No Man's Land: R.R.R. (Renew, Revive, Rebirth)

The new school year is just beginning, and fall winds are blowing through the chill air. A new transfer student arrives at the school, ushering in a new time of surprises--and as mysterious disappearances and other incidents begin occurring in town, it soon becomes clear to these students that something strange is happening in their little town...will they solve the mysteries in time, or will they be consumed by the darkness...? Make friends, fight evil, and reach out for the truth!

(This RP will be a slice of life/mystery/action/drama, in which RPers will be playing the reincarnations of their No Man's Land characters. Each person should start off with just one character, but later on, others may be added. It will move along in arcs, which will be announced as they come along. Assume that this RP takes place in a time after No Man's Land, in which the world has been restored to the point that it is in a relatively normal-ish situation.)

Arc One: Beginnings

As the school year begins, new friendships are forged and life seems to continue as it should--however, mysterious disappearances and other unexplained incidents begin taking place in town--and a few certain students aren't so ready to simply let these events go by unnoticed!

"I'M LAAAAATE!"
A voice of a girl blasted through the streets of the small town of Haven as Iris sprinted down the road towards the school. "I can't believe that I overslept on my first day...! Aw, man, the teacher's gonna kill me...!" Iris dashed through the streets, up until she finally reached the school. As she trotted up the stairs to the main building, she fumbled with her schedule paper, looking over it quickly. "First class is...uh...history! Got it! Room--uh--107--!" She stuffed the paper back into her skirt's pocket, then dashed down the hall, bamboo sword still clutched tightly in hand. Soon enough, she reached the room, and quite conspicuously jerked the door open, running inside and standing at the front of the room--completely ignoring the fact that the teacher had already started the lecture. "Hi there! I'm a transfer student! This is my first day! I'm Iris Verina Fausta Marciana VIII! But you can just call me Iris! I like swords and samurai movies and peach smoothies! I hope that we can all get along!" And then, without further ado, she went to the middle of the room, where there was an empty desk, and plopped down into the empty desk, letting her stuff fall into a heap next to the desk. Apparently, she believed this entrance to be a totally acceptable and okay thing.

Oh, but she done fucked up. She done fucked up good. Mr. Morris got up and smacked Iris over the head with a fan.
"Enough! We don't need your babblings anymore! Your voice is annoying!" he said. "Everyone, this is your new classmate! Apparently, she's an idiot with no sense of time or manners! She transferred from the big city to this little boonie town, so I guess her family got kicked out. Her family must have been complete SCREW UPS for that to happen. But I digress, SIT DOWN! We're going to continue the lesson! OH, and don't go about flirting with any boys Miss Fausta! They don't have any interest in your city charms." he turned around and started to lecture on the board about some more history.

Emilie looked up from her notes as a girl burst into the classroom and smiled at the silver haired girl as she introduced herself. She seemed spirited. Emilie thought it was amusing, but she could see from Mr. Morris's expression that he had other thoughts on the matter.
She inwardly winced for the girl. This kind of unbraiding was unfortunately something of an initiation for any class with this teacher. She knew it hadn't been fun for her when it had been her turn.
Emilie quickly waved at the transfer students before Mr. Morris could notice and went back to taking notes.

Iris, like the highly mature person that she was, proceeded to make faces at Mr. Morris as soon as he turned around to look at the chalkboard. When she saw the other students waving at her, she excitedly waved back at each of them in turn, making a big deal about it and being highly expressive about how excited she was to meet new people. She wasn't really paying attention to the lecture--she was too excited about new friends! New school, new town, new friends! Everything here made her happy! Except Mr. Morris. He was a jerkface.

He looked around to see who wasn't paying attention. "AH! MS. LOCKE! If you have time to chat, then you have time to answer my question!"

"I'm sorry you're stuck in this class with King Moron." but then was called on. "Oh." she stood up. "The three kingdoms were Wu, Wei, and Shu. Wu being a derived from the Han led by Sun Jian, Wei led by Coa Mai, but also commander Coa Coa, and Shu by the sworn brothers Lui Bei, Guan Yu, and Zhang Fei." she said. "And actually...there are four dynastyies...cause Jin led by Sima Yi later unites the land in the end, him deriving and betraying Wei." Morris glared at Greta, who sat down, and grumbled a small. "That's correct smartass..." and then kept writing.

Emilie smiled at Iris as she passed. So far Emilie liked the girl, she was amusing. Emilie wished she could bottle up that much personality into one of her characters. She just hoped Iris didn't end up too high on Mr. Morris's shit list. The girl wasn't exactly being subtle about not liking her teacher.
Emilie continued taking notes, frustrated that Mr. Morris chose to single out Greta but feeling instantly better as Greta answered the question perfectly. She tried to hide a smile as she continued taking notes. The small victories were always the most rewarding.

Pro hid his half disgusted expression... he loved history but Morris made the class impractical and annoying... and with his constant shoving down the throat tactics of morality and his pointing out his own personal shitlist which had nearly every freaking student he'd ever had on it and he thought he could see some of the other staff too... Morris' teaching was a constant trigger for Pro's depression... He quietly wrote down notes... not like he needed them, he thought to himself "The Romance of the Three Kingdoms, Really? this was a cross age class but talk about such a deep set of stories and give such an easy question, no wonder Greta knew the answer better than Morris did." He looked down and continued copying the board mindlessly.

Epi HATED Morris... The man constantly lectured him on morality and philosophy and he was very tempted to sneak a sizable animal into Morris' desk somehow... When Morris turned around to write Epi was still writing in his book he looked around at Iris and put his finger to his lips then winked at her then looked at Morris... He pulled out his small blow tube and fired a spit ball silently at Morris' obvious light purple Toupee it flew off his head, then Epi hid the tube in his inner coat pocket and returned to writing in his book before Morris had a chance to turn around.

Iris nodded to Greta and shrugged--she'd dealt with mean teachers before, and she could do it again! She happened to notice Epi trying to get her attention, and she watched carefully as Epi fired a spitball at Morris' toupee--flinging it right off. She immediately clapped both hands over her mouth, stifling the laughter that was threatening to burst out of her mouth if she ceased holding her breath. She had had no idea that that thing had been a wig--! This was priceless--!

The lesson went on for a little while, but then Morris got really tired of these assholes. But then toupee was not a thing anymore. He paused, and then turned around and pointed at Epi.
"YOOOOOOOOOOOU!" he yelled. "DETENTION FOREVER! YOU LITTLE BASTARD! REPORT BACK HERE AFTER CLASS YOU LITTLE SHIT!" but then the bell rang. "Alright, remember your homework, dickweeds!" he picked up his toupee and put it on. "Now GET OUT!" he collected his shit, and left the room.

She always ate in the same spot everyday, so it was good to have that. She went to the roof and took out her lunch she packed.

Emilie looked up from her notes and caught site of Morris's toupee came flying off of his head. She gave Epi a half amused half warning look behind Morris's back before turning back to her notes.
After Morris left the classroom, Emilie began laughing. When she was able to stop, she packed up her bag and looked over at Epi,
Epi, you really do have a death wish don't you? You know Morris isn't going to forget this.
She laughed a bit winking good naturedly at Epi before turning around and smiling at the transfer student,
Iris, would you like to join us for lunch?

Pro didn't chuckle at his brother's stunt... He was used to Epi's shit by now... Secretly He Loved and Hated it... Epi would always do what he wanted to do deep down... Occasionally Pro would sub detention for Epi... Morris never noticed so long as he took his hair down and didn't say anything the whole time... He still gave Epi a look of disapproval, especially when Emilie chimed in... She makes a good point Epi I can't cover for you all the time... He didn't say it just to agree with Emilie on something, totally not, he just thought Epi needed to think about his actions a bit more. Oh yeah Iris why don't you join us?... Emilie and I can give you some inside know how about the school and stuff... Mr. Socialite here won't give you much unless you drag it out of him. He said looking at Epi Jokingly...
Epi just stood there... He shrugged at Emilie and his brother at their protests saying nothing as always... He cocked an agitated eyebrow at Pro for his last statement then pulled open his notebook and wrote something in it then closed it and held it at his side.

We should totally eat on the roof! Whoever gets so cold that they need to go back inside first buys everyone sodas later!" She gave a bit of a cheerful chuckle, then immediately headed out of the room, only to come right back insdie. "Uh...which way is it to the roof?"

She said a little prayer, and then dug in, starting to eat her food, enjoying the weather and her food. Today was gonna be a pretty awesome day.

Emilie smiled at Pro. She knew he secretly loved when Epi did stuff like this. Still neither wanted Epi to wind up in more trouble than he could handle, especially with people like Morris. She turned back to Iris, smiling as the girl said she would eat with them,
Typically we eat by the garden but the roof's really nice too. Not that many people eat up there actually.
She watched the girl with an amused and slightly confused smile as Iris left the classroom in search of the roof. She looked at Epi and Pro. Did Iris even know her way around the school yet? Her question was answered a moment later. Emilie pointed to her right.
Take that hallway, turn a corner at the bathroom, then go up the stairs. We can show you the way. I think Greta might be up there actually.

Pro watched Greta leave and listened to the conversation at hand... They did eat around the garden normally... mainly because there was almost never anyone else there... Pro and Epi both were very reclusive in big social areas like school or the mall... Here let's show her Emilie... Greta? She did it's right up here... Iris seemed nice enough, a little confused but nothing too bad... Pro and Epi lead the way to the roof after picking up their things from class... Pro waved to Greta as they came up to the top... Here it is Iris, this is the place, it's really nice up here so long as its not too hot out... Which it wasn't at all... It was beautiful out today, no clouds a little breeze... He took a deep breath of fresh air in then sat down and began eating his lunch... He passed Epi his part.
Epi nodded acknowledgment to Greta then sat there silently contemplating writing something... Epi took his lunch half and left it there for a minute.

Iris followed Emilie and the twins up the stairs, then gawked at the size of the roof once they'd gotten up there.
"Gosh, this place is huge! We should totally eat lunch up here more often!" She sat down happily with the others, pulling out her lunchbox and opening it--revealing a bunch of sandwiches and other goodies tthat were cut into pretty shapes, like stars and hearts, and things like that. "Hey, how come our homeroom teacher is such a grouch? Has he always been like that?"

She ate in silence and watched the cars go by on the road, counting the colors.

Emilie smiled at Greta as they entered the rooftop,signaling for her to join them. Greta was a sweet girl but she was so quiet that Emilie wasn't able to talk to her as much as she would have liked, despite them both being in the book club together. She brought out her lunch. Today it was more elaborate than usual. Dad must of had some extra time before leaving for work this morning. She happily bit into her sandwich before swallowing her food and answering Iris's question.
That would be pretty cool. The view from up here has always been really nice, especially in spring. Oh, Morris, yeah. He's always like that. He seems to just hate the world in general. You, unfortunately, probably just made it onto his shit list today.
She looked over as she heard Cocoa and waved at the girl. Emilie smiled at the boys. She'd known them long enough to be able to guess how odd this situation was to them.
Of course. It's nice to meet you, Cocoa.

"Well it's nice to meet all of you as well!" Cocoa said as she went over to sit down. "Pardon me! OFP! Sorry..." she said as she almost tripped over. "I'm a little new here and I'm surprised to see that the roof is such a popular place. Normally no one is up here where I used to go." Cocoa said as she sat down beside the group and took out her sandwich and chips. She began to eat her strange looking sandwich... In fact she had two. One that was egg salad and the other looked to be peanut butter, natella, fluff, and jelly.

Emilie smiled and continued eating as Cocoa joined them. She didn't recognize the girl. It was unusual for one new student let alone two. She wondered where the girl had been this morning. Emilie was sure she hadn't been in home room.
Normally the roof isn't this popular, but a fair amount of people do tend to eat up here. I'm surprised we didn't see you in class this morning.
She noted Cocoa's odd sandwich, but didn't comment on it. Mal could make some pretty weird food when he wanted to. Emilie looked back at Iris, curious as to what the girls reaction would be to hearing that she was on the shit list.
