In the year 2022, a great disaster known as The Cataclysm destroyed the very fabric of society. Countries fell apart, religions died, family members turned against each other. Half the earth's population was wiped out in a single day. What was left of our planet was a lawless earth ruled by ruthless warlords and cunning criminals. An era of chaos began. In response to this chaos, billionaire industrialist Charles Paladin created PALADIN, a paramilitary organization tasked with guarding the world's premier super prison: No Man's Land. Those within PALADIN are given the best military training money can provide, modern technology, and great living accommodations. However, the life of a Paladin officer is dangerous. You are a target to the millions of dangerous criminals held within the prison. Furthermore, Paladin officers make a vow to never leaves the wall of the city. Only a select few, highly trained individuals are allowed to leave the prison walls. They are Paladin's Special Operations Unit, lead by Colonel Shirley. These officers are given an even higher form of training, Paladin technology that is seemingly unheard of to the public, and they are tasked with Paladin's most dangerous missions. Capturing escaped criminals, assassinating threats within the city, and acting as the vanguard of any defenses in the case the walls are attacked.

The year is 2037. The Special Forces Unit is in its stride. Countless missions have been successfully accomplished and they are seen as the top law enforcement organization in the country. However, a new threat soon emerges to face the Special Forces Unit, one that may even yield dark connections with the organization they serves: Paladin Industries.
