The Zirkus der Träume has traveled up and down all of Europe spreading their ideals of dreams and wonder.  They seek to dazzle their audience and leave them breathless and at the edge of their seats.  One day the circus is suddenly there with their monochrome tents reaching up to the sky in a surreal display.  They will linger for a while then, like a dream, they disappear without a trace.

There are rumors floating around this circus.  Stories of strange and sometimes otherworldly happenings occurring whenever they are in town.  Sometimes it's inexplicable but before anything can be concluded, they vanish.  There is something going on in this place but what is it and what will it take to find out?

Nazesur glanced to the side for a moment.  He looked back to the female as she introduced herself.  Poppi Poppi.  He hoped he could remember that.  He probably would.  With her appearance she could have very well been a part of the circus as well.  He stared at the female studiously with his sharp red eyes.  He gave her a nod, "Alright, it's a plan."  He turned and looked around for a moment.  "That big tent over there," he pointed an ivory finger at one of the swirling tents, "I think that might be the main tent," he stated.  Turning around partially, "What do you think?"  The kid didn't seem nearly as nervous as he was a moment ago.  He waiting for either a confirmation or a different suggestion.

"H-how did I get here?"

 Poppi looked to where the kid was pointing. It seemed like a main-tent-like-place to her. Well, his guess was just as good as her own. Poppi then pushed herself onto the bench and stretched up really high, giving a bit yawn as she did. Then, she turned back towards the kid, and held out her hand to him. Her smile was bright and welcoming. She really didn't have much of anything else to do, so helping this kid out was actually going to keep her occupied. Who knows, it might even be a little fun! When Nazesur took her hand, she held tight and walked forward towards the tent of which they thought would be the main one. She slowly took the opening and peeled it back, seeing what was inside.

Nazesur watched Poppi as she gave him a nod in agreement.  Then he looked down at her hand sceptically as she held it out to him.  He looked back up at the female before reluctantly grabbing her hand.  She squeezed it tightly before dragging him along behind her past all the people.  He didn't like being treated like a kid and he definitely felt like one now as she pulled him along.  Then they reached the tent and poked their heads inside.  Somehow, the tent looked even larger on the inside.  Raised seating circled around the main stage below in a half moon shape.  The ceiling was high and what appeared to be stars dotted the top making it feel distant.  The blueish lighting in the tent also appeared to leech away any form of color so it appeared like they were stepping into a black and white film.  Somehow, even with the muted colors, it was not dull to look at.  It was wide, mystical, and...somewhat ominous.

"H-how did I get here?"

 Poppi's eyes widened in awe at what she saw. This place was so mystical looking? She stood there for a moment, taking it all in... It was just... Fantastic.... She had no words to explain the feelings swirling around her. It was nothing she'd ever seen before. It was truly.... Unique. The thought made her grin widely, unable to control the giggling that was seeping out of her mouth. She covered her mouth a bit to calm herself down before she looked down at Nazesur, smiling.
 "Let's go take a seat"
 She said as she dropped his hand and headed towards two empty seats near the front. She plopped down in one of them and pulled her hood back. She then shook her head vigorously, poofing her short green locks out a bit from being flattened by the hood. She smiled widely the whole time. She was starting to get excited, what was to come!?

"Sanity? What's that? Can I eat it!?"

Nazesur was caught in awe of his surroundings only to broken from his stare by Poppi addressing him.  He blinked then followed her to the seats she moved to.  The dull murmur of others buzzed around them as they chatted with one another.  Slowly the tent began filling as the time of the performance drew near.  The murmuring grew louder as people began filing in and shuffling to their seats.  Anticipation filled the air.  Then the boy's eyes fell to the center stage as a tall black and white figure stepped into the center of the ring.  It was that clown in the top hat from before!  He stood quietly with his hands folded behind his back and there was no spotlight on the clown so it took a while before other people in the audience took notice of the man.  "It's him," Nasesur said giving Poppi's sleeve a slight tug.  The man did not move, nor did he speak as he watched as the audience grew and filled the seats.  He was just looking on silently with his icy blue eyes.

"H-how did I get here?"

Poppi allowed her eyes to wonder around the place, taking it all in. The buzzing of people around her didn't bother her one bit. They were simply a black background to a gray setting. When Nazesur tugged on Poppi's sleeve, she turned to where he was pointing, and raised her eyebrows. She gave a confirming nod.
"Sure is... What is he standing around for? Maybe he's waiting for everyone to quiet down... What is he up to? "
Poppi said while rubbing her chin. She simply sat and watched as he stood there. She wondered what he was up to.... Whatever it was, he himself was a huge mystery.

A Mysterious Clown

Murmurs grew quieter as they took notice of the clown down below.  Then the lights began to fall dimmer and dimmer until the only light in the tent were the glimmering "stars" above.  Exasperated noises rang throughout the audience in either awe of the "stars" or fear of the darkness that now surrounded them.  Then a white spotlight faded in on the clown that still hadn't left his post.  It begins.

"Ah, it's good to see all of you have decided to join us for our grand performance.  Here you will see a wide array of acts that our troupe as worked so long and hard on.  You honor us with your presence and so in return we will take you to a place you have only ever seen behind closed eyes," he spread his arms wide, "We welcome you all to the Zirkus der Träume!" he exclaimed before the light suddenly shut off.

 Poppi narrowed her eyes a bit as she watched the clown that she had met earlier. What exactly was this? It couldn't just some simple circus... Circuses were normally filed with color while here it was just.... So colorless.... As she listened to what the clown said, she furrowed her brows a bit and bit her cheek. Everything seemed normal... However, when the lights shut off, she had the urge to grab Nazesur's arm. She held it tightly, but not to where it would hurt.
 "Don't move Nazesur..."
 She murmured quietly, waiting for something to happen.

"Sanity? What's that? Can I eat it!?"

Nazesur watched the clown uneasily as he gave them all his speech which he thought was a little, well, brief.  He guessed that he was just trying to have a short introduction before the performance began.  Then the lights shut off.  If he wasn't already on edge he was now as he returned Poppi's grip without a second thought.  Suddenly spotlights snapped onto two performers on either side of the tent.  They stood on incredible small and high pedestal holding rungs in one hand and the other outstretched into the air in a beginning pose.  The trapeze artists then held the rungs tightly in both hands and leaped from their pedestal.  It was at this moment that cheerful music began to play and colored lights began to slowly fade into the room.  The once black and white room was revealed to have been brightly colored and decorated the entire time.  The performers flipped, lept, and spun from bar to bar swinging and catching one another.  The duo looked liked the were gracefully dancing in midair now completely weightless.

 Poppi narrowed her eyes towards the act that had began. So far, everything seemed harmless... They jumped and flipped, then colours began to appear. It was really amazing.... No Poppi! Something isn't right! She had this odd feeling down her spinal cord about this whole place. The people. The colours. The Clown.... Where was the ringmaster anyway? Wasn't he the one whom was supposed to introduce the act? She sighed a bit and watched as the artists jumped and lept, spun and twirled, and danced their way through the air. Poppi gave a gentle sigh as she kept her hold on Nazesur, but it started to loosen a bit. Her expression was.... Confused. She didn't know exactly how to react to all of this.
 "So far... They seem harmless. This place seems normal... However, I have this strange feeling..."
She said softly with a light sigh. It was one of those feelings when you watch a parody of a cartoon... And you're just waiting for the shit storm to happen. Waiting. Expecting.

"Sanity? What's that? Can I eat it!?"

Nazesur sat quietly in his seat dazzled by the performance that began before them.  The striking colors that contrasted the surroundings of the circus and the graceful dance in midair was all so mesmerizing.  His grip on Poppi loosened and the lights reflected in his crimson eyes.  Crimson.  Looking down the seats past Nazesur were all the guests many with the same look of awe and wonder in their eyes.  Flashing.  Something moved in the back of the tent.  The performance by the duo ended and the music shifted.  The stage filled with as smoke as female walked out onto the stage.  She was beautifully dressed in yet another colored outfit of blues and greens.  She was holding chains with what appeared to be weights on the ends.  The lights dimmed until they were almost out and the stage was lit with a blue tinge.  It was quickly contrasted when the ends of the chains she was hold lit on fire and she began swinging them around.  She began to dance around while spinning the fire around her.  In a way it was as if she and the fire were flowing around the stage like an unstoppable current.  Moving passionately with the tide her dance moved.  Like a vicious contrast of the two elements fighting with one another.  Her dance was like a battle.

 Poppi watched in silence as the first act finished their dance of flips and swings and spins. She puffed out her cheeks a bit as she watched the second as she came out into the center of everything. The fire was vibrant, and her spinning was majestic. She had a bad feeling still, but it was slowly exciting her body. She noticed Nazesur was calmer than before. Maybe.... Maybe she was worrying more than she needed to. Maybe she just needed to calm down a bit.. And enjoy the show.. So she did. She tried letting go of her eerie thoughts of this place... And tried to enjoy it.

And so the performance went on.  One act after another, the performers went on to show off their acts.  The whole thing was going along smoothly and it all looked like a dream.  That was until it came time for the knife throwers act.  A man stepped out onto the stage and asked for two volunteers.  After a moment of scanning the room he pointed and Poppi and Nazesur.  "What about you two?" he asked the pair, "Please come on down," he said with a smile and an outstretched hand.  Nazesur looked over to Poppi and gripped her hand, "Everyone is staring at us.  I-I think we should go," he said sounding a bit shaken especially since this was the knife throwing act.

"H-how did I get here?"

 Poppi tilted her head a bit when the man had pointed at them to be 'volunteers'. She made a bit of a face, for technically, they didn't volunteer at all. The greenette looked over to Nazesur, who seemed to be pretty shaken. She smiled warmly at him and tightened her own grip on his hand before standing up. She kept her hood off of her head, letting her line of sight stay expanded to see just how many people were looking at them. She took in a deep breath and looked down to Nazesur with a wide grin.
 "Come on! No worries- He is a professional~ This'll be fun!"
She said happily as she began to walk with Nazesur in to. She made her way down to where the knife thrower was, and smiled up at him. She then gave a solute with her free hand.
 "Ready sir!"


"Sanity? What's that? Can I eat it!?"

Nazesur looked up at Poppi and stood up with her as.  He smiled a bit, "alright," he agreed giving her a nod.  Then walked down to the stage with her looking around at all the people watching them.  It was strange to be standing on the stage like this with the lights blurring out the faces of the audience.  He turned his attention back to the the knife thrower as he stood waiting for the two.  The man smiled then turned his attention towards Poppi, "This way" he guided her towards a large wheel that was pushed out onto the stage.  "Please, step on," he said as it was clear that the wheel was meant for a person to get strapped to.

Poppi was standing beside Nazesur as she waited for the man to tell them what to do. However, he told only Poppi to stand up onto the spinning wheel of death. She smiled and nodded a bit before making her way to the wheel. She then stepped on, and prepared to be strapped in.
 "Exciting!"
She exclaimed happily.


"Sanity? What's that? Can I eat it!?"

Nazesur watched as Poppi was lead away and then strapped to the colorful wheel.  Then the man turned to him, "Now, I'd like you to go over and spin the wheel."  His eyes widened then he nodded and walked over to Poppi and the wheel.  He looked at her for reassurance then grabbed then edge of the wheel and spun it as hard as he could.  The man smiled and music started to play softly.  He pulled out some throwing knives then took a bow towards the audience before beginning.  He took a knife into his fingertips then threw the first.  It cut through the air and impaled the board between her legs.  Then came two more at her sides.  Then another flew to hit above her head.  The man stopped then ushered Nazesur over.  A little confused, he looked back at Poppi before running up to the man.  He whispered something into his ear and his eyes widened.  He shook his head, "You can't be serious!" he exclaimed then the man handed him his knives before walking towards Poppi and spinning her again.  He shook his head, "No, I can't!"  He looked between Poppi and the knife-thrower.

Poppi flinched slightly when the knives came zooming towards her. She closed her eyes tightly, each one making a noise on impact... But not with her. With the wheel. Poppi slowly opened her eyes, and sighed in relief to see that none of them had harmed her. However, the knife thrower was speaking to Nazesur. She raised her eyebrows a bit at this, and when he began to cry out, Poppi knew exactly what he askked him to do. The knife thrower went to Poppi, and spun the wheel. She looked at Nazesur with worried eyes, but a small smile.
 "Come on Nazesur! I'm invincible! You wont harm me... Not at all! C-Come on!"
She said, trying to be brave.  


"Sanity? What's that? Can I eat it!?"

A Strange Kid

Nazesur stood uneasily with the knives in his hands.  He looked at Poopi with a worried expression on his face when she assured him that'd it be okay.  There was an unsettled murmur throughout the audience but no one protested.  He set the other knives down holding only one, then he threw it.  It sailed through the air and buried itself at the edge of the wheel.  The spectators gasped.  The clown watched from the sidelines unnoticed.  The knife thrower ushered him to go on.  He took another and sent it Poppi's way.  It hit next to her shoulder tearing through the cloth of her jacket and nicking her skin.  He looked horrified but he pressed on.  He looked back to the knives on the small table beside him.  What happened next was something no one would have guessed.  He turned around with all the knives in his hands and a dull expression on his face.  Neutral, uncaring, he reached back then sent a hand full of knives at her.  They flew swiftly through the air and hit in a box shape around her face.  Each one was very close but did not touch her like the last one had.  Then he threw the rest.  One in each armpit, one at the top of her head, and the last at her crotch.  He faced the audience then a set of needles appeared in his fingers.  The crowd was in stunned silence.  The boy looked back to Poppi, a serious expression was on his face.  Who was he?  He began quickly flinging the needles at her one after another without seizing.  They were hitting everywhere, around her head, feet, body, and even between her fingers.  He only stopped once he had run out.  The wheel came to a stop and the needles had hit everywhere except Poppi.  The boy didn't say anything as he looked at her and the audience began clapping and cheering in amazement.

Poppi continued to smile at the boy as she spun 'round and 'round. At the first knife throw, she watched it hit the edge. She mouthed the word 'You got this'. Soon, the net one came, and sliced the top of her shoulder.
 "Ah-!"
She cried, but quickly closed her mouth. She teared up a bit but continued to smile. Soon, Nazesur looked... Different. Poppi's smile faded quickly when the knifes started to fly towards her. Her eyes widened with each knife coming, scared to death that one might hit her. Then, the needles came- Poppi closed her eyes tightly and refused to open them when they came towards her. She could feel her eyes water up, just from pure fear. Soon, she heard the needles stop, and cheering and clapping start. Her eyes slowly opened and a tear or two leaked out as she stared at Nazesur.  
 "Heh... Hehe... Hehehehe..."
She giggled a bit with a very nervous smile, then stopped, and just stared.


"Sanity? What's that? Can I eat it!?"

The Knife Thrower

Nazesur was still as Poppi stared back at him.  The man undid her bonds as the crowd continued to cheer around them.  Once she was freed, Nazesur held out an open hand to her.  Whether or not she took it, he would turn to the audience and give them a bow.  It wasn't till then that the man finally introduced him to the crowd by his stage name, Sting.  Then, he finally looked over to Poppi and gave her an apologetic smile before he was led to the backstage area and Poppi, back to the seats alone.  The lights dimmed as the final act was about to be underway.

"I always hit my mark."

Poppi was finally released, and she jumped down, placing her hand on her slightly bleeding shoulder. Her eyes went from confused and shocked to just kind of a bored look. If there was one thing she hated the most- It was people who were the same as everyone else. One qualities a lot of people shared was lying. She walked by Nazesur and took his hand limply, and when he offered his apologetic smile, Poppi simply glanced at him before turning away to walk back. What did it matter to her? He was just some kid she met... Thought, she felt happy to be around him. Only to end up being lied to basically broke her heart, even if things like the face paint should have given it away... Oh well. She left the stage and ended up pulling her hood over her head again. She made her way to her seat and sat down. She wondered what the last act would be? Maybe something typical? She was unsure, but either way, she would most likely leave afterwards and return to her life of being a weirdo. She wasn't against the life style but...  It didn't mean that is what she wanted forever.
