No Man's Land: Factions (Layout included)
Factions
It is the Golden Age of Crime, and the criminal underworld of the Wild West, known for its strange yet ruthless nature, is filled with all manner of criminal empires. From the enigmatic Outsiders to the unpredictable Church of Crime, the Wild West is known for producing criminal empires of a greater caliber than No Man's Land, with much greater competition and activity on the part of each faction. Unlike No Man's Land, which at best could harbor about five major organizations, the Wild West is home to hundreds upon hundreds of crime syndicates and Super Criminal alliances. This isn't No Man's Land anymore, and the competition's about to heat up like never before.
This thread is meant to not only list the various factions that call the Wild West its home, but also list its members and the rules that all RPers must follow as far as the factions go.
Rules
1. Anyone can start a faction, it is highly recommended you not only make factions but look for other factions to join.
2. At least two characters are needed to make a faction. The maximum for the amount of characters in a faction is ten. No more than ten characters are allowed at once per faction.
3. As far as NPC footmen go, the maximum amount of footmen a faction has is specified by the amount of officers it has times a hundred. If you have three characters in a faction than you can have up to three hundred footmen. Ten means a thousand. This is only as far as the maximum is concerned, you are allowed to specify how many footmen you have in the faction profile and may have zero footmen.
4. You are allowed to make independent characters free from any factions. However, it is HIGHLY, HIGHLY, HIGHLY recommended you DO NOT do that. It may sound appeasing at first to have a lone character, with no loyalties but his own, doing free contract work for the other factions What you really get in the RP is a character with no one to RP with, nothing to do, and whom generally won't be trusted by any of the other factions. Factions want loyal characters and officers, and will likely choose to have their own specialists within their faction rather than have someone disloyal to them do a job.
5. It is up to the owner of the faction to determine what the exact layout of the faction is. It may be a large organization in the same veil as Vulture Team, with a leader with a few officers under their wing. It could be a single powerful Super Criminal with several minions (The original Inquisitor Faction), or an alliance between a couple of Super Criminals with their own minions. It could be a collection of Super Criminals, all on equal terms, an alliance for example. Try and be creative so we have a variety of organizations in the RP.
6. You may have no more than one character per RPer in a faction unless special permission is asked.

Re: No Man's Land: Factions (Layout included)
-The Wolfpac-
Base of Operations: Hell's Angel Bar
Faction Type: Mercenary Unit
Description:
The Wolfpac is an infamous mercenary unit known for making more enemies than friends. It works outside of the law, leading to it being deemed an enemy of Paladin Industries and the Vigilantes. The Wolfpac always work together as a team, they are shrouded in mystery, with little to no information about any of them. They have no allegiances, but they will only take jobs from those whom they believe to be just. They are immensely powerful and feared in the criminal underworld, there have been instances where they appear out of nowhere and effortlessly destroy their enemies, then simply disappeared soon after they get their payment.
It is made up of three members: Inna Dragovich, Axel, and Braque Arlos. They gathered together under simple circumstances originally. The three of them had all individually been hired by a warlord as enforcers. There was a rebellion that needed squashing and they seemed right for the job. Originally none of them got along, they were all loners and it seemed as if none of them had anything in common. This turned out to be false however, they did have one trait in common: their belief in upholding their own idea of justice. They all judged this warlord as unjust, he treated his people poorly, he was filled with greed and nepotism. So they all turned on him at once, ironically, and killed not only the warlord, but wiped out every guard in his palace with ease. Despite never working together prior, each of them showed great chemistry as a team. They would leave that warlord's a palace together and without a word. The rebel they were originally brought together to vanquish would arrive and soon take over that warlord's territory. What happened after was not their concern, these three had one goal: to eliminate injustice wherever it was found. If the rebels created another corrupt rule, they would return and kill them to. And that's exactly what these three did throughout the Wild West, they traveled from region to region, taking jobs from those who wish to eliminate injustice in the world.

-N.O.W.H.E.R.E-
Base of Operations:
Nowhere
Faction Type:
Crime Syndicate
Description:
No Super Criminal organization is more shrouded in mystery than N.O.W.H.E.R.E.. It's leaders, are unknown. It's motives, unknown. It's members, unknown. NOWHERE has its hands in protection rackets, money laundering, the theft and sales of Paladin technology, and the widespread black market for the drug Trollblood. Despite its involvement in several fields of crime, it is believed that these are just the means to an end. In fact, rumor is NOWHERE's goal is much more grand than a quick cash grab. It is believed that NOWHERE'S goal is to create a "new world order" in which it will rule the populace. Though at first Paladin and the Vigilantes have considered NOWHERE a joke, their recent actions over the past few years have made them be taken much more serious. Paladin now considers NOWHERE to be one of its chief targets after recent rumors...
These rumors are that NOWHERE is actually led by Josephine Beaumont and Ryder Mercy, two SSS class criminals with some of the highest bounties in the world. They are widely believed to be responsible for the disappearance of Charles Paladin as well, which Paladin believes to be a step taken by them to construct the aforementioned new world order. N.O.W.H.E.R.E. stands for Nation Of Wayward Humans Evolving towards a Righteous Earth. In truth, the rumors are not too far from the truth. Jo is using NOWHERE to further her goal of inheriting Charles Paladin's role as chief enforcer of the world. The endgame for the organization is to become an organization not unlike Paladin, but free from it's corruption and bureaucracy. Ryder and Jo are currently searching the Wild West for new officers to further grow their organization.

While the footmen of N.O.W.H.E.R.E. appear to be nothing above your run of the mill rowdy street thugs, parading around with guns and baseball bats-- each footman is individually trained in Paladin-esque spec ops tactics and techniques. They move like a well oiled machine and have several different memorized battle formations, and can work either split into grounds or as one gigantic unit depending on the order. Several footmen are assigned leader positions within their roles as footmen, and are able to direct their colleges without the presence of one of their leaders. They are far more dangerous than they appear, and each is unique in their own sense-- no two footmen look alike, act alike, or fight alike. Above all else, however, they each share a deep loyalty and personal bond with their leaders, referring to Ryder and Jo as "Boss" and "Her Majesty" respectively. They consider their family-like group dynamic what makes them so powerful.

-The Ministry of Death-
Base of Operations: The Cathedral
Faction Type: Cult/Terrorist Group
Description: The Ministry of Death is the governing body of the Deathworshipper religion, formed by Kraven in the aftermath of the Vulture Team's confrontation with Cain. Kraven would realize that he could not only defeat Cain on his own, but he could not achieve his own goals to change the world without back up. Vulture Team had managed to accomplish so much together, so Kraven decided to form his own organization, gathering like-minded individuals from throughout the world. To add insult to injury, he would use the Cathedral that Cain used in their previous encounter as his new base of operations. Kraven sought to change his ways, he could no longer rely on just himself. Survival of the Fittest was what fueled this earth, so Kraven figured he ought to go find people with potential and make them the fittest on earth.
Preaching Kraven's philosophy of Survival of the Fittest and Death Worship, they would quickly spread their religion throughout the world. This being Kraven, they weren't exactly the most friendly of religions either. The Ministry is not only a religious body, but a terrorist cell meant to carry out an unholy crusade against unbelievers. The Ministry partake sin acts of terror throughout the planet, but especially North America. The leading officer of the Ministry is Father Death, Kraven. Second would be Mother of Death, which Cathy is currently occupying. Lastly, The Ministry's officers are known as "Brothers/Sisters of Death", whom Kraven tries his best to populate with the strongest Super Criminals of the Ministry with. Together, they spread terror throughout the earth in the name of Death.

Footmen fighting style: Deathworshippers are given military-grade training, using a training regime created by Kraven based off the special operations training used by Uncle Sam's regime. There are three types of footmen in the Deathworshipper ranks: the bigger and more muscular members are given some extra armor under their robes and given massive scythes. The smaller and faster members are given sickles to fight with as fast attack soldiers. Lastly, those who show proficiency in firearms are given standard issue assault rifles. Kraven goes through extreme lengths to keep his organization's secrets. All Deathworshippers are given cyanide capsules in the case of their capture. In addition, bombs are often tied to their body so they can blow themselves up along with their enemies in suicide bombings.

-The Assassin League-
Base of Operations: Abandoned Storage Complex
Faction Type: Underground Assassin Trade
Description: For more background on this faction, click here
Over the years, things were quiet. Marcus, the young and incredibly handsome leader of the ever growing Assassin League, knew it was time for something to change. Something had to be done. On looking the most recent news, Canada's destruction, Charles Paladin going missing, etc, Marcus thought back to No Man's Land, the prison in the Mojave. Sounded like the West Coast was having quite a bit of fun times, and with some of his assassins there, he felt like it was time for a change. He told everyone he was going on a trip, to forge a new path and basically look for something fun to do out West! However...not a lot of people wanted in. They were scared or some chicken shit. However, two people were determined enough to follow. Viktor, one of Marcus' best, if not, the best, assassins they've had in years, and a young looking girl, Harriet Miona. That was enough, and Marcus headed off!
Upon getting to their targeted place after a long period of time, they set up base in a abandoned storage complex, using the main build as their base of operations, and the storage units as individual rooms for everyone. They still operate as they always have, take people in who have nothing, and train them into World Class Assassins. They kill and leave without so much as a peep, unless they wanna mix things up. Every assassin's strength is brought out and used to the greatest extent. They're goal is to expand on the organization, retrieve the lost members for information, and finally, start taking jobs to clean up the mess made.

-Absolute Justice-
Base of Operations:
The Sanctuary
(This is a sprawling, rather out of place building seemingly sitting around out in the open. The walls are made of reinforced metals, and they seem to have basic ammenities in there--not everything, but it's decent, at the very least. Bedrooms for everyone, meeting rooms and whatnot, and a mess hall to eat in, as well. It seems that it was constructed there in recent months, specifically for the group to work out of this area. It's located in Paradse Bay.)
Faction Type:
Vigilante Group
Description:
Absolute Justice is a group of vigilantes whose primary focus is finding and arresting super criminals. They act as the judge, jury, and executioner for the super criminals that they catch, though certain members prefer arresting super criminals over executing them, an vice versa. The group itself is loyal to Paladin Industries, and this allegiance gives them legal protection--meaning that they can use as ruthless tactics as necessary to capture super criminals. Some members have a focus on justice in their actions, while others have other motivations to their actions. Oftentimes, they began as simple law-abiding citizens who were driven to arms in the battle against super criminals. In general, they are quite a well-known and sometimes infamous force. They are quite colorful and charismatic, but also highly skilled, and oftentimes dedicated to their job with a deadly determination.
The beginnings of this faction are obscure, but they quickly rose to a good degree of fame sheerly due to their skill. They quickly established themselves as an organization that hunts super criminals, and their leader, Santana Pejoves, was loud in his declarations that they were a force that was out to make the world a safer place to live in. They operated mostly on a small scale before, but have since widened their scale, going all over North America with their efforts at cleansing the world of super criminals wandering the land. Except for Scarlet City--they're kind of banned there. They tend to try to forget about that fact.

The Absolute Justice footmen are all quite varied—each and every one of them is a vigilante, and while they are not quite as skilled as the officers, they are all quite proficient in battle in their own rights. They use all kinds of different weapons and fighting styles, and all of them share a dislike for criminals and a desire for justice. The footmen benefit from a variety of skills, and generally share similar motives, so they work well together. They’re all equipped with weaponry of their choice, and in most cases, this weaponry is of a fairly high degree of technology, considering the connections that Absolute Justice has with Paladin Industries. In most cases, several of them will team up on a single supercriminal if they are facing officers—if they are facing footmen of other factions, they’ll generally spread out a bit more. They aren’t hesitant to help each other, and in most cases, teamwork comes to them fairly easily.

Despite the leader`s age, some have actually chosen to follow her- perhaps seeing some potential in her. -Militaires Sans Frontières-
Base of Operations:
Unknown
Faction Type:
Mercenary Unit
Description:
Militaires Sans Frontieres, otherwise known as the MSF, is a powerful mercenary unit based in Paradise Bay. Often spoken of cryptically as "The Soldiers Without Borders", they have operated world-wide since shortly after The Cataclysm. Since The Golden Age of Crime has begun, they've only risen in power. The organization takes part in armed conflicts all over the world, putting an end to countless wars. The organization preaches the values and honors of a warrior's lifestyle, with their own lifestyle and code of honor in place. The MSF is considered one of the world's premier Super Criminal organization, considered to be one of the world's greatest threats to peace alongside the Church of Crime and NOWHERE. Their leader, Ashley Kims, was a child soldier, fighting in several proxy wars and eventual rebellions against the World Government. In his teenager years, he would start the MSF, which would mainly do combat against The Trust, mainly Black Dragon and Paladin, in every corner of the globe. He became a Ranked Assassin, and quickly began to shoot up the ranks. The MSF would later be working under The Outsiders against the Assassins League in South America, where they helped Ishbel Wissenchaft take leadership over The Cartel, leading to her pillaging of the continent to which the effects of which are still felt today. After being betrayed by The Outsiders, the MSF still worked against The Trust on a continuous basis, until the death of Charles Paladin at the hands of Josephine Beaumont. After which, the MSF went off the radar. However in this time of quiet, Ashley Kims would kill the 5th, 4th, 3rd, 2nd, and 1st Ranked Assassins with little fanfare. Little else is known about their current activities...

Footmen Name: The F-Troop
Footmen fighting style: The F-Troop make up the majority of MSF's footmen. When one swears loyalty to the MSF, they swear not only to do so for life but for eternity. Even in death, the loyal footmen of MSF fight, or rather... they are simply never allowed to die. When a member of the MSF died, they are rebuilt using Cybernetics to become F-Troops, stitched together and living only thanks to their Cybernetics. F-Troops possess amazing strength and durability, along with complex weaponry at the cost of a slowed mental capacity. F-Troops are usually using assault rifles, machine guns, and explosives, but it is also fairly common for them to use cybernetic weapons, particularly replacing their arms with miniguns. It is said that these soldiers will only rest once the MSF's dreams are realized.

-Church of Crime-
Base of Operations: Unknown
Faction Type: Cult
Description: For nearly 100 years humanity was under the control of The Trust, a secret society of powerful individuals whom ruled the world from behind the scenes. Under their control, humanity suffered through the tyranny of Uncle Sam, The Cataclysm, the ages of neglect and violence that followed, and the last moments of Charles Paladin's reign of terror in which millions of lives were lost. Many with knowledge of The Trust believed the catalyst of these dark moments of history was the doing of The Mistress. Black Dragon held more power and sway within The Trust than anything else, however, this notion is false. The dark truth is, the most powerful individual within the Trust was none other than Red Masque, otherwise known as Cain. Cain believes himself to be the biblical figure Cain, and while this is unlikely, his great power is that of biblical proportions. His cult, the Church of Crime, is a Super Criminal organization like none other. It is feared by even Paladin, and is so feared by Absolute Justice that the Vigilantes are ordered to kill ALL individuals whom hold the Killer Gene without mercy. Those who know the dark truths about history fear him, but nobody can stop him. He cannot be killed, he does not age, and he holds sway over millions all over the world. The Church of Crime preaches sentiments of violence, hatred, of the seven deadly sins, and they worship their leader Cain as the man who created crime. He is spoke of as the originator of crime. It is said that Cain does not even bleed red, that his blood is black. That he is not even human. He walks the earth endlessly, preaching his holy truth throughout the world. And in the Golden Age of Crime, plenty are willing to listen. His greatest students, along with the most wanted men and women in the world (Besides Cain and Josephine Beaumont) are known as the Dark Apostles. They are the officers of the Church of Crime. They are currenly searching the globe for individuals with "The Killer Gene", as they preach that all those with the gene share Cain as their ancestor and thus the world belongs to them by divine inheritance. Currently his exact motives and whereabouts are unknown, but the chief priority of many organizations throughout the Earth is to find and eliminate him. Somehow.

Footmen Appearance:
Footmen Name: Blackbloods
Footmen fighting style: Cain does not believe in sending his "children" into battle to die unless absolutely necessary. No, it would be the humans' place to die for the cause. And that is what Blackbloods once were, humans. They are humans whom were injected with Cain's black blood. This blood, once injected into the human bloodstream, mutates a human into what could only be described as a Lovecraftian creature. Little is known about this process, Dr. Wissenchaft was researching this process but mysteriously disappeared before his research yielded any results. Upon first being created, a Black Blood is very vulnerable, it can be killed by a few gunshots or stab wounds. However, after several days, a Blackblood begins to develop a healing factor that allows it to heal any wounds inflicted upon it. These creatures are complete killing machines, and they will use their tendrils to kill just about everything around them, save for Killer Gene humans. Killer Gene humans seem to be the only beings that are not attacked by Blackbloods. Blackbloods lose their identity that they held as a human, and there is no known way to return a Blackblood to the human they once were. They will just wildly strike at everything in their paths, killing everything with their tentacles and overpowering strength.

-The Alliance-
Base of Operations: Meanwhile, The Wild West
Faction Type: Super Criminal Alliance
Description: The Inquisitor. The Mistress. These two Super Criminals are world renowned, feared by all, their names are legendary to those within the criminal underworld. Despite rumors of their passing, they are still very much alive. Even more interesting, they soon announced to the criminal underworld that they were working together. Made up of both The Inquisitor and The Mistress' forces, The Alliance has become a rising star in the Wild West criminal underworld. It is said that their intelligence and information brokering is in a class of its own. The Alliance has not only become a dominant force in the criminal underworld, it has openly challenged Paladin's authority, and declared war on Absolute Justice. Still, little is known about The Alliance, and only time will tell if more becomes known to the public...

-Footmen-
Footmen Appearance:
Footmen Name: Frogmen / Battle Strippers / Frogditos
Footmen fighting style: Frogmen are, for lack of a better word, expendable. Essentially, their job is to swarm the enemy in masses and overwhelm their enemies. Due to The Alliance's swamp-based location, they are armed for amphibious warfare, thus their moniker: The Frogmen. Standard issue wear includes a frogsuit, and harpoon guns, and goo grenades. Frogmen are notoriously lazy and incompetent, the jokes of the criminal underworld. They are often seen slacking off and playing videogames rather than actually doing their assignments. Every Frogmen has a camera installed on their suit as well. Though the Frogmen are the rank and file of The Alliance, they also have an elite unit of footmen known as the "Battle Strippers". As it turns out, these Battle Strippers are dressed like strippers, and have lots and lots of guns. Each and every one of them has elite mercenary training, and directly work under the leaders of The Alliance. They are armed with military grade weapons and cybernetics, though unfortunately their armor leaves a lot to be desired. Lastly, there are the Frogditos, the elite unit of The Alliance. Frogditos are bio-engineered frogman freakshows, and accomplished gunslingers. They are a band of modern cowboys, the greatest gunmen in the Wild West. Armed only with a couple of sixshooters and a sombrero, the Frogditos are some of the most highly trained footmen in the world, being able to go toe to toe with Blackbloods.
