STAR GATE SG-1 - WAR OF THE SERPENT

Long ago an Alien Race known as the Goa'uld took people from Earth as slaves and made us believe they were Gods. They took many of us away to other Worlds through an advanced technology called The Star Gate. After Several Centuries we over threw the Goa'uld force on Earth and Buried the Star Gate However 50 years ago it was rediscovered and up until 3 years ago before an Archeologist by The Name of Dr. Daniel Jackson came along no one knew how to make it work after we deciphered what it did. We sent a team through the Star Gate to another World known as Abydos where not only did a large population of what seemed to be ancient Egyptians live but the Goa'uld Ra Ruled there. But with the help of Daniel and his associates they defeated him... Afterwards the Gate was taken out of commission but the Military base housing it remained open in order to guard it in case a threat ever arose in which we needed to use the Star Gate again... Daniel decided to stay amongst the people of Abydos... ... ...

However 10 days ago the SGC was attacked through the Star Gate by a group of Jaffa Soldiers working for Apophis the Egyptian God of Snakes... in the attack 4 people were killed 17 injured and 6 kidnapped.

The SGC: SGC or Star Gate Command is a secret government organization designed to use the Star Gate for exploration of extra terrestrial cultures and technology to be used in the defense of mankind in time of need against a foreign alien threat and for the benefit of mankind... The teams they send on these missions are known as the SG Teams... The entire project is headed by General George Hammond

SG1: The main team SG Team is SG1 it is headed by Hecate Dubois and involves first hand exploration and dealing with Earth's enemies.

The Star Gate: The Gate is a technological artifact left behind by a mysterious race of beings known as The Ancients. It has the capability to send anything millions of miles away through a wormhole it generates. It targets another Star Gate far away on another Habitable planet ... It is made of a strange metal known as Naquadah that can generate massive amounts of energy but is incredibly unstable... the SGC has yet to weaponize it properly and believe it is impossible except on nuclear scale explosives... The Star Gate only has enough power at one time to stay open for 37 minutes... Star Gates only open one way at a time, in the nature of wormholes, anything that tries to enter from an incoming wormhole will disintegrate upon breaching the event horizon which looks like a glowing pool of water.

Tau'ri: The Tau'ri are the Humans of Earth, The Year is 1997 Earth and nothing is different there aside from the secret existence of the Star Gate. Some Tau'ri have the special ability to use Ancient Technology with a genetic Key Marker, as the Ancients were once very similar to humans genetically. (For the Sake of the RP all Tau'ri players have the gene and can use Ancient Tech.)

The Tauri Combat:
SGC Armor: (VERY COMMON) Simple padded light weight Jackets that resist damage from bullets and other physical weapons, works less effectively against energy weapons

Combat Training: (COMMON) Everyone in the SGC has been taught at least how to throw a punch but some know much more and are much more versatile in their skills in hand to hand and weapon combat depending on military rank and experience.

P90 Automatic: (COMMON) Is an automatic firearm most in the SGC carry one on missions especially when expecting combat, they are the main weapon of choice in the SGC, they fire fast repetitive rounds of ammunition.
|||
STAR GATE SG-1, War of The Serpent P90

SGC Side Arm: (UNCOMMON) Most SGC combat missions involve heavier stuff than this but for non-combat characters it's your best friend and for combat characters it'll serve you alright, they've been designed to be more accurate than powerful but at close range can still do some damage, good to finish a fight with or run away shooting with.
|||
STAR GATE SG-1, War of The Serpent 500px-Genaigun

.45cal Government Grade Sniper Rifle: (RARE) Used infrequently by the SGC for covert traps and diplomatic missions that end up south, These are mainly used for harrying the opponent during a retreat or giving a tactical advantage to ones allies from a distance, Incredibly accurate and capable of piercing all but the strongest grade Jaffa Armor
STAR GATE SG-1, War of The Serpent Sr25_sniper_rifle_by_mdawg909-d5de6ly

Frag Grenades: (RARE) Dangerous and Restricted from being carried by citizens, just a necessary precaution to prevent untimely deaths. Explodes after a few seconds from pulling a pin atop the device, releasing prepared wired and metallic shrapnel, heavy damage within a small radius... the explosion is limited in it's range of lethality but still loud and blinding in a wide range.

Jaffa: The Jaffa are a race of Humans from other Worlds who have been enslaved for the last several generations by The Goa'uld a race of Aliens who the Jaffa have been bred to believe they are Gods, however occasionally some Jaffa have their doubts, they also believe that the Goa'uld created the Star Gates and Jaffa are usually forbidden from all but basic reading and writing as a means of control by the Goa'uld. The Jaffa house infant Goa'uld in 'X' Shaped pouches made into their bellies, this gives them perfect health, quicker healing, longer life span, and immunity from diseases. However should the Goa'uld child ever leave the Jaffa pouch the Jaffa will become weakened below normal human standards and in several hours die. Jaffa can live under different Goa'uld "Gods" and each Jaffa has their rank imprinted upon their foreheads either as a Tattoo or a melted metal signet embedded in their skin. (Speak to me about which Goa'uld you'd like your character to be working for... if you want someone other than Apophis.)

The Jaffa Combat:
Jaffa Armor: (MODERATE) This is advanced metallic armor made of a heavy steel element that works well against physical attacks and energy attacks, this armor is more so the Jaffa in higher ranks stay in power over the lower ranks and so they can war against each other for their "GODS"
|||

Sodani: (VERY COMMON) Is the Jaffa style of Martial arts all warriors are taught at a young age... it is similar to a mix between Karate and Kick Boxing.
|||
STAR GATE SG-1, War of The Serpent Midway2

Mok'ta Staff  (Staff Blaster): (COMMON) A large Metal Staff that shoots slow firing blasts of combustion energy that leaves heavy burns but rarely kills... they are mainly used for mixed range combat and intimidation.
|||
STAR GATE SG-1, War of The Serpent Staffweapon

Zat'Nik'Tel (Zat Gun): (RARE) A Small Retractable Blaster that shoots slow firing beams of plasma energy... 1 blast Shocks Heavily, 2 Blast Kills, 3 Blast Disintegrates... There are rarely used by Jaffa and never used below Champion Rank.
|||
STAR GATE SG-1, War of The Serpent Zat_01

Tok'Kal (Shock Bombs): (UNCOMMON) Small Single use Electrical Stun Grenades with a moderate radius, used in the mid to higher ranks of Jaffa.

Hammond paced around the meeting room, it was almost time for SG1's briefing on the Abydos Mission... Where was everyone... Oh! Wait... Did he tell them when it was... he hadn't made the announcement yet... Oops... He pulled up one of the many microphones found around the base for announcements... He tapped it a couple times... HELLO!? HELLO?! IS THIS DARN THING ON!... OK I CAN HEAR MYSELF NOW! YIPPEE! SO I NEED SG-1 TO COME DOWN TO THE MEETING ROOM FOR A BRIEFING... AND WELL THAT'S IT... YEAH. Smooth General... real smooth... he sat down at the head of the long meeting table waiting for the team to get there.

Colonel Hecate Dubois

A moment after the announcement ended, Colonel Dubois entered the meeting room, a lit cigarette in her mouth, and took her place at the table near the general. After she surveyed the room to make sure nothing was recording the conversation, she looked over at Hammond and smiled,
Did you just remember to make the announcement, General?

Sarah awoke, hearing the message over the intercom. She sat up and looked around. She was in her room, at least the one at the command center. She let out a sigh and got up, getting dressed and ready. She knew what was about to go down, and there was no way she was going to fail. She grabbed her rifle and cocked it, and right before leaving, she looked at a photo of her family, looking at her blonde sister, Nova. She let out a sigh.
"I'm coming..." she said, and left the room. A few minutes later, she arrived, and took a seat, setting her rifle next to her.

Yamamoto Akemi
The Private

STAR GATE SG-1, War of The Serpent Img_ayato

Yamamoto was busy training with punching bags. He was so excited that he was going to go on this mission. A private who gets to experience what's on the other side of that Star Gate! He gleed to himself as he destroyed the punching bag by accident. Oops. Better not let anyone know that he broke it. Well it was old anyway so a new one would help! The intercom came on as General Hammond told them to report in the meeting room. "Woo! I'm coming straight away!" Then he took a sniff of himself. Phewee! He stank! Yamamoto quickly ran to the showers and cleaned himself, put on his clothes, put in his side arm and went to the meeting room. He was already 15 mins late and the wet hair didn't help. "I'm here now General Hammond!" Yamamoto bowed and sat on one of the empty chairs.

Colonel Hecate Dubois
Leader of SG1

Hecate smiled knowingly at his answer. I figured as much. She took a drag off of her cigarette and dropped her smile as Captain Votaw entered the room. She nodded at the girl.
Good Morning, Captain Votaw. She quietly analyzed the girl from a distance. So this girl could read minds? That would be very useful. She remembered reading that the girl specialized in rifles and long range combat. Those skills could be a godsend on this mission. Getting close to the Jaffa with their weapons was not a smart idea by most standards. From what she'd heard, she could work well with this girl. She appreciated loyalty and someone else who had a personal stake in this mission was much appreciated. It assured Hecate that  Sarah would work hard to make this mission a success and the Colonel was going to do everything in her power to ensure that it was.
She sighed inwardly and took another drag off of her cigarette as she heard Kawalski's name. Jesus Christ, first the puns kid now him. She wasn't looking forward. Kawalski, the eternal thorn in her side. He was going to make this as painful as possible. Asshole. While thinking this though Hecate kept a straight, serious face. She couldn't help the Captain hearing this but she could keep it from everyone else in the room.
And speaking of puns. Well at least the boy was a serious fighter. He seemed to have come right from the gym. She could keep control of most troops thrown her way and he seemed determined. He would have to learn how to survive while under her command, but if he wasn't too obnoxious she could probably break him in.

Kawalski kicked the door in and walked his way into the meeting room... Yo Wassup!... Hey General Nice to be seein' ya... Kawalski sat right next to Yamamoto at the opposite end of the table to Hecate and Hammond, just ignoring the Private not really seeing him,... He put his boots up on the table and set down his specialized heavy P90 on the floor with a loud clunk... He saw Hecate then Eyed Sarah... Hey Hecate how you been?... and "Helloooo" Captain... He thoroughly checked Sarah out.

Sarah sat there for a bit until the Colonel greeted her.
"Morning ma'am." she said with a smile, and continued to await the meeting. She noticed Yamamoto walk in, and glared. This man was late...and this was an official meeting. Didn't look good to her. Then a loud bang, and a man walked in, sitting down across from her. The thoughts started to come in.
"Hello sir, you're such a pig. I know what your thinking...literally. And no, you won't figure out what I look like without the jumpsuit." she said, and turned to Hammond.

Yamamoto grinned to himself as it seemed like everyone was here. Then Major Charles walked in. He's heard tales about this guy. About how he's a dick, tries to hit on all the ladies, how it seems like everyone hates him and it shows! Yamamoto moved a bit away when the Major sat right next to him and set his legs on the table. That seemed rude. After the whole tirade with Sarah telling Charles to fuck off, Yamamoto payed back his attention to the general. He was so excited! He couldn't stop shaking in his chair as he listened in.

Hecate looked over at the Major, just barely hiding the look of disdain she was giving him, before  taking another much needed puff off her cigarette and when she saw the one she was currently smoking was almost completely ash  lighting another.
I've been just fine, Major, and you? I see you still haven't quite perfected punctuality yet, considering the private made it here before you decided to grace us with your presence.
She noted his prolonged attention to Sarah and smirked for a moment at the girls response. Yes, she thought she was going to like that one.
She gave Private Akemi a look over before her face became serious and she faced Hammond.

Kawalski made a very Sexual Growl at Sarah after her comment to him, then looked back to Hecate and Hammond then pulled his feet off the table starred both eyes at Yamamoto... What the Fuck is a Private doing here?!... General you can't be serious!
Hammond looked at Kawalski with just a little Annoyance... Because the only thing he passed on his exam was combat and he blew your old record for the close quarters test out of the water... No be quiet while I lay on you all what you're gonna be dealin' with... Hammond failingly tried to talk as he saw, "the hip youngsters" talk... He pointed with his tiny remote and a projection of what looked like a desert and an Egyptian pyramid with a huge camp at the bottom with a couple hundred former slaves...
Kawalski sat back down starring at Yamamoto with a mix of disbelief and contempt... Silently pouting
Now you see Abydos is similar to the Egyptian desert, except for a few things, first of all most of the water is below the planet's crust because of the odd relation of it's 2 moons, otherwise it's pretty temperate, if there was enough water it wouldn't even be a desert... Now the natives are passive and kind, and were formerly slaves of the Goa'uld Ra, who got blown up 3 years ago... Except before that he seems to have sold a number of his captives to a different Goa'uld we've not been able to identify yet... this unknown Goa'uld is the one who attacked the base less than two weeks ago... We need Dr. Daniel Jackson in order to Identify this Goa'uld and navigate other ancient cultures that have been enslaved or altered by the enemy or possibly other alien races... Your job is to go to Abydos, find Dr. Jackson and bring him back... Any questions?

Yamamoto eyed the Kawalski as the man started to ask why he was even here. He was ready to respond when Hammond took care of it. This made Yamamoto smile in appreciation of his General defending for him. Then Hammond started to tell them about the mission. All this information left the private wide eyed as the old man asked for any questions. Yamamoto immediately shot up his hand. "Yes General, I do have some questions! Like how are we going to get the water on that planet if we ever go dehydrated? Do we know that all natives are passive and kind? What happens if one attacks us? Do we know what Dr. Jackson looks like?" Yamamoto said all these questions at one breath as he then took a quick breath afterwards. He then composed himself before saying, "I'm sorry for all of those questions. I guess you could say that I was...'enslaving' our focus." He then fell back down on his chair as he giggled to himself before breaking out into laughter. It took him quite a bit to regain himself. When he final did, he looked back to Hammond and the rest like nothing happened.

Sarah rolled her eyes as the meeting was starting. And then Yamamoto made a joke. She gave him the worst death glare, and suddenly made his chair fall over. She didn't say anything, but her expression said, "I will kill you if you speak ever again." She then returned to focus on the meeting. As Hammond talked, Sarah rose a hand. "Yeah, I have a question. Can we expect resistance to finding this man?" she asked. "And if so, what is recommended for taking them down?"

Colonel Hecate Dubois
Leader of SG1

Hecate listened intently to General Hammond. She understood the parameters of the mission and was wager to go. The closer they were to making their way to Abydos the closer they were to finding DR. Jackson and Will.
The Colonel took a long drag off of her cigarette as Private Akemi made one of his dreaded puns. Jesus Christ, they were sending this kid as a force against the Goa'uld. By the time she was through with him, he would either be dead or broken so thoroughly even the best surgeons couldn't fix him.
She gazed  at the Private giving  him a look that would cut through steel. She noted Sarah glaring at him with almost as much ferocity as she had. She smiled. This smile widened when she saw the private's chair topple. The captain may have just become her favorite person on this mission. She caught the woman's gaze and directed a thought towards the woman,
Captain Votaw, after this meeting we have something to discuss in private.She looked to Hammond for permission to speak and when she received as much ,turned back towards the Private and spoke to him seriously and without inflection,
Private Akemi, Both Major Kowalski and I were on the first mission involving Dr. Jackson. We will be able to identify him when we arrive on the planet. As for the natives, Dr. Jackson stayed on the planet to educate the Jaffa. This along with  our assistance in their rebellion against Ra has given the natives a favorable impression of Star gate. If we encounter any Jaffa who seem hostile to us, they likely are under service to a Gao' uld and not an inhabitant of the area. should we find ourselves in that situation expect an attack and be prepared to defend yourself.

Yamamoto was looking back to Hammond when he felt a disturbance or something trying to gaze him. He looked in the direction to see what it was. And there it was. Sarah and Hectate giving him death glares. This made the man flinch a tiny bit before he felt the chair collapsing beneath him. "Waaaaah!" He flailed his arms as he fell to the ground. "Owwwwwww." He rubbed his head as he set the chair back to normal and sat back down on it. 'What was that all about? Those to giving me those kind of looks? And what was up with my chair? I wasn't leaning on it so what made it fall over?' Yamamoto was clearly confused when Hectate spoke up and told him the answers to his questions. She then told him to be prepared if they're attacked. This made the man to clench his fists with determination in his eyes. "Right Colonel! I'll make sure nothing wrong will happen in this mission with my fists!"

George Hammond
General and SGC Commander
And
Charles "Mutha Fukin" Kawalski
One Badass SGC Major
STAR GATE SG-1, War of The Serpent SGC-Logo

Kawalski didn't even look at Yamamoto he just laughed... then lit a cigarette and started smoking during the meeting... Hahaha Sure you will kid, and the Jaffa won't fry you from a hundred yards with their staff blasters... you ever been shot at close range when the bullet's still hot, imagine that but about 4inches wide and on fire...
Hammond looked back to Sarah... No no Captain if you get any resistance it won't be on this part of the mission the only reason I'm arming you for this part is because it's protocol in case of an emergency... The villagers were incredibly tame and passive on the last mission, Daniel had to convince them to rise up against Ra so that they wouldn't get slaughtered by his forces... In any other case follow protocol... Assess whether a target is hostile, potential hostiles, friendly, or unknown; treat hostiles with lethal force, friendly's with as well as you can, Objectives with care and all possible necessary action, and unknown's with wary caution... But if you come across any of the enemy treat them as hostiles, unless they're any of our targets... Objectives are to be brought back here; Daniel Jackson, Nova Votaw, William Dubois, as well as 5 other SGC members.
Yo General is that all?... I'm getting tired of sitting next to the rookie!
Yeah that's about it, everyone go down to the Gate Room, any gear you need will be on a rack next opposite the Gate... Dismissed.
Kawalski got up, picked up his P90 and left... Dropping his hot cigarette into Yamamoto's lap as he walked by.

Yamamoto gave a glare to Kawalski as he started to laugh at him. He already didn't like this man. But what he did say was true though. Yamamoto never did experience combat or ever had a gun fired at him. He used to listen to stories from his dad about how terrible it was in combat. This made the young private tense up when he thought about it. He could get shot and die. Well that would certainly suck. Yamamoto then listened in to what Hammond had to say. He nodded his head. 'Alright. Don't take the first action and wait to see what they're doing. Gotta make sure I don't attack someone who's friendly.' Yamamoto thought to himself before he felt something burning on his lap. Just what was that? It certainly hurt and it was...burning!? He looked down and saw the lit cigarette burning into his lap. Yamamoto quickly shot out of his chair as the burnt cig fell down to the ground. A disgruntled face was shown on him as he was rubbing his aching leg. "Owwwwwwwwwww. I guess you can say that I was 'lit' up!" He gave himself a tiny laugh while his face was still shown in pain as he hobbled a bit before walking again towards the gate.

Sarah looked at Hammond.
"Can I kill him...please? He's a disgrace to this army, and I won't tolerate his joking around." she said. She was joking...sort of, and then walked out. Before anything, she turned then looked at Hecate. "You said you wanted to talk to me ma'am?" she asked.

Colonel Hecate Dubois
Leader of SG1
Hecate kept a serious face but just barely hid a look of disdain as she watched the Major walk out of the room. She wasn't particularly happy about it but Akemi was one of her men now and she didn't like seeing her men hurt. Were he a respectable soldier she might have offered the Private some form of help, but this thought evaporated as he spouted another of his insufferable puns. She glared as the boy as he hobbled away and barked at him,
Wipe that look off your face, soldier. You're representing SG1. That little smolder's nothing compared to what we have to face when we rescue the captives.
She turned as Sarah approached her, the look in her eyes softening. The funny thing was Will would have found the Private amusing. Hecate however didn't and likely wouldn't for quite some time. She took a drag off of her cigarette one last time before putting it out and addressing the girl.
Yes, I wanted to talk to you, Captain. You have the clearest understanding of this missions importance. I would like for you to help me beat that into Private Akemi. I'm not losing a soldier because he was too moronic to not know when to shut his mouth. You can put him as close to death as you want but after all he'll be put through on this mission I want him broken in.

Kawalski walked into the gate room with his weapon strapped to his back... He went over to the weapon rack and picked up picked up an SGC armor vest and put it on, then stocked it with two side arms, extra clips for all three guns, and a couple grenades... he pulled the P90 off of his back and strapped it to a belt on his armor then laid up against the wall next to the equipment rack waiting for the others.

Yamamoto heard Hecate and simply laughed to himself. 'She's right. If I can't take a cigarette burn, then how can I survive in the other world?' He walked to the gate room, seeing that the Major was there. He didn't really wanted to talk to the man as he simply got the armor and put it on. Yamamoto also took a bit of clips for his side arm, he might need them even though he trusted in his fists a lot more. He then simply stood on the opposite direction that the Major was standing from, just glaring at the man.

"I'll see what I can do, but he seems too far off as is." Sarah said, letting out a sigh. "I need to focus on the mission right now. There is too much at stake for me to fail. If he gets in my way of victory, I'm gonna kill him." she said, and walked out. She was very serious about this. She couldn't think about anything else besides Nova at this point. Why were they hiding this from her...why would they? She was gonna find out...

Colonel Hecate Wingate Dubois
Leader of SG1

Hecate nodded formally  at the Captain,
That's all I'm asking for, Captain Votaw. Our  mission to locate Doctor Jackson and rescue the captives is still the main priority. If Private Akemi or anyone else gets in the way of this missions success, they will be very lucky if I don't kill them myself.
Colonel Dubois dismissed the captain and walked towards the Star Gate with an expression of the utmost seriousness on her face. She wasn't going to let anyone get in the way of this missions success, not when they had a chance of striking back at the Gao' uld responsible for the attack and rescuing those taken. Hecate smiled at the thought of being able to see Will again then dropped it when she joined the two present in the Gate Room. She supplied herself with as many weapons as she would need.
If there was going to be a fight, she would be ready.
Hecate stood on the other end of the equipment rack, rechecking her weapons as  they waited to depart for Abydos.
