've got some hot lamb on the fire as we speak if you're hungry.

Neil smiled at Prince as seemed to contemplate his offer. He had a good sense of how uncomfortable Prince seemed to be talking like this in comparison to how he had been earlier. Neil nodded. His smile taking on a more relaxing look.
] I can understand why you would feel that way, but I don't think being too casual is something you need to worry about. I don't believe the people would look down on your family if yoy seen enjoying yourself among them. I'll be heading to town before its too late. I'll be at the inn if you change your mind.
He nodded at Prince before making his way to town, noticing Aaron as he left. As he approached the inns doors his raven flew off of shoulder. She had never been one for crowds. They always ruffled her feathers, so to speak. Neil looked around, noticing Kyte and Dymas as the innkeeper spoke to them. Then Neil noticed Canas by himself. He walked over to him with a calm smile.

Aaron simply did a laugh at Seana's response. "Oh on the contraire madame, I do not believe that I tarnish the world beautiful when I see one such as yourself and I believe that I am not bad person to be around with." He high fived in his mind as he was able to say some words that he had never said before. He had to thank those magazines later on for those words as he noticed that she was walking away somewhere. Where was she going to? He watched where she was walking to as he followed along since there was nothing else to do at the camp as he saw her with Sylvia and Treen. "Well, well, well, who do we have here? Three stunning women at a night like this? What a sight to behold." Aaron nodded to himself as it seemed he didn't know the aura that was around Seana at the given moment nor would he know how dumb of a moment he just did.

"Hello...Treen was it?" she asked, kind of trying to remember the faces and names of the people. It was a lot harder then she thought it would be. "You were here before us? My apologies...I didn't want to intrude on your...uh...progress?" talking...hard...can't...she let out a sigh. But then something she said like...clicked. Sleeping inside being uncomfortable. "Ah...y-yes...the cool night air is...it's refreshing and sweet...and the grass is so soft...I'm afraid sleeping in something unnatural like a bed is...well...unnatural for someone like me..I guess..." she twiddled her thumbs a bit, and then heard Aaron. "Uh...hello....uh..." she had no idea what his name was...at all. "Lyon?" she kind of guessed. She didn't really listen to anything else he said. He was weird, and gave off a bad vibe.
