From Afar (Rp of Mocha, Vlad, Vanguard, Raven, DBZ, and Merc)

↘↘↘ The screech resounded in Vincent's eardrums as he flew overhead, they had charged him to find Ortensia; well. They charged everyone and everything to find this crazed witch hell bent on the annihilation of the world, he was just the one that seemed to be getting closer and closer to the prioritized target. 'Well isn't that intriguing.' He thought to himself, to either side of him his wings fluttered for a moment before folding in; sending him into a descending dive to the forest below. As he came within meters of the branches, his wings bellowed out; catching the air as he flipped into a branch to keep from crashing below. The scene that unfolded down there was one he'd rather avoid, thankfully the altitude advantage saw to that for him. With a sudden flash at the palm of his hand, three small parrying knives seemed to flourish from his stored archive. As long as he could summon them to him, he'd be armed; but so were the two below him. A fight was breaking out between his target and a stranger, this would be the best time to strike. Without a word he cast the three knives down from the trees and towards Ortensia; his eyes following her swing as two knives aimed for her chest, her heart his target since the head could be easily missed with her moving about. The last however went straight for her wrist with deadly precision, if he could disarm and weaken her casting he could give chase more safely.

↘↘↘ "Flying rat?" Vincent mused, clearly entertained by the insult and nickname that he had been gifted with. "Well that's a new one." As his target shrieked and shouted he shook his head, writhing in agony, a pitiful sound to hear no matter what organism it came from. Before he knew it however, his own blade was coming back to him from a clumsy throw; but as it drew near it sparked and flew to his hand with ease. "You're trying to cut me with my own blades? That's just sad." With a quick gust of wind, his wings lifted and cast himself outwards towards another tree but as he drifted above he threw the returned knife down at his target once more just as the other two that were embedded within her started to spark and attempt to return to their owner. Resistance would prevent them for a while, but soon the knives would flash from their own summoning and return to their owner. As the youth that was previously engaged in what looked like a fight ran off, his eyes could barely take the time to look out for her. His target was here; and that was all that mattered.

↘↘↘ As he landed atop the opposite tree, his eyes only followed his target. His prey. This woman was stuck on the ground like a lost little worm, but as she shouted out in retaliation he began to summon even more blades to his grasp; he had gotten a few lucky ones in, now if only he could finish the job- What? "Hey!" Vincent shouted in protest, as she began to sink into the pool of blood. No way in hell would he dive into that mass; that'd be sure death in his book, and as the knives finally returned to his grasp and were officially summoned it was to late. She had sunk down so far that his target was barely left, and he knew full well by the time his knives would get there she would be gone. "No wonder the bounty on you is so high.. And why everyone has stopped chasing." Vincent sighed, casting his head downwards before he stepped off the branch; his wings catching the air to lighten his fall, but he landed heavily all the same. A large thud resounded beneath his boot, and he moved to where the remaining red murk sat still. With a flash, all the knives he had summoned vanished of their own accord. Returned to his own little storehouse, his archive; besides the blood that happened to coat a few of them now he had little to go on to continue the chase. "Why must the targets be so difficult.." He mused to himself, pacing for a moment as he collected his thoughts; but that was when he remembered the woman that had bolted off into the forest just moments prior. With a spark in his eye from the revelation, he knew where he had to go for his new lead; so he took off quickly. One foot after the other, sprinting through the trees as his wings folded into his sides. That woman must be here somewhere, and frightened; it'd be best to approach unarmed, but he knew full well that dodging may be the best course of action at a time like this. That large blade of hers looked menacing enough to become a full fledged worry. "Hello?!"

↘↘↘ Running. That was a thing, wasn't it? Rather unfortunate, his legs felt odd on firm ground as he sprinted about but it was nothing to disconcerting. His wings itched to be freed but for now he had to keep them restrained. He moved swiftly, but as he reached the clearing a soft hello reached him. He was thankful he didn't seem all that intimidating. Otherwise how else was interrogations supposed to go? "Hey, that woman-" He started out; voice soft, as one would expect from an Avian but with the oncoming labrador of sorts his soft nature was disturbed. The questions came fast, with such a brunt nature that the Avian was left taken aback. Smirking softly as if to put on a calmer demeanor than he initially had, he crossed his arms and turned his eyes to the woman beside him. The questions that were asked intrigued him as well, as long as she answered the beast; she answered him. It seemed the other bounty hunters were hot on his tail.. Unfortunately the target had already disappeared. For now he was content with remaining silent and letting the brash beast get the information he needed out of her.

↘↘↘ Vincent couldn't help but find the scene unfolding before him the slightest bit entertaining, but the failure of killing his target was still a strong bother in the back of his head. Being content with the beast's attempt at gaining information grew weary however as the woman began both fawning and freaking out around him, but then again, she seemed freaked out and curious about the both of them now. With the introduction of the Lupine Fist, a name he was quite sure he had heard before.. Somewhere.. But was it out of adoration or was it the butt of a joke? His memory failed him in this regard so he shook it off, bounty hunters were normally cruel people anyway. As he was addressed he looked up, meeting the Lupine's eyes evenly. "Bad lady Ortensia sunk in a pool of blood, you my hairy friend might be able to catch her scent however." Vincent mused, taking a moment to think it over before summoning a small bloodied throwing knife from his arsenal in a flash before tossing it towards the wolf in a non-violent effort for him to catch it. "In case you didn't have the scent of her blood anyway, this may help in the long run." He furthered, trying not to build off the jest about how the beast would have to run. As for the woman's questions, at that moment he had procrastinated on answering them but in the end he figured the Lupine's reply wasn't informative enough. "In short, we're chasing the woman that you were clashing with just moments before; and we'd appreciate any information you have about here. What started the fight? Why were you two fighting, and most of all what led the two of you out here? It was odd hearing reports about her coming out so close to the Latvin border without good reason."

↘↘↘ With his knife somewhere near the Lupine, his attention shifted towards the victim as she started to recount her tale. Or a tale. He wasn't quite sure if he could believe the legitimacy of it.. She spoke rather quickly and he nearly cringed as his mind fought to keep up with the details, but by the end of it he took a soft breath and closed his eyes to mull it all over. It was a lot to take in; or rather, it was confusing to take in. "So she managed to summon you?" Vincent remarked, pulling a knife out of what seemed like thin air; a small flash around his hand to signify it's entrance. It didn't seem like she had connected him to the knives, but that was fine. "As for becoming her weapon to destroy the world," He went on, taking her in more clearly. His eyes wandering over both her weapon and physique; almost critiquing her to the slightest detail, she didn't look like any weapon made to destroy the world. Then again he hadn't the slightest clue as to what one looked like, but he would assume something more... Menacing? 'Doesn't seem like a threat, but it's still nonsense. Police? Guitar? Bus? Wait that isn't a lute?' His eyes coursed over back to the guitar, thing, she had mentioned and recalled the blade she had used earlier. 'So she can use magic..' Vincent mulled, she didn't seem all that aware of the situation; but if she could manage magic, then that made her interesting. So few were capable of such a feat. "Look," Vincent gathered; trying to find the words, a specialty of poetic Avians. "You seem confused; disoriented, either of us could escort you to the nearest town. You're in Scadia, to be more accurate it's forest that borders Latvin, and the town we should be taking you to is called Sadiva. Not to difficult to remember I hope, but we must move swiftly. The longer we stay out here the greater the risk of Ortensia retaliating." He finished, knowing full well that if she had the time she would be able to come back a much greater threat than the one he had faced earlier. For now, he needed to be sure he was chasing her; and not the other way around. He just had to hope he was convincing enough, because unfortunately, he just wasn't one of those Avians that focused on poetry.

↘↘↘ With the victim's discomfort at both being summoned to this seemingly strange place, coupled with the way that he shamelessly observed her Vincent could do little more than shrug it off. It wasn't like he was going to console or apologize for either event, her own hello to garner his attention had earned a short glance back towards her eyes before he had finished. Her questions kept going, she was right, she was definitely a fast talker and the normally reclusive Avian found it difficult to keep up with the conversation. "First off. I'm an Avian, he's a beast; but there are many of those, this one here seems to be a wolf." Vincent spoke rather matter of factly, casting a glance behind him as he started his own pace to town; his wings silently berating him for walking instead of flying. Even if it was to help the others. "I don't know what an 'Angel' is, all I know is that getting to town may be our best choice right now." The avian furthered, but as he took a glance behind him he made sure that the Lupine would give chase and follow to town as well in pursuit of protecting the victim and finding the 'bad lady'. 'It's as if he's fighting for an actually pure reason.' Vincent thought to himself, deciding to tuck that small bit of information to the back of his mind should he ever really need it.
