In the far future, humanity has expanded its reach into the stars. From there, they learned they were not alone, literally thousands upon thousands of other races existed, an entire community awaited them. They fought expansive space wars, went where no man has gone before, and learned the universe' secrets. Many human beings would soon join the ranks of The Guardians. Guardians were in many ways considered heroes, they traveled the universe searching to help people for pay. They upheld a strict moral code, and worked together to save the universe at every turn. However, the evil bitch Mingko and her empire would soon emerge... subjugating much of the galaxy and hunting most of the Guardians down. The Guardians are now a shadow of their former selves, most now work alone or in small teams, they are despised and hunted down by many. However, a rag tag group of Guardians, along with several outlying planets, and an alliance of powerful armies are uniting to put an end to the bitchiful Minkgo once in for all-!

And that's a completely different story.

In the hidden depths of space lies a base hidden within a space colony, belonging to a militarized organization focused on creating a solid defense against Mingko without the help of those who once called themselves the Guardians. The Guardians are a faded light of hope scattered as they now are, and these people are desperate for action against the queen`s tyranny- and their desperation led to the creation of "Military Operations of Strategic and Unorthodox Planning", otherwise known as M.O.S.U.P. While wanting to protect the galaxy from Mingko sounds excellent on paper, what goes on behind the scenes at M.O.S.U.P. is a little known fact, almost as little known as the organization itself- for years they`ve been kidnapping humans in particular from a young age, and operating on them with ancient artifacts to grant them artificial enhancements in strength. The treatment these children undergo is said to be excruciating and violent- the living conditions are less than subpar, and even with the experimentations aside, the staff is especially abusive and crude. However- the facility holds one particular individual named Phyllis, a girl with a sublime fate and monstrous, sentient hair courtesy of the experimentation she`s undergone. She`s quickly become a favorite of M.O.S.U.P., and ideally fit the bill for their machinations- something she isn`t personally fond of. Her and the four other young humans in the custody of M.O.S.U.P. have begun planning their escape, and Phyllis is almost certain she`s comprised the perfect plan to escape to salvation from her captors...

On the other side of the galaxy, years ago a group of outcast robots experienced what they described as a spiritual awakening. They abandoned their preprogrammed lives to establish a communal monastery deep in the lesser known parts of the galaxy. After many years of meditation on the nature of existence, they came to the belief that they were more than artificial intelligences and that, like humans, they possessed the essence of a soul. Recognizing the spiritual equality they held with humans- the monks, led by the enigmatic robot known as Tekhartha Mondatta, sought to heal the wounds they found in their travels and bring humans and robots back into societal harmony. Their message was embraced by millions around the galaxy, and they became galactic celebrities. Though- one AI in particular, Sumi, disagrees with this new direction. She believes that the way to repair the spiritual differences between humans and robots is not through dogmatic teaching alone- but through interpersonal connection and engagement. As such, she forges her own path, unsure where it may take her...
