Strengths:
+Sven's actually a bit stronger and faster than any normal human would be, due to the fact that he's not exactly fully human in the first place.
+He's very physically fit and athletic. He kept up his exercising even while he was in prison.
+His lizardy parts generally give him some creative weapons to use during battle--such as claws, fangs, or his tail.

Weaknesses:
-He's not trained to fight. If stuck in a fight, he'll work off complete improvisation. Generally, he'll try to avoid fights because of this.
-Sven's temper will get the better of him quite easily. It's easy to egg him on into doing things if you know how to manipulate emotions well.
-Generally, Sven's face is very easily recognizable due to his prior fame as a racer--and now that his reputation's down the tubes, this generally doesn't help him very much so much as it hurts him.

Fighting Style:
If made to fight, Sven works with total improvisation. He works with hand to hand, but will generally focus more on using his mutations to his advantage--his tail makes for a good bashing weapon, and he does have claws under his gloves, as well as quite sharp fangs for teeth. There's a good chance that in a fight, he'll simply go all out as fast as he can, and not leave any openings, but generally, he's quite messy with combat. He was never trained by anyone, after all--in fact, all of his fighting experience comes from his time in prison, where he at times had to defend himself. On another note, he also has a riding crop left over from his career, which could kind of count as a weapon--although he gets made fun of it more than anything when he uses it, so--

Personality:
Sven, generally, comes off as a bit of an abrasive person. He's loud, often obnoxious, and is wasteful with his money. He's got a big love for gambling, and tends to spend a lot of time with it. However, he does make time for his friends--as difficult as it is for him to make them. With his friends, he'll be outgoing and expressive--he's actually a pretty fun-loving guy. Around strangers, he's a little more reserved--however, it doesn't change that he's got quite the attitude and a very short temper--and he's not afraid to show it. He won't hesitate to speak his mind to others, and often insults people--whether he means to or not. He won't let anyone tell him how he should act or what kind of person he wants to be--and generally acts as if he's quite confident in himself. He's actually got a lot of internalized anger over his own state of being--he's upset at himself for not being normal and having lost his only successful thing going for him, he's resentful towards humans since they're more "normal" than him, but he also wishes he could be one, while also being hateful towards most aliens due to the fact that it was indirectly their fault in his eyes that he became the way he is--while he is also jealous of them, too, because he feels like they're even more normal than he is. He really hates his current body and wants to be human again, but knows that it'll never happen. He's hateful towards himself and generally degrades himself quite a lot--but almost never lets this side of him show to anyone, ever. He doesn't want to show weakness.

Bio:
Sven was originally born in and lived in Sweden. He lived there with his parents--his mother was a teacher, and his father a scientist. The three of them lived peacefully, although they were often struggling for funny--Sven's mother didn't earn so much, and his father usually wasn't very successful in his often very eccentric experiments, which more often than not failed. Sven was an average student in school, actually quite quiet. Things went on normally like this up until the point when the Cosmic Deity appeared in what would soon become New Gotham. Sven's mother wanted nothing to do with it--but as New Gotham began to come into its own, the father of the family began to grow more and more obsessed with the ideas of the extraterrestrials--up until he actually somehow managed to get "transferred" to New Gotham for his job. Sven's mother suspected that it was a lie, and that the man was simply trying to get closer to the otherworldly creatures in New Gotham, and at first, she refused to go. However, once Sven's father left, it became apparent that he'd taken all of the family's savings with him--and Sven's mother knew they wouldn't last without it. She used what little money she had left to buy boat tickets for herself and Sven, pursuing her husband across the ocean and bringing Sven with her, not wanting to leave him alone. Throughout all of this, Sven had become pretty stressed out by the obvious tensions between his parents--and while he felt like he'd rather stay away from his father, he knew they had to do this to get their savings back. He'd begun to be more vocal about how he felt--at least to his mother. Once they found his father, the three of them took up residence in a hotel in New Gotham. The hotel suite they'd gotten had two rooms, and while Sven stayed in one, his parents were in the other--and he could always hear them arguing. He didn't dare leave the hotel room because of all of the creatures outside--they were frightening. He did all he could to distract himself--reading, working on his schoolwork--and eventually simply turning on the tv on his side of the suite and turning up the volume high enough that he couldn't hear his parents yelling. Eventually, though--the yelling stopped. Sven's parents didn't come into his room, and he didn't dare go into theirs. For at least three or four days, he was holed up in his side of the room, keeping the doors shut and living off room service, letting the food add to the general bill for the room. The longer the silence lasted, the more it stressed him out--and his anxiety quickly turned into frustration. Eventually, he became so fed up with it that he actually barged through the door into the other side of the suite--and the horrible sight that met him made him freeze in his tracks. The furniture all shifted to the the sides of the room, large suitcases piled at the door, blood all over the floor, a large, twitching lizard-like creature stuffed into a bodybag laying on the table, and--his mother's corpse lying on the floor in the corner. Sven fainted straightaway out of sheer shock.
When he awoke next, he wasn't in the hotel anymore. No, it wasn't a place he knew--all he was aware of was darkness and a quiet, dull rumbling in the background. Little did he know--he was actually inside a large suitcase, in the hold of one of the trains heading through the portal, away from Earth--one of his father's suitcases. The scientist had gone absolutely mad--and had less than humane plans for his obsession with the otherworldly. Sven passed in and out of consciousness, and eventually finally saw the light of day again--only to be knocked out again right after, presumably by his own father. The next time he woke up, he felt sore and bleary--he wasn't sure what was happening, but he was lying on a cold table under a bright light--some sort of operating room. It was then that he realized that his physical body wasn't the same anymore--it was wrong, it was warped--somehow, his body had been melded together with parts from the strange reptilian creature that he'd seen back at the hotel. He immediately panicked, actually injuring a few people that came in to try to subdue him--which eventually he was. He went into a state of numb shock for a day or two after that--slowly returning to his normal mental process, although he still felt extremely disturbed at the state his body was in. He knew by this point that his father was at fault--all of this--it was all his father's fault.
It took him a few days, but he decided--he would escape. He would escape, and find something to do with himself, and he would prove to his father that he was more than a scientific subject to get cut up and altered. The next evening, he executed his escape plan--just barely getting out of there, and hiding in the city outside of the building--which turned out to not be some sort of professional facility at all--and more of an undeground organization of humans that had moved through the portal in order to enact different scientific experiments in the new world. Sven had no idea where he was and no idea how to get home--but he knew he had to make due. He hid in the city for a few days, but eventually knew he had to do something--he searched around until he finally managed to get himself a job. At this point, he was an older teen, so it was easy enough for him to find a part time job--and he got a few of them, using the pay from those to support him day to day. However, he wasn't happy--he knew he had a long way to go before he managed to shove the truth of his existence into his father's face. Sven decided he wanted to do something big--and happened to see sport races displayed on public entertainment as he passed by certain buildings. It was perfect! He could do that! He spent years searching around for connections to get into the career field, and years more training--and so long of back-breaking effort and dedication, finally became the famous racer that he had wanted to be. However, he was bitter--extremely bitter, towards pretty much everyone. While his public presence came off as quite likable, people that met him in person didn't find him so likable--and he didn't like himself, either. He still felt disgusted simply with trying to figure out what he was--and resented both humans and aliens simply for the fact that they were complete, and not like him--a crooked jigsaw puzzle he'd never wanted to be a part of. He needed to deal with his frustration and anxiety somehow--which is how he ended up developing his gambling problem. After he did it once, he was hooked, gaining a real addiction to it. He wasted away all of his race money, and despite the fact that he was famous and popular, he never got much better living conditions than a small apartment and whatever bits of food he could get off his gambling winnings--which wasn't usually much. He had a talent for losing all of his money. Eventually, his addiction of his led into less savory enterprises--he began handing out bribes and fixing races, as well as cheating with his bets on the races as well as in his gambling. This continued on for quite some time, and although Sven knew he was doing bad things, he made no effort to stop himself. Eventually, he was found out--it became a massive scandal, seeing as how he'd fooled numerous people out of their money, only to use it on gambling. He was arrested for his actions, and eventually sent to jail--apparently his reputation preceded him enough that people assumed he was a criminal with a large, impressive list of crimes--he lied while in jail about his accomplishments, and generally had a bad time because he got beat up a lot--mostly for the fact that he was a mutant, and also had no idea how to fight. He learned basic self defense skills simply to try to defend himself--he still wasn't so good at it, though. He continued his life in prison, being generally even more miserable than before--but eventually came the event that started Secret Society X, and that got him out of the prison. With his racing career ruined, he had little else to do but join the society and hope that someday he'd figure out what he planned to do with himself. He suspects that he'll probably never really feel truly happy again--and at this rate, it looks as though he may be right.

Extra Information/Trivia:
-Sven's got an addiction to gambling. Even when he did have his old racing job, he betted on other races, and always wasted all of his money gambling. He could tell he was headed down a dead-end street, but couldn't find it in himself to get himself to stop gambling.
-Sven generally wears bandages at the corners of the human part of his mouth in order to keep the lizardy parts both shut and hidden. He hates being reminded of the fact that he's a mutant.
-Sven's hat actually used to belong to a racer that he used to look up to a lot when he was a kid--when the racer retired, Sven was already racing by that point, and had become friends with him--the hat was gifted onto him, and Sven treasures it.
-Being tied up or restrained has a high chance of causing Sven to experience a panic attack.
-He's markedly afraid of laboratories and obvious scientists (i.e: white labcoat wearing ones), and actively avoids them.

★ 【 STUPID DETAILS 】 ★
_____________________________________________________________________________

Home planet:
Earth

Vehicle:
Jantzen owns a small, blue moped. It's not outstandingly fast, but it still works for his purposes.

Relations:
(♥=love interest, ☺=friend, ★=allies / coworker, ✗=enemy, ☠=rival, ♔=boss, ☻=best friend, ☣=neutral (for when you know someone but dont have a strong opinion),  ✿=crush, ♗ =mentor, ♘ = guardian/protector,  ♞=family, ✖=ex love interest, ♙=working under, ♠=ex-friend, ۞=ex-ally)

Zion Jones - ☺

Strengths:
+Jantzen's eyes give him foresight--because of this, he's able to accurate predict bits and pieces of the future.
+He's a pretty clever guy--despite the fact that he isn't more than average in the actual academic intelligence department, his wit is quite impressive--he's good at thinking up plans when he's in a pinch, and he's good at using the environment to his advantage.
+Having once had a job as a delivery boy, Jantzen knows his way around New Gotham quite well--if pursued, he'd know several different ways throughout the city to shake off whoever was chasing him.

Weaknesses:
-Jantzen has no idea how to fight, and due to this, wouldn't really be able to defend himself in combat.
-His eyes' powers, while they are quite a boon, have also made Jantzen a good deal more paranoid than need be, constantly worried about what he sees in his visions. On that note, there are many that know of the Oculus Futura--and due to this, he's been a target before for people who have wanted to take the eyes for themselves, simply for their powers.
-He's not exactly the most subtle guy around. Anyone who sees his eyes open isn't bound to forget him anytime soon--he's forced to walk around squinty-eyed or with his goggles on if he doesn't want to be recognized immediately.

Fighting Style:
Jantzen doesn't actually know how to fight. In fact, he's never fought a day in his life. As far as physical combat goes, he'd be bested easily--he's slightly below average as far as running speed goes, and as far as muscles go--well, he's kind of got noodle arms. He does have a powerful asset as far as his eyes go, though--those eyes, that were implanted into him by chance due to an accident, have the power to see things that normal eyes could never even dream of. The eyes will from time to time give him flashes of foresight into the future, letting him see events that are yet to come to pass. These events generally only have to do with himself or people he's involved with, but the predictions are always accurate--the only way to prevent the future that the eyes, known as the Oculus Futura, present to their bearer, is to actively take action to change what happens. If no action is taken, the events will come to pass whether the person runs, hides, or anything else but actively try to prevent them.
On another note, he can pass on a single vision to someone else if two conditions are met--one, the vision must have occurred less than ten minutes ago, and two, Jantzen must kiss the person's forehead to pass it on.

Personality:
Jantzen, in general, comes off as a fairly lighthearted and optimistic person. On first impressions, he's relaxed and easy to get along with. However, there's actually a lot more to it. While he does genereally work to keep himself upbeat and looking on the bright side, he's actually extremely anxious--about most everything. He writes up to-do lists to remind himself to finish things, then hounds himself about finishing them until he's so frazzled that he can't even do the things on the list. He needs to be kept busy or else he falls into a slump that's difficult to get out of, simply because he got to thinking about things that depress him. He holds himself to very high standards, and beats himself up over it emotionally if he doesn't meet his own standards. He's been living in his family's shadow for a while now and tends to compare himself to others and constantly doesn't feel good enough. His future vision tends to make him anxious over future events, and he tends to get into trouble trying to avoid the outcomes he sees. Still--despite all of the stress that builds up inside him, he does have a happier side. He's not constantly freaking out--and when he's not freaking out, he's generally quite relaxed and cheerful--just as people perceive him. He's very loyal to his friends, and wants to be able to help others--while also keeping out of trouble. He knows his own limits.

Bio:
Jantzen grew up in Ohio, along with his parents and elder brother, Amory. Generally, both of his parents were quite successful, and Amory always seemed to do better than Jantzen in pretty much everything--ever since their youth. Jantzen grew up relatively living in his brother's shadow, and always wishing that he could be as well-loved as Amory was--their parents only seemed to have the time of day for the wildly successful members of the family. Jantzen, despite how hard he tried, didn't seem to develop any sort of particular talents, and didn't really seem any more than simply average. This went on for quite a while--Jantzen's older brother went on to become a politician, while Jantzen remained unemployed. Despite the fact that he was just turning 20, his parents wanted him to have a job--and he was having no luck finding one.
Eventually, the event with the Cosmic Deity took place in what would become New Gotham, and soon enough, more and more politicians were needed in the city in order to deal with things coming through. Jantzen's brother set out for the city--and on an impulsive decision, Jantzen decided to go, too. After all, with all the people coming through, maybe new types of jobs would open! He moved to New Gotham and bought an apartment, feeling awfully weirded out by all of the strange aliens hanging around--but he knew he had to support himself somehow, so he quickly got on the job hunt again. He looked around for a while, and eventually got a job as a delivery boy for a pizza place. Everything was going great! He had a scooter to drive around and deliver pizza and everything! However, of course--that's when things went south.
One day, he was on a delivery--and ended up getting caught up in a high speed chase. He, on his scooter, ended up stuck driving in front of a car that was being pursued by another car--the first car holding just one very distinctive looking alien, and the second car full of a bunch of very angry-looking other aliens. Frankly, to this day, Jantzen still has no idea what was happening--however, as might be expected, this ended up resulting in his scooter crashing into the first car, and pretty much everyone got injured.
Jantzen woke up in the hospital--only to learn of a nasty surprise. Without his permission, the doctors had implanted into him the eyes of the alien that had been being chased--Jantzen's own human eyes had been damaged beyond repair during the crash, and the alien had died, but its eyes were still usable and just about the right size--so, the doctors had gone through with the implant. Jantzen left the hospital after a few days of healing, but he'd noticed things--he kept getting flashes of things that kept ending up becoming true--almost like deja vu, but in a future sense. He eventually realized that he was simply getting premonitions of the future--only as a result of his new eyes. Once he was released from the hospital, the visions only seemed to increase in frequency as he got healthier--he eventually lost his job due to simply freaking out over things to come. He found that he was beginning to see things he really didn't want to see--like potential dangers during the day, or even deaths of random strangers. He began doing all he could to avert these visions from coming true--and all this really succeeded in doing was getting everyone who didn't know about his powers to begin to think he was going insane. He got a new job eventually, as a waiter--and that worked out relatively well. It was around this time, too, that he met his small monkey friend, Echo. However, he found that random people began coming after him and hunting him occasionally--all for his eyes. Apparently they had greater power than he'd realized. He used his future sight to avoid the attackers, since he had no idea how to fight, and managed to keep his face intact, eyes and all. Eventually, though, he got fired from his waiter job, too, for accidentally scaring off a customer while trying to warn her of her impending doom. Currently, he's unemployed, looking for a job, and still trying to avoid occasional attackers trying to gouge out his eyes and take them for themselves. Honestly, at this point, he kind of just wants to be successful in life--and avoid dying. The city's pretty dangerous, so staying alive is pretty high on his to-do list, too...

Jantzen's Theme - Time to Know

Extra Information/Trivia:
-His tiny monkey friend's name is Echo. She's not a natural Earth monkey, and rather somehow ended up in the city along with some other immigrants--Jantzen found her by chance, and they became fast companions. He's the one who gave her the name Echo.
-He's had several jobs before--being a waiter, being a delivery boy, etc. etc.--he's been fired from all of them for the same reason that he freaked out about some future event he'd seen a vision of, which ended up somehow disrupting his work.
-Jantzen's brother Amory is actually a politician who works closely with relations between Earth and the newcomers. Jantzen's never been as successful as his brother or his parents, who are both scientists, and definitely feels the social and internal pressure behind his own failures to live up to their achievements.
