Area 69 (Assassins League)

Area 69. Why is it called that? It's classified. Area 69 was a top secret Freedom Society base located in the midwest years ago, unfortunately over time it's decayed into nothing but an emptied out bunker. It's still labeled as Area 69, but the hallowed military base has obviously seen better ways. It's abandoned, but there is SOME military hardware still left behind. Capturing this location could bring give a decent defensive location, and a few extra guns.

Emilia landed on the ground once she reached area 69. If anyone was following her they would be at Junk Town since it was the closest town she encountered. Was it a great place? She had no idea, but she had a job to do, and she did it. She sat down on a rock outside of the abandoned military base, and thought about today's events. She planned that she will return, most likely to kill Hannibal if another problem happens. Today was a loss, and it annoyed Emilia more then anyone could imagine. Then there were those children... The killer gene child... Should she had killed him? He would grow more unstable the older he got... She knew if she was looking at the world as a whole she should have killed him. "My heart is too soft." she said to herself before getting up and entering the bunker. She had no place to go so this would be a place to recover.

Ganta wasn't headed anywhere in particular but he had decided to stop here for a while.  It was a good place to restock on supplies and just siphoned some gas from one of the military vehicles to fill up his bike.  Even if it wasn't empty yet, it didn't hurt to top off the tank.  He was carrying the canister along with an assault rifle and some rounds slung over his shoulder.  There was so much weaponry here that taking a single gun wouldn't make much of difference.  Then he heard something fly overhead and land nearby.  He quickly ducked out of direct line of sight.  As the dust settled, he attempted to make a beeline straight to his bike without being noticed.  Glancing at her, his internal system automatically scanned the individual and stored her appearance.  He didn't really care about that right now, he just didn't want any unnecessary confrontation.

Emilia looked around the bunker, and placed her lance down. She might as well get rid of her armor for now. So Emilia took off her boosters first, but then paused. There could be people around here and she didn't know it. "Isis... Scan please for life." Emilia said as she picked up her lance again. "Of course Madam." responded the AI as it started scanning for life. "There is a male outside Madam. Intentions are Unknown at this given moment." Emilia sighed as she turned around, and took a peek out the bunker. She looked around, and saw a bike not too far away. 'Missed that...' Emilia thought as she took a step outside, and walked over to the bike cautiously and paused. "Oooookay... I know someone is out here somewhere. I just want to know the business, so we don't try to kill one another. But if you continue to hide I am going to think otherwise. So I ask... Who are you and what is your purpose here?" Emilia asked as she held her lance tightly for a fight.

Ganta's sensors buzzed as he was detected.  There was no longer a reason to stay hidden now also, the female was standing next to his bike having discovered it.  He straightened and walked out into full view.  Able to see the female fully now, his internal system began taking in smaller details regarding her person.  "I am Ganta," his somewhat metallic voice rang clearly behind the mask currently on his face, "I am a mercenary currently moving from town to town.  I am restocking my supplies."  He glanced down to the gas can in his hand before looking back to the female, "What of you?" he returned the question.

Emilia was still tense even after Ganta introduced himself and his purpose. She looked around to see if anyone else was with him. "Emilia." she introduced herself before feeling safe. She didn't see anyone and her AI didn't sense anyone either. "I am here to re-group with myself. I am also a mercenary." she said with a nod. "Feel free to take what you want." Emilia said as she referred to the base behind her. "... By the way... I know you may see this as a strange compliment but uh... I like your technology. Whose your provider?" Emilia asked with interest as she took a good look at Ganta.

Ganta was relieved to hear that the female was just another mercenary like him.  Her name was automatically stored with her image.  He moved towards her, or rather, towards his bike.  He put the gas can down then turned towards her, "Thank you," he replied.  If he seemed unenthusiastic of monotone when he spoke, it was because he wasn't good at conveying proper human emotion.  He held up an arm before continuing, "My original provider is unknown," he replied as he extended an arm towards her so she could have a look, "They were destroyed and any information on them was lost."  He turned over his hand so it was palm up for a moment then lowered it.  Then he turned back to his bike, lifted the gas can, and proceeded to fill it up.  "Your technology is different," he stated looking to her as he finished filling his bike, "It is armor, correct?" he questioned.  Unlike her's, his technology was a part of him physically and mentally.  The only remotely human part of him left was his consciousness, everything else was completely artificial.

Bunny stopped and sighed, getting off her bike. She was glad to get away from Victor. It meant bad things if he was around. It meant...HEEEEEEEEEEEEE...was around. And that was really bad. "If they're around...oh boy...gotta abandon the area...real fast." she said, and looked at the base. She never remembered this place. "Huh...since when was this here?"

Emilia stared at the hand, looking at it closely to figure out how it worked. She wanted to touch it, and mess with it, but this was someone's arm now. Not a piece of machine that she could tinker with, so she remembered to refrain from doing such things. "Like most cases, but this one is special. The design looks familiar, but it's not like any model I have ever seen. I wonder..." Emilia said, being someone very active in the machine world, weapon or medical, recognized it, but she couldn't put her finger on what it reminded her of. "That is correct." Emilia confirmed as she took off a piece of her gauntlet to show skin before putting it back. "I make my own armor, robotics... I am now only tampering with AI. That started a year ago..." Emilia said as she thought of her AI. She wondered if she should give it a new name... Since Isis was kinda taken, but she liked it at the same time! Then she heard something in the distance and turned around. "... Looks like we're getting more company... Go and get what you need." Emilia said as she walked back, squinting her eyes. "Bunny?" Emilia called out softly with a raised eye-brow. Honestly she didn't expect to see the other woman so soon.

Bunny sighed and looked back at Emilia. "Ah shit...I wasn't thinkin I'd see anyone here." she said, and scratched the back of her head. "What are you even doing here?" she asked, looking at the woman, kind of oddly.

Ganta listened in interest when she claimed that his make looked familiar.  He tilted his head to the side, "Any information regarding my creators is more than welcome," he replied.  He straightened as she began showing him her armor.  He observed with piked interest as he listened to her speak of her development of an AI.  It made him wonder if he was even human at all and just a complicated AI.  The whole talk of AIs left him feeling uneasy.  Then a sensor buzzed.  "Unidentified individual detected," he voiced.  He looked back to the female when she told him that should leave and collect what he needed.  He looked down at his bike.  He already had what he wanted, he filled up his tank and collected an assault rifle.  He didn't really need anything else.

Emilia was tempted to look at Ganta in more detail, look at him in her lab, see how he worked. He reminded her of a robot to be honest when he mentioned Bunny's presence. Maybe she could be lucky and have him stay with her. Besides he seemed interested in where his parts came from. "Well it's not like I am following you woman. I came here first then came this man here." Emilia said with some playful sass as she referred to Ganta who was behind her and with his bike. "Anyway I am here to collect my thoughts and parts, and he's picking stuff up as well... What are you doing here?" Emilia asked as she looked back at Ganta. "No worries! It's just a friend." Emilia called back to him in case he was worrying. She beckoned Ganta to get closer so that he could formally introduce himself to Bunny.

Ganta watched inquisitively as Emilia walked off to confront this other individual.  He would stand by until further notice as he assessed the situation.  Emilia however, looked calm and seemed to know the new individual.  This was soon confirmed when she looked to him and told him that it was a friend of her's.  With that, he went ahead and closed the distance between them.  He looked to the red-haired female.  "I am Ganta," he introduced flatly, "Who are you?" he questioned.

"Bunny." she answered just as flat as the question asked. She looked over at Emilia then. "Not staying for long either. I dun like staying in one place for a long period of time."

Ganta watched the redhead as she introduced herself in a blunt straightforward manner before turning to speak with the other female.  Bunny's name was then stored with her image.  Having been brought into the conversation, he continued to stand around as the two spoke.  It would be considered rude to just up and leave now right?  He assumed that he would have to linger until the conversation was over or he was dismissed.  The two females definitely knew one another from how they interacted.

Bunny didn't really want to hold a conversation for long, but she didn't know if Victor was following her. Which would be bad. Very bad. She looked around for a quick second before really paying attention to Emilia. "Just living. Camping is rather...relaxing." she said, and then looked at her. "You two been traveling together? Surprised you're being civil to a man, considering your track record." yes, she was poking fun at her, but it had been so long, what could you do? "But yeah. Living. Killing as little as possible. Getting intel on a whole bunch of things. You?"

Emilia nodded her head, but she noticed that Bunny was eager to go somewhere. Perhaps her pursuers weren't far behind? When Bunny brought up her... Infamous obsession with men, Emilia raised her hand in the 'woah there' motion, and giving her a playful expression. "Hey, hey your one to talk Miss Not Really Dead. Has your death experiences gone up since then? " she also wanted to poke fun at Bunny. "Besides, your looking at a changed woman when it comes to men. I've learned to hold back some of my anger towards the opposite sex, and appreciate them as individuals instead of clumping them together, thank you... Also I just met the guy. " Emilia said as she looked back at Ganta. She felt bad. They were leaving him out. "Oh me? I've been traveling, taking on jobs to be either a hero or scapegoat. Doing some good deeds, inventing new suits and devices, avoiding the past, connecting with family at a distance... And now I am pursuing someone who I THOUGHT I took care of... Also I may get a side project soon." Emilia said as she looked over at Ganta again. "If you want... I can take a look at your stuff and figure it out. You may need to travel with me though if you want that."

Ganta continued to watch the two quietly as they conversed with one another.  He couldn't really tell the difference between different speech patterns and so he took every word spoken between the two quite literally.  This often led to misinterpretations however it has yet to have a significant impact on him.  He stored the details of their conversation not really having anything else to do.  The red one appeared to be in a hurry to escape from pursuers and did not want to linger for much longer.  He looked back to Emilia as she offered to assist him in finding out where he came from.  He nodded, "I would like that very much," he replied with that flat robotic voice of his.  Even if he didn't look it, he really wanted to know more about himself and he was grateful that she offered to help him.  "I have no objections to traveling with you if that is what is necessary."  He was ready to follow her once she gave the word.

I'm not pone for letting people get too close." she said, and sighed. She was feeling a little twitchy. That weird dream was coming up. 5 years ago was only the beginning...and now suddenly people from the past were popping up like flies. Hannibal and Emilia being prime examples. Plus Victor and if he was here..Marcus too. "That's nice. Glad to hear." her social skills really did go to the shitter after wandering all these years. She spied at Ganta, raising an eyebrow. "You be nice round her, or she'll scrap ya, ya hear?" she decided to poke fun at her a bit more. Finally, she needed to ask. "So...seen anyone else from the old days? Or...any weird people?" she asked, leaning against the fence, trying to calm her body down.

"Good to hear. I'm tired of seeing you get beaten down girl. Your one of the strongest women I know." Emilia said with a grin on her face. The first she had in days. When Bunny made a comment about Ganta she pretended to look hurt. "Don't worry about him. He looks like a strong fucker." Emilia said as she gave Ganta a pat on the back when he agreed to come with her so that she could study him. It was win/win. He'll get his answers and she would indulge in her favorite past time! And not be alone... Being alone does things to people, and though she wouldn't admit seeing Bunny, and Ganta... Made her happy. "Hm? Actually... You and Hannibal were the first to come up from the past... And I think I saw Mocha a year ago, though I couldn't be sure... I've more heard about people then saw. Only people I don't know about on the top of my head is Jo and Ryder. They've hidden pretty well... If they're still around. As for weird people... I met a very rude little girl who reminded me of someone... Can't really put my finger on it... And... I'm seeing more Killer Gene people..." Emilia ended, and suddenly felt very uncomfortable. "Sorry about that Ganta. We're catching up on things and leaving you out." Emilia apologized with a light blush of embarrassment.

Ganta's eyes flicked to Bunny as she addressed him in what appeared to be some sort of empty threat.  At least that is what it seemed like.  "I will not allow such a thing to occur," he replied in a literal manner.  Then he looked back to Emilia when she patted his back.  She appeared happy that he had agreed to come with her.  He didn't want to pass up an opportunity like this one after all.  It wasn't often that he ran into an individual who didn't immediately try to start conflict let alone one who was willing to help him.  He continued to stand quietly as she began discussing things with bunny.  There were quite a few names thrown around as well.  Then she turned to him an apologized for leaving him out of their discussion.  He shook his head, "It is alright.  Hearing you two speak is allowing me to collect more information on the current state of things.  It also allows me to learn more about human interaction," he replied in his way of telling her not to worry about him.

Emilia was happy that her new companion didn't mind as she spoke to her new friend, but that way he spoke confirmed one thing. He was indeed not of human origin. He was a robot like the CP units. "I see... So you ARE a robot. Fascinating. Let's see if I can find a brand..." she said and upon hearing Bunny she laughed. "I know, I know... But can you blame a girl for loving her tech? Well he's not mine, but you get the idea." Emilia said as she began searching Ganta to see if he had any brand on him. Robots usually did, and while she searched with her eyes she spoke with Bunny. "Yeah... One was just a kid. It's getting worse... I don't suppose you would like to share what your plan is to deal with them?"

Ganta continued to listen in on their conversation.  Killer Gene?  He's heard that term before however, he never truly knew what it was.  "What is a killer gene?" he asked aloud.  He looked over to Emilia when she seemed ecstatic about what he was.  Then he watched her was she began looking him over.  It seemed like she was searching for something.  "What are you looking for?" he questioned.
