Grimm Keepers Overview

The roots of countless fairy tales and bedtime stories can be found in Germany, where the Brothers Grimm took surprisingly twisted folk tales and popularized them; cleansed them. Tales such as Cinderella, Hansel and Gretel, Rapunzel were toned down by the Grimms and made into something more easily digestible, and what we read today are mere ghosts of what the tales once were. Little do most know that Germany holds more than the oral culture of the original, gruesome folk stories that eventually became what is read to kids today. The literal roots of the fabled Magic Forest- the one forest that is all forests -grow deep into German soil, making the land pulse with supernatural energy.

Strange happenings- epidemics, inhuman acts of violence, rape, bestiality -seem to all happen at once in the German towns that live simply and peacefully. Spread out over decades and centuries, periods of high Grimm-like activity has taken place ever-so-subtly, so that the pattern was never noticed by people with a normal lifespan. The disappearance of all of the children in the town of Hamelin has marked the beginning of yet another one of these periods of darkness for the country, and a new Mahou Shoujo International team has been put together to investigate. With headquarters in Berlin, this team is tasked with, first and foremost, finding the missing children of Hamelin. However, will the children be the only thing the team finds in this long-cursed land?
