↳ Oh, boy- talk about fire and ice, ancient and modern, east and west, red oni and blue oni-- you and Charles are not friends. Back when you worked with Paladin, you heard his name around plenty, like every other soldier working for his corporation- never ever did you think of actually meeting the guy in person. You and Charles first met when you were about seconds away from killing the Mistress-- whom, at the time, you believed to be an ancient evil goddess hell bent on destroying the world and stuff. Nowadays, you aren`t so sure. Anyway- Charles showed up last second, shot you down, and imprisoned you in Floor 0 for a solid two months. Real good first impression. You guys had a few chats while you were in your rotten cell, none of which really furthered the bond between you guys too much-- up until the day the security suddenly shut down, and being the opportunist you are-- you escaped. Charles, however- met you at the exit, and said his goodbyes. Every word out of this guy`s mouth is suspicious as shit-- you told him it wasn`t over, and it sure as hell wasn`t. Following the Holiday Killer Incident which ended with you being blasted back-first out of the Bell Tower- you awoke several days later in Paladin`s medbay, with Charles offering you eye patches and being all snide. He`s so creepy. Either way- that led to this, and you are currently commanding 'Task Force 0' and serving as the head strategist for Paladin Industries. While, admittedly, you feel somewhat at home serving within his corporation`s ranks again, and while you and Charles have made a personal pact to put your hostilities aside for the sake of the war at hand-- you. Do. Not. Like. Him. Your suspicions are high and you`re sure they`ll never die down- even when every suspicion of yours is met with a well worded excuse by Charles. He catches you at every turn- and you`ve been sick of it for a while now. The flames of a rivalry have been rising and escalating over time, and have finally risen to the roof-- the two of you have the unmatched mental prowess to brawl for days. He`s good with tricks-- you`re even better at seeing through tricks. This isn`t something you`d say out loud, especially not to him-- but, you see Charles as a civilian. If he were to somehow die as a result of this war- you aren`t sure if you`d be able to forgive yourself. As much of a sneaky asshole he is-- he`s still but a CEO, and he has no place on the battlefield like you do. He`s explained to you what he expects you to believe is the true motive behind his actions-- a motive that happens to be the exact same as yours. You`re both very interested in ridding the world of crime and saving it from it`s marred and tattered state- but with how much you guys butt heads, and how much you wouldn`t put any kind of betrayal past him... you somehow doubt the two of you are gonna get very far in your conquest. You do, however, respect him and his ambition. The two of you share a furtive glance at the future, as well as an fiery passion for protecting the weak from the strong. Or so you believe. It`s a weird, sultry mix of hatred and respect you`ve got for this guy... which you can`t say you aren`t used to by now. In this case- opposites most definetely do not attract.

↳ The memory of your first encounter with Emilia may be a bit blurry now-- but you do definetely recall the fact that you and Emilia started out on opposite ends of the world. You, like any other soldier among Paladin`s Ranks-- had heard of the Valkyrie. And you, as any other Paladin Special Operatives Forces Agent had switched bases frequently enough to see plenty of the Valkyrie`s attacks first hand. You served on the front line against her attacks on more than one occasion- one attack in particular left you a lone surviving officer in a front line evasion. You stuck around, aimed, fired, got dutifully ignored-- and if not for Shirley coming around and whisking you away, you`re sure you would have followed the Valkyrie along and gotten yourself killed.
You don`t think you`ve ever truly feared the Valkyrie, not now that you think back-- fear didn`t truly materialize into your lifetime until a few months prior to now. But, that aside- the Valkyrie was one of many terrorists that had assaulted Paladin back in the day. One of many nutjobs who went around crying about how they could serve up justice about a thousand times better than Paladin- the usual. The Valkyrie, the myth-- was not scary. What was scary, however-- was the woman with brightly colored hair who approached you over in Highend, asking to join up with this quirky little team of super criminals you created for your own benefit. You`re not sure why, nor why she stuck around-- you`d like to chalk it up to that sense of justice she carries on her shoulder along with her chip. She watched the beginning of your psychological downfall first hand, and shook her head in disappointment as you went up in flames and lost your old self fighting a war of rage, grief, and awakening. Time passed, and you aren`t sure when you stopped associating Emilia with “the Valkyrie”-- you`re thinking you were just that desperate for some support. You were an outsider in a hive of scum and villainy- and Emilia always stuck to you, one of the few people you felt was loyal to you and your cause from the start. It doesn`t matter now- the past is in the past, and you`re far too attached to Emilia to ever go back to seeing her how you used to. This was also around the time she started kissing you a lot. You`re not sure why, and your own shyness stops you from asking-- but, you chalk that part up to that last name of her`s. Melchiott. Got to be foreign, right--? German--?
If this blurb hadn`t made it painfully obvious yet- you, Josephine Beaumont, are entirely oblivious to Emilia`s feelings for you. You`ve yet to take a single hint- and the idea of someone like Emilia having eyes for someone like, well, you-- is an entirely alien concept. You never realized how much you getting involved with Ryder hurt your companion, or how hopeful your appearance in the Suicide Squad made her. You, for one, were overjoyed to have a familiar face around-- but, with time, you`ve gotten this weird complexion. You don`t like people undermining you. You don`t like feeling like you`re not in control. You hardly like people touching you. So, when Emilia came up to you several times to help you up after you had already shrugged her off-- you snapped at her. You didn`t hear what she had to say back, but, her attitude at the pool made you think that she hadn`t forgotten your little spat. Heck, her attitude at the pool made you think she`d maybe never had a real friendship before-- petty fights like that happen, you`re supposed to get over them. She overreacted, like she usually does. Emilia made you uncomfortable, frankly-- and you didn`t even want to tell her that, seeing how volatile she is. Though the truth of the matter is that you still consider Emilia one of your closest friends- but find yourself constantly irritated by her and her actions. She hardly listens to orders, and you`re fairly certain she`ll get herself killed on that account-- and she doesn`t realize why that bothers you. No matter what happens, Emilia will always be one of your closest allies-- and no matter what kind of spats you two get into, you`ll always be there for your friend, and you only hope she`ll continue to be there for you.

↳ Elliot and Akuryo were the first people you met in No Man`s Land-- you having gotten caught up in one of their infamous clashes. You`re not sure how you managed to put a stop to that- and you`re even less sure about what made both him and Akuryo want to join you on your quest to Highend. Your quest to Highend where you would proceed to get in touch with fellow Paladin operatives- and let them know you had successfully crossed the city and were ready to begin your soon to be successful operation, unlike all the other operatives who had lost their lives messily in the slums. No, you were different- and you have Elliot to thank for that. Akuryo had taken chance and chance again to lunge at you when you least expected-- each time, Elliot was vigilant at your side-- thinking back at it, he may have only followed you for more chances to beat Akuryo to a bloody pulp. That`s more than irrelevant now- time passed, and Elliot soon was the first super criminal you brought yourself to call your ally. Mentally unstable, yes-- stoical, yes-- unpredictable, hell yeah-- but, Elliot was your teammate, and you almost found it in you to call him 'different'. Here was a man condemned to a rotting death- and it`s hard to see, but he has an eye for the same values as you. That`s precisely why he`s been at your side for ever so long, and never turned back even once, even in times where it might have been better for him to do so. Elliot was your door to the realm of crime and disorder- and that couldn`t make you happier. Following your first victory against the Deathworshippers on the land you two would later go on to call home- he had chosen the name you`d be hearing for the rest of your life-- Vulture Team. Over time, the bond between you and Elliot was a smidge confusing on your end-- you`re not sure when it started, but you loved Elliot like family. You were overwhelmingly proud of his development as a individual, and seeing him grow damn near made your heart burst. You feel yourself to be partially responsible for his changes, and thinking about that helps remind you of the reason you do what you do-- for the benefit of others. After the Inquisitor incident, Elliot was another who sat back and watched the flames you engulfed yourself in-- he saw your transformation first hand. But, somehow his loyalty was ever unfaltering-- as was your`s, up until Kraven struck. You can tell yourself Hal Innsmouth was to blame all you want-- but, you`re the only one who seems to recall the truth of the situation. The memory is... fuzzy-- you blame that on your age. But there`s a chance you might lose Elliot, and the thought on it`s own sends you whirling down into an apathetic spiral of depression.
Your own reaction disturbs you. You`re almost ignoring him-- because acknowledging what you did to him would be far too heavy of a burden for your tattered mind to bear. His last words were to you and you alone, the woman whom is solely responsible for his current comatose state. He made it clear the only reason he fought was to serve you and your ambition- it was only then that you came to realize what you were to Elliot. And before you could so much as show your gratitude... he was gone. You never knew how to deal with loss, and you were never too good at moving on-- you`re sure you would have lost yourself in grief yet again, and Kraven would have gone on unopposed if not for Ryder being by your side-- even with that spurt of support, you don`t think you`ll ever move on past Elliot. You will never have another son so long as you live-- that role will forever be Elliot`s. Elliot was an explosion of villainy and color on your previously aimless and blank canvas-- you are who you are today thanks to him. You have a chance at bringing your new goals to light because of Elliot. Each time you were in Carrion Land- you couldn`t stand to look at him in that bed, a corpse awaiting it`s unavoidable end-- because you are weak. Your weakness is why Elliot is doomed- and your weakness will be your downfall. You`re just waiting it out. Without Elliot by your side, you will never go back to being as strong as you once were-- that you`re sure of. Now that you no longer live within Carrion Land, Elliot`s existence has been removed from your life for what seems like forever... and you wish you could have a moment to rock through your despair. You`ll continue to fight, as always- but he is a residential stain on your heart that will never burn away.

↳ Back when you were still after Jade, when you first met Bunny- you had, one could say, a bit of a squish on her. As in- a friendship crush. Though you were one of very few whom was wary of her alignments- her actions during the battle at the old bunker proved to you her valiance, and you only wish you two could have had more time together. In all honesty, you were pretty creepy from afar-- you weren`t sure if you wanted to be Bunny or be on Bunny-- but, either way- she, like the other veteran officers of Vulture Team, became a good friend of your`s, and a splendid ally.
At least-- until the day she found out you were aligned with Paladin. She attacked you, not to mention nearly murdered you midst your panic attack-- that entire drama bomb is a bit of a blur in modern times, and you do remember that she had temporarily left Vulture Team and you accepted her back with open arms. Despite that- since that incident, you`ve involuntarily placed a wedge between you and Bunny-- and you don`t think you`re very interested in getting rid of it. She`s only disobeyed your orders and undermined you about a billion times since then- you get that she`s trying her best to come off as a strong, independent woman-- you only wish she was able to do that while keeping herself in check at the same time. She`s positively entitled, as if her opinion should dictate how the organization operates as a unit-- she`s sociopathic, selfish, unemphatic, and still one of your better allies in the end of the day. You`ll call upon help from Bunny whenever you need it, give her a shoulder to cry on should she need it-- and try to be a friend, because even with all her faults-- Bunny is a wonderful (but still dorky) person, and you know it. You know her entitlement generates a gigantic blotch of jealousy for Ryder and his position as
More recently, this shouldn`t come as a surprise to anyone, but-- you`re going insane. More insane than you already are. You`re checking around every corner, jumping at every sound, crying and screaming and repeating and ripping your hair out when you think about the fact that Vulture Team is on the opposite side of the city from you-- and because of all this, Bunny`s statement about "capping" Ryder if he does something she doesn`t like has been replaying in your mind since the moment it left her lips. How dare she judge the man you chose as your leader, how dare she undermined your decision, how dare she undermined Ryder`s ability to lead and keep a sound mind-- and mostly, how dare she threaten her ally`s safety. Her lack of humanity drives you crazier- you can hardly sleep thinking about what may happen to him while you aren`t around. You swear- if she tries anything, you`ll kill her first. This isn`t a matter of concern for your precious boyfriend- this is a matter of her trying to take what belongs to you. You don`t stand for that. You`ll kill her first. This is entirely outlandish-- and if you were as mentally sound as you were a month ago, you would have been able to tell that what Bunny said was in jest, and get over it just as fast. But, you are not as mentally sound as you were a month ago. And you distrust her now more than ever. You two share a very odd relationship- brutally beating each other up one day, and going back to being close friends the next. Hopefully, when everything is said and done- you and Bunny can move on together.

↳ This here is Henry`s ex-boyfriend. When Henry casually mentioned over the phone that his boyfriend had suddenly up and left town-- you cried more than he did. As a matter a fact- you don`t think he even batted an eyelash at the fact. But, you--? You were livid. How dare that jerk--!!
Nathan is that jerk. Your first meeting with him happened to involve him taking a cybernetic eye you had just grown attached to, and if that wasn`t turbulent enough-- the two of you were soon tossed onto the Task Force together. Except, well-- he`s being paid. You`re not. Fuck him.
You are (or rather, you used to be--) someone very willing to move on if what`s ahead seems good enough. Despite your rocky start with Nathan, you were more than willing to try and lend a helping hand when he looked as if he needed it-- and his response made it clear to you that he was certainly not as interested in getting to know you better as you were him. Forlornly, you accepted that, and truthfully it did upset you-- things have changed since then, and you aren`t very interested in making any sort of bond with him now, though You feel silly for ever considering such a thing. Especially considering that every comment he flings your way does strike you at the core- he knows things about you that you don`t want anyone to know. Plenty of people have called you a "psychotic bitch"-- him blatantly saying that you were the sole cause of the deaths of your allies is considerably more haunting. You avoid him more than anything now- you know your psyche can`t take the damage he can so easily dish out at you. This guy`s a real ass-- not your enemy, but, he`s a real ass. Fuck him.

↳ This cutie is a member the Task Force you are so lovingly commanding. He`s a real quiet guy, likes to keep to himself- and you`ve... never done so well with quiet people. You think he likes you-- or, at least, you hope so, considering you find him to be one of the more agreeable members of the Suicide Squad. His native tongue is German, which makes you happily nostalgic- your ex-husband was German, and keeping the mind the brief lessons he had taught you while you were married helps you remember what he used to be like. You were having a hard time remembering what Claus was like before the incident. Either way, you try your best to utilize your German lessons in conversation with Smile in an attempt to make him a bit more comfortable around people, particularly the Task Force-- you aren`t sure if that`s working just yet. You`d like to help him open up some more, you wanna help him as best you can-- but the way things are shaping out, you may want to prioritize a few other things first and foremost.

↳ Inna is another member of the Task Force- another quiet one. Again, you aren`t too sure how to deal with quiet ones... you haven`t spoken to Inna too much, and you don`t know if she has any particular opinion on you- but you do hope it`s a favorable one. She`s foreign, you can tell- and you`ve heard that English was hard to learn for people who didn`t have it as their first language, but she seems to be having a fairly good time. The only thing with Inna is that-- she seems to have taken a liking to Zombie. As a friend, of course- at least, as far as you can tell. But, the fact that her and Zombie are so close keeps you away, quite frankly. You don`t want to be near him, he doesn`t want to be near you- it isn`t a good mix. Inna seems real sweet, not to mention she`s not too bad on the eyes either- hopefully you`ll manage to get a few actual words out of her in the future!

↳ When Ryder fell into a deep rut of depression- you were too busy experiencing your own twisted brand of depression to help. You, in your own twisted way, thought you were extending your hand to him, and he was rejecting it--- but, you saw him take Pugsy`s. And you did not like that.
You don`t realize how you`ve come to view your companions as possessions- Ryder and Ivy belong to you, and no one else is allowed to touch them. Especially not Pugsy. Here`s someone born a monster, a mutant-- who should have very well stayed a monster. Yet, he`s able to overcome the tribulations you are not able to overcome yourself-- and you will forever be disturbingly envious of Pugsy. You know it, but you`ll never say it out loud-- you don`t care if he`s Ryder`s best friend-- you despise Pugsy. Because who does he think he is-- going about on his way, smiling all the time, trying to upstage you and take what`s your`s-- it was his own mistake to let his fear of you show back when you were just that far gone, because you have no problem with using that to your advantage. Pugsy`s face reminds you that you`re disgusting- and you need that reminder sometimes. You`re so disgusting- that you`ve wondered before that if not for Ryder, what you may have done to Pugsy. Or, at least- try to do to him. He was promoted to an officer`s position by you far back when you stopped caring about anything that wasn`t revenge on the Inquisitor-- and he remains there today. You will never say it out loud- but you`re thankful for that. The very reason you hate him is what you know will be a slimmer of hope in Ryder`s darkest hours as Vulture Team`s leader-- that being Pugsy`s friendship with him. You`ve slowly come to accept that him and Ivy are, in fact, a couple-- and as a matter a fact, you`re thankful for that too. His fear has evolved into a hatred of you personally- and you have no qualms with this. You wish you could be the one to hold Ryder`s and Ivy`s hands... but, alas-- Pugsy has taken your spot, as you have feared. It`s time for you to stop being so... crazy-- and just accept that. You... just have a hard time showing that upfront. You`re too far gone.

↳ You`re... pretty sure you gave Bravery the "welcome to Vulture Team, ___!" greeting you gave most other new officers. It`s hard to remember- especially considering the furthest memory you can recall involving him was Duda`s death. You may have been quieter than Jack about your suspicions of the former Conqueror Worm officer- but you were ready to peg him as the culprit despite everyone else`s insisting of how "innocent" and "good natured" he was. Justice was justice-- and if anyone should understand that, you`d think it to be Bravery.
Even after Jack had passed, you continued to suspect Bravery in silence, afraid of speaking out due to the reaction Jack garnered by doing the very same. You knew you didn`t believe Kraven-- and you didn`t want the conditions of Duda`s death to be shrouded by mystery forever-- the answer was right in front of you, in the form of Bravery, but-- you could never say it. However, months passed- and soon enough, Vulture had more enemies than you could count. The possibility of the boy who had been loyal to your faction since you were back in Highend being the culprit has been fully erased from your mind-- and you reconsidered the answer to be the Family quite a while back. That aside, Bravery is now among one of Vulture`s more experienced officers-- and he has by far earned your trust, as well as your personal liking. You think your love for superheroes may be a bit of the reason why you`re so partial to Bravery- you`re a total nerd for that stuff. You`d almost like to take the time to discuss that sort of silly thing with Bravery-- but your duties as Vulture`s leader took up all your time back in the day. And, for now- you two are no longer in the same faction. It`s a shame- you feel like you`ve missed out on a pretty good opportunity for friendship... but, hey- whatever will be, will be! You think him and Gabriel are just adorable, having watched the development of their relationship from afar-- and wish the best for their relationship, and Bravery`s own individuality. Kid`s got potential!

But, that aside- Gabriel took a fast liking to Bravery, which didn`t do much for your opinion of him considering your suspicions toward the mentioned bluenette-- but, with time, both of them proved to be reliable officers. You personally think Bravery and Gabriel have made Vulture Team benefit in ways no one else has noticed just yet- people just love to subtract attention and credit from these two, Gabriel in particular. You blame it on his relationship with Bravery, and how he latches onto the former-- people around here are so quick to judge others who are more willing to open up, and show affection to one another. And at a glance- you can tell Gabriel and Bravery have opened up to each other completely. In more ways than one. ...You`re gross--
You know how necessary love is in this kind of setting setting, it gives you all a reminder that there is still hope despite the hellhole you`re living in, despite the trials you and your allies have faced-- and you can`t help but feel a slimmer of envy reach time you see Gabriel and Bravery being all cute together. That aside- you know Gabriel far better than Bravery, actually. Your first meeting was right after you had finished drinking with several footmen, getting to know them all better and having a generally good time-- you returned to your room all upbeat and tipsy, only to find Gabriel sneaking through your drawers. Which, well-- took some explaining-- but you did decide to let him keep your pair of handcuffs, figuring he`d need them more than you anyway. Since that incident, you and Gabriel were quite chatty together for a few months- most of your conversations trailing back to how cute his boyfriend was, and how frustrated you were with your would-be boyfriend`s... virgin-ness, quite frankly. Gabriel made for a real interesting, not to mention hilarious conversation buddy- you two haven`t talked recently, but hopefully you can get a little closer once everything is said and done. It`d be so nice if him and Bravery would be willing to double date...!

You had never personally spoken to him- and, admittedly, the fact that he previously sided with the Inquisitor doesn`t do much for your opinion of him. You don`t know much about his actual personality... but, him and Emilia once blatantly asked you if you hated him-- and that made you about seven shades of uncomfortable. Either way, you wouldn`t put a betrayal against Vulture Team past him, or Buddi. If you were the one calling the shots back in Vulture, you reckon you`d be keeping an eye on him, if not asking him to leave outright-- alas, you are not calling the shots back in Vulture. Too bad, so sad, cry about it.

Real, real sweet kid, you think-- he shows an awful lot of potential, and holds a gun like you`re sure someone showed him how. You selected him to accompany you, Ryder, and Bunny during the Holiday Killer incident- if only because you wanted to give some new blood a chance at glory. Thinking back, you probably should have thought to maybe not invite the twelve year old... but- he had proved to be quite competent, and the operation didn`t really suffer much from his presence. After you flew out the tower- you found yourself worrying about his safety, as well as Ryder`s, Bunny`s, and Jackal`s-- upon seeing him around Carrion Land during your visit, you find solace in knowing that he came out of the Holiday Killer incident alive and well. You`d like to talk to him more, sure- but, with you working for the Suicide Squad nowadays, you doubt such an opportunity will arise. You do appreciate him being around Carrion Land and supplying Dorthy with an adorable playmate-- and you can only hope they`ll both continue to be okay.
